Check engine light error codes from a dodge caravan

- I show how to retrieve the error codes with the check engine light appears on a Dodge Caravan. In the example shown this is a 2011 Dodge Caravan. You can use these codes look up engine issues.

My cheap code reader is sitting in a box (somewhere) and this saved me from looking for it! I also had the P0128 (coolant temperature thingy) so I know I can look into it tomorrow on my day off.

Thank u very much had my 2014 Dodge Caravan for about a month-and-a-half and the check engine light goes on and off did the trick you showed me got the same code less stress thanks again

These directions didn’t work on 2011. But suggestion in comments said instead of from off position, go from acc to start 3x. That did the trick.

Did this and after the dotted line came up No Codes. Any ideas? The guy bought it from says that sometimes of don’t twists gas cap back on properly engine light can go on and goes off in a day or two.
So my caravan threw a low voltage code because the battery had died. I jumped the car and it’s been running just fine. The alternator seems to be charging the battery since it’s started every time since but I’m still seeing the light. Is there a way to clear the code?

I did this cause my engine light is on. But just lines showed up without a code. Then is said done. This is after I changed my bank 1 imbalance fuel ratio and spark plugs. So what can it be?

Sorry, but we have a 2013 Dodge Caravan and this does not work on it, nothing shows up, am I missing something ? Did it just like you explained it.
Will this reset the indicator light as well or do I need to take it in the get that cleared?

Will not reset the light. Disconnect the battery for 30 seconds, code will be cleared.

I've used this before and it works but today I tried it and I can't get any codes out of my van even know that engine light is on must be something I'm doing wrong
So i did this procedure and it gave me the code. At first. now it doesn't do that and the engine won't start...Doesn't turnover at all. Any ideas

Mines don't show a code at all. On Innova 3100rs show po6de. Fix it three time still no fix. Light still there
Can’t get out 2011 express dodge caravan to display codes.
Have been having some issues with the fuel gage and the dte will fluctuate when I get to almost 150 miles driven on the trip A.
Was advised that we do that due to the gage not reading true.
Recently the check engine light has come on and the gage will fluctuate from the half to E.
Was trying this to see what the engine code was and how much it would cost us.

Literally just got the se code 30° out wonder if the cold has something to do with it while I'm driving the temp stays at about 1/4 of the way instead of in the middle as normal

There are 4 switch positions: Off, Accessory, Run, and Start. Begin in Accessory position. You only use that position and Run. Do not use Off or Start. So: Acc/Run, Acc/Run, Acc/Run and stop turning, leaving it in Run position. Any code or codes will appear on the dash, followed by "Done" when there are no more.

If you move the shifter to the +/- you can move the shifter handle left and right to manually select gear.

On my 2018, I had to do it three times before it showed up. Apparently there is a pretty exact timing involved LOL
