I miss the days when "ISIS" only referred to the greatest band in the world.

+davethehostage right? now its all that isis bull shit over in the middle east...I feel weird wearing my isis shirts and hoodies now that those fucktards ruined the name isis. anyone else run into this situation? feeling like you shouldn't wear isis clothes cuz of the terrorist group

      +caelumborn Fuck 'em.
If people are frightened into cowering away and abandoning their own peaceful freedom of expression, then those pricks have already won.
I wore one of my ISIS shirts while changing planes at Dubai airport last year. Got a LOT of hostile stares, but I wasn't doing anything wrong so I wasn't concerned.
      Fuck 'em.

Yup I get the same shit. It doesn't help that I have a beard. Haha. I get not letting them win and wearing the shirt with pride, but I'm not a fucking idiot. People are getting blown up and beheaded here.
If anything, this is more reason to fucking hate those terrorist fuckers.

I can't even count the amount of times I almost drove off the road listening to Isis records. Their sense of dynamics is beyond reproach.

I'm glad the various members of Isis went on to make more great music, like Palms, Old Man Gloom, Sumac...it sort of fills the void in my heart.

kquixotic Nah, Old Man Gloom and Sumac are black/sludge/experimental - unlistenable, Palms are great but have too simple music (only two riffs per song) and dominated by Moreno which vocal's I don't like. Mamiffer however is spot on but its totally different music. Red Sparowes was great but they are now on hiatus. What's left in the spirit of isis band is only Mike Gallagher's Mustard Gas and Roses which is really good, but still the band is very missed and they could have come up with many more awesome music, it's a pity they disbanded

Old Man Gloom and Sumac are not unlistenable, they rule.

My friend bought Aaron's black Tele that he had utilized on much of the Isis material... needless to say, Ralph Biggenballs is creating quite the collection of instruments and equipment... nice work my friend...

Nice interview brother and your words on the Taken show were expressed very well. I figure we shared about 15 and up Isis shows around Southern California. One really neat one was the show they did in downtown LA with MOCA. Just a brilliant setting and a real treat. Thank you.
