I agree with most of what you say about the Development of Madden football & CF25 how year over year Ea sports give us a game that's full of glitches and bad game logic My brother works for the federal government and does cyber security and he writes programs for security programs and even on that level there is still always glitches and program failures. He helped me realize that we aren't there yet with technology for Ea to be able to provide a ALMOST flawless game due to the fact that Compute technology just isn't there yet. Granted there are other areas of the game that should be perfect to make up for the errors in compute that is just flawed from a programming state . But there's just things that can't be over come due to the state of programming just will never ever be perfect no matter what the program is when it's a complex system

No BS, i downloaded the trial and went into practice on all madden, ran a comeback route and as my qb was winding up to throw the ball, the cornerback that was running with his back to the qb, broke on the ball like he had eyes in the back of his head and intercepted the ball, he broke on the ball before the receiver did. I immediately deleted the trial

The game really hasn’t improved since we hit the PS5 era. The key is stop buying it, posting about it. Stop liking, sharing. Their sales are through the roof they aren’t going to change anything.
For as good as the 6th gen versions of Madden 07 and 08 are. You can pretty much boot up either one right now and not notice many differences between the two. Which perfectly sums up a lot of current sports games.
It's definitely not Real Physics based! It's all animation based. This is why there's still so much player clipping in the game (feet & legs clipping through bodies, arms & limbs fusing through body parts when getting up from tackles, players rolling right through the legs of other players, stepping through bodies on the field, etc.) If there was Real Physics, collision detection for body parts would be respected at all times.. EA once again is pulling the wool over our eyes smh.

@@durrikand even there it’s not physics, I downloaded the trial in the Oklahoma drill 4 out 5 tackles I made with a perfectly timed hitstick had the exact same outcome and animation how the tackle was made and how the ballcarrier fell..
What EA did is just add more variables to the dice roll that occurs in their animation based engine. So it factors in weight, speed, etc now on top of the previous four player attributes it took into consideration when choosing what animation to play out when player contact is being rendered. Actual physics would require game mesh rigs that can be weight painted and the outdated Frostbite engine does not support weight painting or any kind of physics-rigged meshes. As always, they sold their uninformed player base an out and out lie.
I played Tecmo Superbowl Gold with legends and I stayed up all night. Only the 2K5 & Madden 08' ever had me like that. I'm good no matter what EA does, I'm good. Ryan Moody keep up the honesty.
I grabbed the 10-hour trial. I uninstalled it after two hours. It lasted an hour longer than 23 or 24. I've been playing Madden since 1992. At this point, I want to fight someone over how half-assed this is developed. All you have to do is develop it in Unreal 5 and get some playtesters that aren't a bunch of throne sniffers that want advanced copies for their RUclips content. Hell, I'll do it.
I bought the Deluxe edition and it was the first time I have ever refunded a madden game, PC version won’t even get mods until November/december, even when mods do come out it will be far to late into the life cycle, and updates constantly break the game!
The last madden i played was madden 10. I decided to buy madden 24 and realized i havent missed anything, and now i have no interest in playing madden 25 or any other trash game EA releases.

It's a watered down product with emphasis placed on "stars" and storylines rather than the actual game and product on the field. It's oversaturated with rules to where there is zero flow to the game due to constant stoppages. It's oversold with ad time due to greed to the point half of a 4 hour game is commercial breaks. More players than not who are completely unlikable and represent the absolute worst of pro athlete behavior. Fantasy football has driven coverage to focus on the casual fan instead of actual football fans. The television commentary teams are absolute garbage. EA. Exclusive rights deal. Enough said. I still love football, and consume it weekly. But the NFL is not the majority of football that I have interest in consuming. I watch far more of the state high school ball and our 9-time FBS college champion NDSU Bison than I do the NFL or FCS college product. That football is at least just about football and not all this other stupid nonsense. I feel like at best, the NFL is geared toward the "team superfan" kind of consumer - the guy who covers his car in bumper stickers and lives and dies with one specific team. They shout and yell at the tv and have an emotional investment, but don't really know what they're looking at or talking about. I played the game once upon a time at a Division I level (not bragging, just explaining my point of view of the league) and I just want to watch good football and coverage based on X's and O's, not drama and stars. I don't have a "favorite team" and don't want one. I prefer a product that's just about the game and competition, not all the unnecessary hype. My two cents.

My 97 overall Imported QB from cfb25 with 94 speed and 99 accuracy 2x heisman and 2x all-everything is a 65 overall. Drafted 16th overall, and you only get 5 addition points to spend. What a rip off. Finally skipping this year.

Start making a game that only includes Play Now I don’t care but get down the basics of a) physics and b) football first, get the foundation then add every other modes. It can’t be hard to program switch to the defender closest to the ball carrier but here we are. I played so much Ps2 gen football and almost never had player switching issues.
I know OG madden players don’t defend this game…it’s only the new kids on the block and the paid RUclipsrs. They need to rebuild this game from the ground up, it’s the only way it’s going to get better but they won’t do that cause it’s too much work.
I haven't purchased an EA Sports Madden game since 2001... yes, 2001. And i STILL find that game very enjoyable, if not nostalgic. People need to STOP paying $80+ each year for a glorified update, otherwise EA Sports will continue to mail-in dogshit tacos like this ...

Time to move on from Frostbite, Backbreaker is a perfect example of what can be accomplished, that's a small budget game. Now enter Madden, something that makes dumptrucks of money. Physics based and All-Pro 2K8 gameplay. It can be done with much much smaller budgets than what EA has with Madden. The animation thing is not going to work, there's a billion angles, positioning, a billion scenarios, what they're trying to do cannot be done, you'd need a trillion animations to be smooth and realistic. I don't even care, just copy 2k5, All-Pro 2k8 with a bit of physics, current graphics and Its probably the only game I'd play. Instead I don't play any Maddens, not for years, and anytime I've bought it the last 10 years, it's been under 10 dollars, I won't spend more than 10 dollars on Madden! 2K5 was 20 bucks! I would've spent 50 or 60 dollars on 2k5. If 2k made a modern football game idk they could make a price too high. Madden though, is a mobile free to play style game that costs 60 to whatever other editions, it's worth 10 dollars. I might play 25 in a year when it's in the bargain bin for 10 dollars. Used.

To defend a QB roll out or run, you have to set a contain. If the QB break the contain and makes it to the edge, you can click the right stick in and the DB will drop his receiver in coverage to go after the QB

The problem of capitalism. EA has no incentive to do right by its customers just like any other business. Power companies are starting to sue and charge customers for not spending enough leading to reduced profits. It’s bigger than EA. If they don’t deliver profits to investors the people in the C suite will lose their jobs. CEO job security is all that matters in America. We need the EU to make a law to save us like how they did the iPhone with the upgraded charging port on the bottom of the phone now.

@@WiseCivicI have downloaded the trial game on PC, mind you my pc can play the newest games in Ultra 4K, with at least 60fps. The graphics of Madden are bad, like very bad. It doesn’t look like a 2024 game at all. The optimization also sucks. When I enter the pause menu it puts the game info right over the menu panel, I play on a ultra wide screen and it just puts it in the middle of the screen right over the pause menu.. 😅
I appreciate Ryan's efforts but he's repeatedly beating a dead horse. We've known for two decades now that the only way to fix the gameplay is to throw out the engine and start over. I was a die hard fan since the early PS2 days. But I gave up a long time ago. EA has no interest in fixing the game.
Not only did they sell garbage but they sold them Madden 24 all over again. And they try to justify it by saying o the gameplay is different. New games should be based off of new features as well. The gameplay will be stale in two weeks don’t worry.
I still can't get over how they can't fix their AI defense issues... if you play sim def slow your AI defense will actually play better than if you sim normal or fast, also CPU off WR can't run routes properly they get held up on invisible walls and then the CPU def can jump 20 ft in the air or swat at a ball they literally can't see as the player has their back to the ball....
I dont understand how CFB is at least passable and Madden is so terrible. The physics dont work. Running lanes which are done amazingly in CFB is so bad in Madden. Passing in Madden is terrible. Don't get me wrong defense leaves a lot to be desired in CFB but its still better than Madden by leaps snd bounds
To be honest, I stopped switching defensive players a loooong time ago because of the game having me take over some random dude in the stands eating a plate of nachos. I choose one guy and ride or die with them until the end of the play.
I got madden 19 I don't like com vs com that you can make a 99 catch ,ball control , ball carry and that player get hit and drop the ball at least 5 times a game , also if I create a monster bo jackson he can't knock down big blockers weaker than him

That's one thing I really like about cfb 25. If a defender is attempting to tackle a player the other defenders can come in and hit them from any direction, and it actually influences the whole "fighting for every inch" concept. Even offensive players can push the ball carrier forward for a few extra yards. Cfb isn't perfect by any means but it's way better than Madden and at this point they should just scrap the ultimate team garbage from both games, give Madden to the CFB team, and and figure out how to make great football video games. I would say give 2K the license but then the fake would be even more of a gambling simulator than it already is. I think they focus far too many resources into profiting off MUT, and the rest of the game suffers. Just like 2K and the childish "TheCity" bullshit.

Played free trial and I won't buy based solely on the two additional broadcast teams who lack the detail of Charles Davis and Brandon Gaudin (and Davis & Gaudin kind of suck). For as good as the 6th gen versions of Madden 07 and 08 are. You can pretty much boot up either one right now and not notice many differences between the two. Which perfectly sums up a lot of current sports games.

It's definitely not Real Physics based! It's all animation based. This is why there's still so much player clipping in the game (feet & legs clipping through bodies, arms & limbs fusing through body parts when getting up from tackles, players rolling right through the legs of other players, stepping through bodies on the field, etc.) If there was Real Physics, collision detection for body parts would be respected at all times.. EA once again is pulling the wool over our eyes smh.
The only thing they even added any "physics," to were one on one hit sticks specifically, lol.

@@durrikand even there it’s not physics, I downloaded the trial in the Oklahoma drill 4 out 5 tackles I made with a perfectly timed hitstick had the exact same outcome and animation how the tackle was made and how the ballcarrier fell..
What EA did is just add more variables to the dice roll that occurs in their animation based engine. So it factors in weight, speed, etc now on top of the previous four player attributes it took into consideration when choosing what animation to play out when player contact is being rendered. Actual physics would require game mesh rigs that can be weight painted and the outdated Frostbite engine does not support weight painting or any kind of physics-rigged meshes. As always, they sold their uninformed player base an out and out lie.
I've said it every year until I'm blue in the face. Until they drop frostbite these problems will keep happening.

I played Tecmo Superbowl Gold with legends and I stayed up all night. Only the 2K5 & Madden 08' ever had me like that. I'm good no matter what EA does, I'm good. Ryan Moody keep up the honesty.
I grabbed the 10-hour trial. I uninstalled it after two hours. It lasted an hour longer than 23 or 24. I've been playing Madden since 1992. At this point, I want to fight someone over how half-assed this is developed.
All you have to do is develop it in Unreal 5 and get some playtesters that aren't a bunch of throne sniffers that want advanced copies for their RUclips content. Hell, I'll do it.
I bought the Deluxe edition and it was the first time I have ever refunded a madden game, PC version won’t even get mods until November/december, even when mods do come out it will be far to late into the life cycle, and updates constantly break the game!
The last madden i played was madden 10. I decided to buy madden 24 and realized i havent missed anything, and now i have no interest in playing madden 25 or any other trash game EA releases.

It's oversaturated with rules to where there is zero flow to the game due to constant stoppages.
It's oversold with ad time due to greed to the point half of a 4 hour game is commercial breaks.
More players than not who are completely unlikable and represent the absolute worst of pro athlete behavior.
Fantasy football has driven coverage to focus on the casual fan instead of actual football fans.
The television commentary teams are absolute garbage.

I still love football, and consume it weekly. But the NFL is not the majority of football that I have interest in consuming. I watch far more of the state high school ball and our 9-time FBS college champion NDSU Bison than I do the NFL or FCS college product. That football is at least just about football and not all this other stupid nonsense.
I feel like at best, the NFL is geared toward the "team superfan" kind of consumer - the guy who covers his car in bumper stickers and lives and dies with one specific team. They shout and yell at the tv and have an emotional investment, but don't really know what they're looking at or talking about.
I played the game once upon a time at a Division I level (not bragging, just explaining my point of view of the league) and I just want to watch good football and coverage based on X's and O's, not drama and stars. I don't have a "favorite team" and don't want one. I prefer a product that's just about the game and competition, not all the unnecessary hype.

My 97 overall Imported QB from cfb25 with 94 speed and 99 accuracy 2x heisman and 2x all-everything is a 65 overall. Drafted 16th overall, and you only get 5 addition points to spend. What a rip off. Finally skipping this year.

I really hope the NFL deal fails so that they either have to restart it or let others have a go at it. Time to move on from Frostbite, Backbreaker is a perfect example of what can be accomplished, that's a small budget game. Now enter Madden, something that makes dumptrucks of money. Physics based and All-Pro 2K8 gameplay. It can be done with much much smaller budgets than what EA has with Madden. The animation thing is not going to work, there's a billion angles, positioning, a billion scenarios, what they're trying to do cannot be done, you'd need a trillion animations to be smooth and realistic. I don't even care, just copy 2k5, All-Pro 2k8 with a bit of physics, current graphics and Its probably the only game I'd play. Instead I don't play any Maddens, not for years, and anytime I've bought it the last 10 years, it's been under 10 dollars, I won't spend more than 10 dollars on Madden! 2K5 was 20 bucks! I would've spent 50 or 60 dollars on 2k5. If 2k made a modern football game idk they could make a price too high. Madden though, is a mobile free to play style game that costs 60 to whatever other editions, it's worth 10 dollars. I might play 25 in a year when it's in the bargain bin for 10 dollars. Used.

switch stick is a zone mechanic , not player mechanic. meaning , think of the part of the field you want to change to, not the player.
To defend a QB roll out or run, you have to set a contain. If the QB break the contain and makes it to the edge, you can click the right stick in and the DB will drop his receiver in coverage to go after the QB

Power companies are starting to sue and charge customers for not spending enough leading to reduced profits. It’s bigger than EA. If they don’t deliver profits to investors the people in the C suite will lose their jobs. CEO job security is all that matters in America. We need the EU to make a law to save us like how they did the iPhone with the upgraded charging port on the bottom of the phone now.

The graphics of Madden are bad, like very bad. It doesn’t look like a 2024 game at all.
The optimization also sucks. When I enter the pause menu it puts the game info right over the menu panel, I play on a ultra wide screen and it just puts it in the middle of the screen right over the pause menu.. 😅
I appreciate Ryan's efforts but he's repeatedly beating a dead horse. We've known for two decades now that the only way to fix the gameplay is to throw out the engine and start over.
I was a die hard fan since the early PS2 days. But I gave up a long time ago. EA has no interest in fixing the game.
Not only did they sell garbage but they sold them Madden 24 all over again. And they try to justify it by saying o the gameplay is different. New games should be based off of new features as well. The gameplay will be stale in two weeks don’t worry.

I still can't get over how they can't fix their AI defense issues... if you play sim def slow your AI defense will actually play better than if you sim normal or fast, also CPU off WR can't run routes properly they get held up on invisible walls and then the CPU def can jump 20 ft in the air or swat at a ball they literally can't see as the player has their back to the ball....
I dont understand how CFB is at least passable and Madden is so terrible. The physics dont work. Running lanes which are done amazingly in CFB is so bad in Madden. Passing in Madden is terrible.
Don't get me wrong defense leaves a lot to be desired in CFB but its still better than Madden by leaps snd bounds

To be honest, I stopped switching defensive players a loooong time ago because of the game having me take over some random dude in the stands eating a plate of nachos. I choose one guy and ride or die with them until the end of the play.

That's one thing I really like about cfb 25. If a defender is attempting to tackle a player the other defenders can come in and hit them from any direction, and it actually influences the whole "fighting for every inch" concept. Even offensive players can push the ball carrier forward for a few extra yards. Cfb isn't perfect by any means but it's way better than Madden and at this point they should just scrap the ultimate team garbage from both games, give Madden to the CFB team, and and figure out how to make great football video games. I would say give 2K the license but then the fake would be even more of a gambling simulator than it already is. I think they focus far too many resources into profiting off MUT, and the rest of the game suffers. Just like 2K and the childish "TheCity" bullshit.
