@@RyanMoody21 EA has a super-long history of deceiving customers. One example: Madden 06 for the back then still very new XBox 360. One giant scam. That was my last copy of Madden that I have bought and played.
Some bugs I can think of off the top of my head while at work: -players all being freshmen from Alabama when being shown in the play call screen -skill points not accumulating when you fill the XP bar -only getting 1xp for yards gained in RTG regardless of how many yards -throwing the ball away but being credited with a medium completion -newly acquired mental/physical abilities don’t show until leaving the screen and coming back All in all, it doesn’t come close to making me stop wanting to play. However, that one where they’re not giving me skill points when I earn them is REALLY infuriating as I find myself hardly able to level up my player once the bug begins.

Yall know why this game got delayed? It's because they were still figuring out all the NIL shit and making sure they had every team and player to sell us to buy their game. It wasn't to fix bugs or known ea football issues, they all still exist and are present. It's pretty obvious. They knew if they could just show us uniforms and all our favorite teams and players, they would have a guarantee buy from college football fans. If the game was delayed solely for it be more polished and fix things, why does it feel so rushed?
According to EA, they delayed the game “to work on providing their fans the same detail and gameplay that they’re known for” I posted a comment and the article earlier.
Yeah I’m confused. Some complaints are so PETTY. Some are not. But the non-petty complaints can probably be fixed. There’ll be a patch. And has anyone reached out to EA? Do they not communicate anymore? All I can say is the game looks great but all these youtube comments are confusing. I need to make a list of all these complaints and cross out the ones that dont matter to me. For me, I just want relatively correct stats, I want to view mid season stats, I’d like to see my player profile wins/losses, adjust the difficulty. I heard the game doesnt track Rivalry wins using a trophy case anymore. Thats a big bummer. I personally have no interest in editing players, spelling errors, who cares.

I bought the game digitally last night at about 7pm. By midnight, I requested a refund, which was granted. I was shocked to discover that there is no “create-a-player” feature in this game. Every sports game I have ever played has had this basic feature.
I know. EA College Football 25 has removed key features that defined the series from the game. There’s not even a trophy room in dynasty mode, yet they claim they worked so hard on dynasty.

They used our nostalgia our childhood against us to get money it hurts. It really does hurt coming into that realization that that’s basically what they used to get money from us and they didn’t really care to put any actual heart into this game. It feels only the bare minimum amount that will get them passed, and I was it.
I tried refunding the game because it is broken, but was denied for having played it. Of coarse there is no way to re-sale it. EA got me to gamble $75 and I lost.

The honeymoon phase is over. I was happy to have a college game. But simple things are missing. Pursuit angles for one, basic blocking knowledge, coverage iq, and they can’t even stop the players from getting stuck behind a blocker during a run play. But yet..I can load up 2k5 and watch the runner put his hand on the blocker and move him. I could go on
yeah, that is ridiculous, and it just boggles my mind that you have all these people at EA who have their hands on this game, they have a Q&A department, Beta Testers, Game changers, etc, and not one person picked this up? The person who did the stadium art would have had pictures as a reference, they had to have known what stadium they were working on, I don't understand how it even gets past the art department let alone everybody else.
I told people that if this is what we got after EA claimed they worked on this game for 3 years, then we'll never get the game we want. Then when I complained about them not having a PC release I was called broke, poor and cheap for not buying a console for this game. Let's see how they all feel in October when the novelty wears off. This is pathetic EA should be ashamed.
I am getting a little tired of hearing my school's theme music every time I get a first down. Also, the visual look of "my player" on the field in Road to Victory looks nothing like my character-created player.
@@RyanMoody21 After one hour of playing, I went into the menu and turned the music down to about 20. You can barely hear it now. My menu navigation is quiet but it's better than the alternative.
You rlly start to notice the repetitiveness of the game and cut scenes prolly why I find myself not even losing but just getting bored and getting off it
EA hoodwinked a lot of people and honestly it’s worrying from a consumer standpoint. They sold a game entirely based on presentation and “feel”, but the gameplay clearly doesnt hold up as authentic or even polished. Even worse is how many people are already bringing up the content they want to see added in future installments. As I’m sure all of you in Ryan’s comments already know, this is as good as its going to get with NCAA. They are never going to take another full year to develop one, and its not like Madden has progressed at all in over a decade, despite constant criticism from the greater community. Might be a lost cause hoping that these IPs ever get good again, as long as these pro sport leagues keep getting money they dont seem to be too concerned, and even most of the people arguing against this game paid 70 or even 90 bucks to play it early. It’s always been about details with EA. Side line players and cheerleaders look like burn victims. Another issue I have is when there is an injury they go to a cut scene of a panoramic view of the stadium with no players on the field. Nothing is organic in EA football titles. We all knew this would be a cut and paste mostly. Outside of APF 2k8 editor this is the only way we can bring college style football to the table. I don’t think it makes us stupid as a consumer more like desperate. This game is not unplayable but it is littered with legacy issues.
i wonder if someone could do a video on the things EA touted as the selling points of this game (mascots - stadiums - passing - tempo - wear & tear - etc) and review / expose how those things weren't even fully baked in the game. The player customization - they made a big showcase of the cropped jersey (exposed midrift / hoodie) that has been ILLEGAL since Ezekial Elliot left OSU. wear & tear -doesn't even work / produce long term injuries / no way to manage reps in the game Its like Olive Garden running commercials for "unlimited soup & salad" but they don't have an bowls at the restaurant

You are so right! I am 52 years old. I have been playing madden since literally day 1!!! I guess EA thought I would be dead by now so they thought who cares about people that know we are selling a copy and paste game that has become worse over the years somehow. I am in Toronto Canada. To find the original college games from EA in Canada was hard but I found it every year and spent my hard earned money on madden and college. It was fun back then. They were trying. Fast forward to me buying college early because, like an idiot, I fell for the lies and hype. And how much did they pay a prestigious college football announcer to flat out lie about the amazing variety in how the game was called. I have lost all respect for this announcer. They don’t even say anything that makes sense with what is happening. But I digress. I hope to be healthy and happy to live another 50 plus years and never give EA another penny. Thank you for ruining g the legacy of Madden. And NFL and NCAA if you listen at all, remember all monopolies can fall. You are not too big to fail. Dissociate yourself with this game developer. They do not develop anything. They haven’t for 20 years now. Total garbage. And this channel and host is so right. I don’t have gameplay but I found a glitch where if you pick up a first down on a 4th down and you fumble the ball but you recover your own fumble, the announcers will say that you turned the ball over on downs. This was with the Reece Davis commentary.
Please tell me what untruth Ryan said during this video? No one is saying you can’t like the game, but to continue to make excuses for EA is how Madden, all the Star Wars games and much more have gotten to the state that they’re in🤷🏽♂️
Ryan, if you haven't done a video on it the SAME EXACT stupid player stats bug from Madden is here where it doesn't include everyone on the NCAA/National screen. There were actually like 20 guys with 10+ sacks in my last season but it literally only showed like 4 guys on the All NCAA tab, to see the rest you have to go conference by conference or team by team. This bug is inexcusable at this point, it's been in Madden for YEARS!
It's crazy how this game was sold on attention to detail, yet they can't even get the most basic of details right for a sport with a unique atmosphere. I guess that doesn't matter to the people that personally attack you on every video, though. Not that it'll make the game any better, but they don't seem to care about that either.
The amount of bugs I’ve experienced this weekend was embarrassing. I haven’t brought Madden in two years and this game has me completely over EA. No more college, no more madden, no more FIFA. They will never get money from me again.
I've sunk hours each night into this game and each night I find myself switching to another game earlier and earlier. That new car smell is wearing off and I'm honestly starting to feel like Madden 24 is better than this. It's sad.
@@RyanMoody21I agree. I had my hopes up but this game is just a glorified Madden on arcade mode. 1) Almost every game ends in a shootout and the defensive AI is still more idiotic than ever. Nick Saban himself would give up 40+ points in this sorry excuse of a game. 2) Pursuit angles are STILL a problem. 3) Corner, post, and shallow routes are still busted and OP. Defenders rarely cut off shallow routes no matter the leverage. 4) Slant or mid routes get taken to the house easily. You’re bound to give up points sooner or later. 4) Every QB, no matter the OVR throws the ball like Prime Tom Brady. 5) Inconsistency with under/overthrown balls. One minute you’re throwing 40 yard dots over the safety’s head then the next you’re under throwing a go route which results in an interception. 6) AI are STILL swatting or dropping open picks. This has lost people so many games. Even double covering a WR means a 50/50 chance for an interception because the AI always runs into each other instead of picking the ball. 7) Remember those OP routes I talked about? The same meta offenses from Madden are still prevailing in this game but worse. Chess and checkers game all over again. 8) Unrealistic physics. Players are always flying around or making dramatic hit sticks instead of tackling. Players’ limbs go wobbling every where and QBs bounce off tackles from DBs going full speed. 9) Horrible talent differential. There’s no way in hell Utah receivers should be torching my Alabama defense in MAN coverage ALL GAME. An 80 overall tight end could give a 89 overall DB the work in this game 24/7. The OP routes only make this worse. 10) Juke moves are overpowered (especially the spin move where a player does not lose ANY speed). Even the CPU on Heisman difficulty gets sauced up. 11) Tackling is extremely hard and doesn’t lock onto the offensive player even if you’re right by them. Not saying I want animation dependent tackling but there needs to be a balance. This game makes anybody look like Tavon Austin. Don’t even get me started on the repetitive broken tackling animation where you try to tackle from behind and the player wiggles off. 12) Kick returns are too easy in the game. It’s like a daily occurrence. 13) Offenses are too overpowered. Players make ridiculous catches in contested coverage and someone can backup in the pocket 7+ yards and still throw a dot downfield. Many more issues I could touch on this but I won’t bother. 14) AI still has problems dropping to the flats on shallow routes and waits for a player to catch the ball before going after them. 15) Defenders literally sit and watch as a QB runs out the pocket. A DB/LB will either stand between the QB and WR instead of engaging with one of them. 16) Unless you have a high overall D-Line. QB contain is useless. 17) Press will get you burnt 8 times out of 10. I have pressed in Cover 4/3 and my DBs still gave up chunk plays. The game is honestly a 3 star at best. People have given this game too much credit simply cause of nostalgia and their hatred for Madden. Ironically enough, I would play Madden 24 before I play NCAA 25.
Had a great audio clip earlier… I was up 35-7… hit a field goal with 1:48 left in the 4th Qtr to go up 38-7… announcers say “and they hit a field goal to go up by 7. Now the other team needs a TD to tie it up”… never realized a TD was worth 30 pts
I’ll admit, they screwed up UVA, in the game nobody is on the hill in the stadium but in real life, the hill is usually the first thing that fills up with people, I was disappointed in that considering they were trying to be authentic

The more the videos come out, the more you notice and the less immersive it becomes. Like, NONE of the band members keeping in step. Doesn't affect the outcome of the game, but I noticed that, and that's all I noticed.
In an honest world this game would be titled "Madden Football for College". Same gameplay, same glitches, same camera angles, they didn't even try to differentiate the game mechanics at all...
The intros and “pageantry” are genuinely the biggest overhyped ripoff I’ve ever experienced with a game. They bragged so hard on it, just for the intros to be the literal same thing over and over again. They bragged on pageantry, just it’s almost non existent because there’s ZERO presentation. Hell, even music. I’ve heard mo bamba 400 times because it seems they only licensed 3 songs (no bamba, sandstorm, welcome to the jungle)
I know it's a bit nitpicky, but it also bothers me that they used Oklahoma's font on Texas A&M's "Home of the 12th Man" sign. They also took the time to model the Corps of Cadet's uniforms just to not even copy and paste them onto the band. The band is wearing a made-up uniform. AND they play the wrong song for touchdowns. However, I'm mostly just happy that the game is finally back. I think it's a good game overall! Gig 'em.
The first few minutes of RTG I noticed they didn't test the game much... As if you have nothing on your schedule (no practice, no game, nothing) the game will say "Are you sure you want to advance to the next week, practice will be simulated."

you could do an hour video on just secondary pursuit angles...not tackling, not coverage... just the pursuit angles and what leverage they use. You don't see this in any real sport. You don't see it on Saturdays. Its on every play regardless of skill or ratings
The speed difference between ball carriers and the defense is crazy too BUT u have to user and take these angles i yourself also u can’t run directly behind players to catch them it has to be at an angle which is realistic

Still bugs me that Boston College's Red Bandana alternate uniforms aren't in the game. They have 1 alternate and it's a big deal to the school, but it's not in a game that hypes up the pageantry of college football.
I'm not even mad. lol And no I'm not a "fanboy" or "glazing". I'm realistic in this sense. Sport's video games are probably the hardest video games to program, because of how sports are. Honestly if you can program the rules and make it generally play out how it's supposed to you've somewhat succeeded. But a sport like football? From playing, to reffing, to watching how that game is played, I can tell how that might be the HARDEST game to actually program without glitches and mistakes. lol

For Ohio State. Their band uniforms are all black. The I is never dotted in Script Ohio. The Tuba player doesn't bow all the way down, the person that dots the I doesn't have a tassle on top of their hat so when they do the back bend, it never touches the ground.

Yeah I’m confused. Some complaints are so PETTY. Some are not. But the non-petty complaints can probably be fixed. There’ll be a patch. And has anyone reached out to EA? Do they not communicate anymore? All I can say is the game looks great but all these youtube comments are confusing. I need to make a list of all these complaints and cross out the ones that dont matter to me. For me, I just want relatively correct stats, I want to view mid season stats, I’d like to see my player profile wins/losses, adjust the difficulty. I heard the game doesnt track Rivalry wins using a trophy case anymore. Thats a big bummer. I personally have no interest in editing players, spelling errors, who cares.

I bought the game digitally last night at about 7pm. By midnight, I requested a refund, which was granted.
I was shocked to discover that there is no “create-a-player” feature in this game. Every sports game I have ever played has had this basic feature.
I know. EA College Football 25 has removed key features that defined the series from the game. There’s not even a trophy room in dynasty mode, yet they claim they worked so hard on dynasty.

Games been out nearly 3 weeks and the issues have NOT been fixed. Still bugs, still can't edit ratings or create players, EA is lazy as shit as usual.
They used our nostalgia our childhood against us to get money it hurts. It really does hurt coming into that realization that that’s basically what they used to get money from us and they didn’t really care to put any actual heart into this game. It feels only the bare minimum amount that will get them passed, and I was it.
They really did - they knew you wanted a good game and felt you would overlook so much. Then they gave you College Madden.
I tried refunding the game because it is broken, but was denied for having played it. Of coarse there is no way to re-sale it. EA got me to gamble $75 and I lost.

Pursuit angles for one, basic blocking knowledge, coverage iq, and they can’t even stop the players from getting stuck behind a blocker during a run play. But yet..I can load up 2k5 and watch the runner put his hand on the blocker and move him. I could go on

I am getting a little tired of hearing my school's theme music every time I get a first down. Also, the visual look of "my player" on the field in Road to Victory looks nothing like my character-created player.

@@RyanMoody21 After one hour of playing, I went into the menu and turned the music down to about 20. You can barely hear it now. My menu navigation is quiet but it's better than the alternative.

EA hoodwinked a lot of people and honestly it’s worrying from a consumer standpoint. They sold a game entirely based on presentation and “feel”, but the gameplay clearly doesnt hold up as authentic or even polished. Even worse is how many people are already bringing up the content they want to see added in future installments. As I’m sure all of you in Ryan’s comments already know, this is as good as its going to get with NCAA. They are never going to take another full year to develop one, and its not like Madden has progressed at all in over a decade, despite constant criticism from the greater community. Might be a lost cause hoping that these IPs ever get good again, as long as these pro sport leagues keep getting money they dont seem to be too concerned, and even most of the people arguing against this game paid 70 or even 90 bucks to play it early. It’s always been about details with EA. Side line players and cheerleaders look like burn victims. Another issue I have is when there is an injury they go to a cut scene of a panoramic view of the stadium with no players on the field. Nothing is organic in EA football titles. We all knew this would be a cut and paste mostly. Outside of APF 2k8 editor this is the only way we can bring college style football to the table. I don’t think it makes us stupid as a consumer more like desperate. This game is not unplayable but it is littered with legacy issues.
i wonder if someone could do a video on the things EA touted as the selling points of this game (mascots - stadiums - passing - tempo - wear & tear - etc) and review / expose how those things weren't even fully baked in the game.
The player customization - they made a big showcase of the cropped jersey (exposed midrift / hoodie) that has been ILLEGAL since Ezekial Elliot left OSU.

I guess EA thought I would be dead by now so they thought who cares about people that know we are selling a copy and paste game that has become worse over the years somehow. I am in Toronto Canada. To find the original college games from EA in Canada was hard but I found it every year and spent my hard earned money on madden and college. It was fun back then. They were trying. Fast forward to me buying college early because, like an idiot, I fell for the lies and hype. And how much did they pay a prestigious college football announcer to flat out lie about the amazing variety in how the game was called. I have lost all respect for this announcer. They don’t even say anything that makes sense with what is happening. But I digress. I hope to be healthy and happy to live another 50 plus years and never give EA another penny. Ryan, if you haven't done a video on it the SAME EXACT stupid player stats bug from Madden is here where it doesn't include everyone on the NCAA/National screen. There were actually like 20 guys with 10+ sacks in my last season but it literally only showed like 4 guys on the All NCAA tab, to see the rest you have to go conference by conference or team by team. This bug is inexcusable at this point, it's been in Madden for YEARS!

It's crazy how this game was sold on attention to detail, yet they can't even get the most basic of details right for a sport with a unique atmosphere. I guess that doesn't matter to the people that personally attack you on every video, though. Not that it'll make the game any better, but they don't seem to care about that either.
The amount of bugs I’ve experienced this weekend was embarrassing. I haven’t brought Madden in two years and this game has me completely over EA. No more college, no more madden, no more FIFA. They will never get money from me again.
I've sunk hours each night into this game and each night I find myself switching to another game earlier and earlier. That new car smell is wearing off and I'm honestly starting to feel like Madden 24 is better than this. It's sad.

1) Almost every game ends in a shootout and the defensive AI is still more idiotic than ever. Nick Saban himself would give up 40+ points in this sorry excuse of a game.
2) Pursuit angles are STILL a problem.
3) Corner, post, and shallow routes are still busted and OP. Defenders rarely cut off shallow routes no matter the leverage.
4) Slant or mid routes get taken to the house easily. You’re bound to give up points sooner or later.
4) Every QB, no matter the OVR throws the ball like Prime Tom Brady.
5) Inconsistency with under/overthrown balls. One minute you’re throwing 40 yard dots over the safety’s head then the next you’re under throwing a go route which results in an interception.
6) AI are STILL swatting or dropping open picks. This has lost people so many games. Even double covering a WR means a 50/50 chance for an interception because the AI always runs into each other instead of picking the ball.
7) Remember those OP routes I talked about? The same meta offenses from Madden are still prevailing in this game but worse. Chess and checkers game all over again.
8) Unrealistic physics. Players are always flying around or making dramatic hit sticks instead of tackling. Players’ limbs go wobbling every where and QBs bounce off tackles from DBs going full speed.
9) Horrible talent differential. There’s no way in hell Utah receivers should be torching my Alabama defense in MAN coverage ALL GAME. An 80 overall tight end could give a 89 overall DB the work in this game 24/7. The OP routes only make this worse.
10) Juke moves are overpowered (especially the spin move where a player does not lose ANY speed). Even the CPU on Heisman difficulty gets sauced up.
11) Tackling is extremely hard and doesn’t lock onto the offensive player even if you’re right by them. Not saying I want animation dependent tackling but there needs to be a balance. This game makes anybody look like Tavon Austin. Don’t even get me started on the repetitive broken tackling animation where you try to tackle from behind and the player wiggles off.
12) Kick returns are too easy in the game. It’s like a daily occurrence.
13) Offenses are too overpowered. Players make ridiculous catches in contested coverage and someone can backup in the pocket 7+ yards and still throw a dot downfield. Many more issues I could touch on this but I won’t bother.
14) AI still has problems dropping to the flats on shallow routes and waits for a player to catch the ball before going after them.
15) Defenders literally sit and watch as a QB runs out the pocket. A DB/LB will either stand between the QB and WR instead of engaging with one of them.
16) Unless you have a high overall D-Line. QB contain is useless.
17) Press will get you burnt 8 times out of 10. I have pressed in Cover 4/3 and my DBs still gave up chunk plays.
The game is honestly a 3 star at best. People have given this game too much credit simply cause of nostalgia and their hatred for Madden. Ironically enough, I would play Madden 24 before I play NCAA 25.

Had a great audio clip earlier… I was up 35-7… hit a field goal with 1:48 left in the 4th Qtr to go up 38-7… announcers say “and they hit a field goal to go up by 7. Now the other team needs a TD to tie it up”… never realized a TD was worth 30 pts
I’ll admit, they screwed up UVA, in the game nobody is on the hill in the stadium but in real life, the hill is usually the first thing that fills up with people, I was disappointed in that considering they were trying to be authentic

The intros and “pageantry” are genuinely the biggest overhyped ripoff I’ve ever experienced with a game. They bragged so hard on it, just for the intros to be the literal same thing over and over again. They bragged on pageantry, just it’s almost non existent because there’s ZERO presentation. Hell, even music. I’ve heard mo bamba 400 times because it seems they only licensed 3 songs (no bamba, sandstorm, welcome to the jungle)

I know it's a bit nitpicky, but it also bothers me that they used Oklahoma's font on Texas A&M's "Home of the 12th Man" sign.
They also took the time to model the Corps of Cadet's uniforms just to not even copy and paste them onto the band. The band is wearing a made-up uniform. AND they play the wrong song for touchdowns.
However, I'm mostly just happy that the game is finally back. I think it's a good game overall! Gig 'em.
The first few minutes of RTG I noticed they didn't test the game much... As if you have nothing on your schedule (no practice, no game, nothing) the game will say "Are you sure you want to advance to the next week, practice will be simulated."

you could do an hour video on just secondary pursuit angles...not tackling, not coverage... just the pursuit angles and what leverage they use. You don't see this in any real sport. You don't see it on Saturdays. Its on every play regardless of skill or ratings

I'm not even mad. lol And no I'm not a "fanboy" or "glazing". I'm realistic in this sense. Sport's video games are probably the hardest video games to program, because of how sports are. Honestly if you can program the rules and make it generally play out how it's supposed to you've somewhat succeeded. But a sport like football? From playing, to reffing, to watching how that game is played, I can tell how that might be the HARDEST game to actually program without glitches and mistakes. lol
Don't forget that licensing fees (team logos, stadiums, etc.) are so expensive that they eat a huge part of the budget.

The problem is this is the most work we ever seen ea put into a football game since the 2k vs ea days. It won't get better than this. Buy it and play it for a few years then upgrade. Skip madden this year if you bought this too. No need to double dip on the same game
