Thank you I did not know the sex of of my cockatiels when I first got them they were bought it different breeders within a couple weeks it was obvious and like I said they are been in separate cages, but I do let them out to play. That’s when I caught him on top of her, but I don’t think it was long enough because there was no movement and I screamed when I saw it and he jumped off right away. I think I scared him. They startled me too totally unexpected. They’re only nine months old, which has me stressed out.

My Rosey Bourke would lay eggs in the spring. My veterinarian gave me the advice in this video. The tiny eggs were so cute. Jelly beans.

Awesome I am going through this right now. My cockatiel laid three eggs two of them broke she just laid her third. There is a male present and I caught him on top of her outside the cage because they’re in separate cages but so far they don’t look fertile and I’m wondering if after this, I should separate them again right now she’s not letting me remove him out of her cage.
If you can separate and place side by side it may help.

How long do i leave the eggs for will she eventually stop laying on the eggs they are nonfertile since she dont have a mate
Hi, they usually lay on them for 3 weeks, however she may lay on for a month. After a month take away an egg a day until they are all gone.

I have 2 female budgies in the same cage and was wondering if they will lay eggs. They will devour a cuttlebone or mineral block. So far no eggs and I hope they don't. Thank you Donna
