I was going to send you the clip, but I was so angry I had to leave; otherwise, I’d be out $75 for a new controller. I was trying to get my first signature win for the New Mexico Lobos at Neyland Stadium. Everything was looking good; all I had to do was not give up a 55-yard Hail Mary. Prevent defense on-no problem, right? WRONG. For some reason, Safety Clint decided to abandon his deep zone coverage responsibility to lock down the halfback running a flat route which left a wide open post corner touchdown, and I lose. I can’t explain how frustrated I was. Never stop exposing this trash game/company.
One thing for sure is that it will be a step in the right direction 😐

No ESPN license, no studio updates with scores around the country, no halftime scores or stats around college football, can’t see the top 5 coaches with the least Job Security in Dynasty mode, can’t look at stats on the heisman screen, no mass substitutions, can’t look at team stats screen that showed leading rusher, passer and receiver. Can’t see toughest places to play. Can’t see coaching carousel new hires. All of these was in 14.
The studio updates are literally only in commentary after a team scores at least ncaa 14 had some type of graphic alongside the update

The come down from the honeymoon phase for the defenders of this game is gonna be an all timer. I learned a long time ago to never trust EA. As someone who loves college football more than the NFL I should be all over this game but the more i see the gameplay the less desire I have to pick the game up.
I was a defender and so excited for this waited 3 years thinking about it every day and this game is horrible. Dynasty lacks depth feels lifeless every top team gets upset every weeks and have like 4 losses. Everything is set up just like madden with college teams.
They might actually learn some life lessons about believe internet mobs and corporate propaganda!

I had high hopes for this game despite EA's history. The fact that they had years to work on it & that it's Next Gen only made me think we would get a good game. Man, was I wrong! This game is so disappointing!
Player clipping all over the place (stepping through bodies on the field, rolling through legs of players, etc.), no performance mode, lackluster PS4 graphics, Crowd looks terrible during gameplay, boring commentary, lackluster Halftime Show, Horrible blocking, etc.
A lot of people are just happy to have College Football back & are ignoring all of the issues with this game smh. We waited over a decade for this? Do better EA!

That said, the game is absolutely trash in comparison to what I was expecting gameplay wise. While I can appreciate some of the new mechanics, it’s not even on NCAA 14s level gameplay wise.

@@darrientwyman1309 Saying a game has bugs does not mean that it is half-baked. I've seen some rushed games get released and that's not my cup of tea but older games definitely had their own bugs or glitches that would pop up. You can check into the speedrunning community and see much older games that were "complete" that still have glitches or unfinished geometry that breaks part of the game.
As far as why even comment: The title drew me in and I figured it was clickbait but was interested to see where he was going and it ended being a rehash of everything he's done since CFB was out in the wild. Then to see the other comments and his responses to them he seems to be losing the plot and getting upset that people can play a game and have fun. It's just a football game I just don't see why there's a need to spread such vitriol across the space because 'company bad'

I’ll apologize to you Ryan, on a recent video I commented to shut up and enjoy the game. I bought the game hyped that it was going to be different and after actually playing the game… this is a faster College Madden.
For example: I ran a power play where the LG is pulling to the right side. I’m following him like the play is designed and next thing I see, instead of blocking the safety he is in front of, he turns inside towards a linebacker who is already getting blocked and I end up getting tackled by the safety. I paused the game to check his awareness and his lead blocking attributes and they are both over 80. EA needs to let someone else make football games or fire their staff.
It’s not the staff’s fault(at least not the actual developers) it’s EA insisting on making a game every years not allowing for actual development and improvements

What makes is the best football game ever? Is it the depth? The features? Definitely not the gameplay. APF 2K8 has much better gameplay, so does 2K4 and 2K5 and I'd say any NFL Street game as well.
Almost every football game before 2013 has more features than this game.

I've had some fun with it but, the cpu logic and angles the defenders take really turn me off. The game has a lot of effort put into it but need a new engine.
This would have been the perfect time to put a new engine into play.
I like the game, played the 10 hour trial via Game Pass Ultimate subscription. I will continue playing once the full game becomes available in Game Pass.

They had all the hurdles to jump through with NIL, ESPN opting out, working with each player, revising for the new playoff system, transfer portal...I mean, there is a lot to this game. There are some bugs that tick me off. I am a customer and really enjoy the game so far. I just feel like they'll work as hard as they can to fix all they can. They seem to really care about this game. A game they built from the ground up. I'd imagine it's a little harder to develop than a D rated RUclips video.

You can clearly see the clunkiness Madden esque gameplay. But the one thing this game does better than Madden naturally is the variety you get and the atmosphere of college football.
That was why I liked these games back in the day. The game play still isn't there, but its better looking than anything I've seen from Madden. And it looks better than Maximum Football no doubt about it. Worth a purchase for me from someone who hasn't purchased a Madden game since 2019

ON TOP OF THAT, why is it that sometimes the fight songs don’t even work on some drives??? I wanted a realistic atmosphere.

Ryan one of my favorite things about you is that you know how to be respectful to the one's that get it but know if we want to play a football video game we have to understand what bs comes along with it, but can be just as respectful in your pointing out the things that ea is doing.

I have watched the last few videos on your channel and I always noticed how you always say hey like if you're someone who knows these things exist and are totally ok with it like I understand I get it. Like it's just nice to see someone who can actually articulate a valid point and opinion and do it respectfully was what I was pointing out. EA if anything needs to do more than just apologize they need to forfeit the NFL not being able to have other companies make simulation games clause but we know they're not going to do that

Softdrinktv made a great review and he's historically critical aswell. A huge difference is that he looks at the game as a whole and not broken clips cherry picked and analyzed in slow mo for 10 minutes. Moody just gets madder every year
@@bigpablo673It’s because they both care about two different parts of simulation football Ryan is a gameplay guy first and features second and presentation 3rd SoftdrinkTv is features first guy and gameplay second and presentation third so that’s what you get when you watch both channels if you load a football game up with features and decent gameplay SoftdrinkTv will love your game but still critique your game in gameplay if your game has great gameplay and innovative mechanics with solid features Ryan will love your game you’re looking at two different perspectives a gameplay guy versus a features guy

Moody for at least a few years cherry picks videos he gets sent and then proceeds to say the same thing while being increasingly more condescending to anyone who enjoys it. Every year the tone gets more pretentious and it's especially noticeable now that more people actually like the game

Look I'm gonna be honest ik the game isn't perfect but I'm having fun with it and at the end of the day that's really all that matters to me, if people don't like that's fine, there's more than enough reasons not to, but I'm a very simple person, if a game is fun to me, that's all I care about
For sure I wish I could play it (I have PC), but I think a lot of people are overthinking it. It’s literally just a video game, if you enjoy it, great, if not, don’t buy it or get a refund on it if possible. It’s not worth debating over it’s just a video game 😂

I get it Ryan…some guys missed a tackle, the gameplay needs work..cool whatever. I think it’s time to go into more depth about why this game isn’t as good as people thought it would be. Talk about why the game modes are so damn repetitive. Talk about why EA decided it would be a good idea to NOT let us create players and edit rosters. The game is going to get boring quick because of some missing features.

I got the bonus pack to get the game a few days early and they gave me 4600 points in myteam. I went to the store to see what I could buy and they had packs for 11,000 which was $125😆🤦🏽♂️✌🏽 I can’t believe there’s some idiot that needs an advantage at a football game fam so they’re going to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars for digital cards. That’s the reason this game will turn into madden within two years and ppl will rate this 2 stars on all platforms just like madden. Most ppl get ready the run game gone be like college but worse we not gone be able to tackle NOTHING

The thing that pisses me off most is that they claimed to be as detailed for every school as possible but I’ve counted multiple things wrong or missing with Cincinnati.
No Bearcat mascot (yet they have some of the smaller schools one but not a Big 12 schools mascot)
No “Down the Drive” chant with our UC hand signal which is an iconic part of UC football games
Nippert Stadium has a piece of the bleachers missing that connects to the back side of the end zone.
They have Cincinnati as a low NIL opportunity in game yet UC won the national NIL program award at the beginning of this summer.
And don’t even get me started on the 3 uniform options when CFB Revamped literally had 6-7 for UC.
Not only that, the cut scenes just continue to be repetitive.
@@RyanMoody21 I agree. I also don’t get the “it feels fast and wide open” when in my experience so far it feels slow and unresponsive at times. It feels like there is such a delay on anything I’m trying to do. Also RTG and Dynasty are filled with bugs, my RTG got gold on a practice and it never gave me any coach trust at all for it.

Imagine calling any game perfect. This game doesnt even look good. They look ridiculous when they run, pass trajectory looks as bad as ever, way too many meters on screen, generic presentation, wonky animations...

the fundamental issue with a FOOTBALL GAME should be about (play) execution / performance.
If you want to play single game ARCADE MODE online, thats fine.... but if you have a Dynasty/Franchise mode where the intent is to BUILD a program, then the onus should be on how you develop a winning team. What does your team actually do well? what resources did you, as the manager, commit to being successful? NFL COACH 2006 did this. It was the crux of the game where if you ran "Single Back Inside Zone" +50 times, your team was especially good at executing this play.
You shouldn't be able to switch playbooks at will and be successful in a football simulation. Navy shouldn't be able to zing empty set vertical passing in a game successfully. They run triple option full time. Make Iowa unbeatable with stretch, but ineffective trying to be run n gun.
This would make your career path as a coach matter. Who you hire. What kind of players you develop and how they are developed. There should be a focus on strength & conditioning (huge part of every football program) that factors in for a college football simulation game.
This game is so bare bones, basic generic ea literally just robbed everybody no customization no editing recruits number changing nothing ppl will get tired of the ish by next month
All those features are sandbanged and will be released over the next 4 years

You see things like this and you just shake your head, somebody said this game is ready, somebody said there are no problems, they are already saying "this game is perfect." I saw Softdrink's review and I was surprised by his rating of it. His praise though is backed up by all the things madden couldn't do in the last decade. Its not easy to be honest about the game right now - Ive got more nasty comments the last few days than I have the last 5 years. But thats ok, because resolve wont sway. In time, you guys will all see this game for what is really is.
