The problem with Social Security is that politicians are able to get there stcky, thieving, corrupt fingers on it. It was originally supposed to be set aside and not used for anything else.

Wars, wars, and more wars. That’s the main reason US spending is out of control. Number 1 reason Switzerland has the most billionaires is…they don’t go to war. They have low taxes. Their people are happy because their country takes care of them.

You are right that the USA has taken on the debt of protecting the seas and stabilizing the globe. The one thing the last two presidents have agreed on is: ending globalization.

Loyalty programs. Reminds me when I had to take a job with an office supplier during the financial crisis to pay the bills. They would entice small business "buyers" with promotional items to snag sales. Boxes of cookies, small electronics items (ear buds)... The hitch of course was the box of paper, toner, etc was sold at full freight. A lotta trouble this caused for office admins. The company was banned by some 😂.

The problem with Walmart is the quality varies wildly depending on the location, especially with meat and produce. I've been in some that had better quality than the best grocery stores in my area, and in others where I wouldn't feed the meat to my cat.

It's probably going to be easier to work while you're younger 65 to 80 than it will using up all your funds and then having to go back to work at 80 to supplement your SSI. ......speaking for us that failed to get an early start on saving or investing.

They've already done the math, you can take all of the money from the ultra wealthy and leave them with absolutely nothing, zero and the billions that you take from them won't fund the government for more than 2 years, so taxing them more on that amount isn't going to solve the problem either. The government needs the same budget that we have, if you don't have it, you don't spend it. Instead, they continue to spend out of control and kick the can down the road as to when it will eventually be paid for. All they care about is staying in their job today and if that means giving away free stuff, that's what they'll do.

As far as retiring at 70 goes, perhaps you may want to hire an independent actuarial firm to get their opinion on how long you will live. Something to add to the decision making process.

If the federal government would stop borrowing from the social security system, then there would be sufficient funds to continue paying out to the people who have contributed to it over the years.

You take SS at 62 because you need to look at the statistics... By the age of 76 the majority of older adults will have a debilitating disease or on their way into a nursing home. There is only a VERY small portion of the population that will have the longevity to have waiting be worthwhile to fully enjoy the extra money, which, BTW, if you add it all up is not life-changing in any way.

    - There are two kinds of recirculating water systems. One (maybe both) does not store hot water in your pipes. Also, both are timer adjusted so you wake up with hot water. Then when back in evening, you have it again. But at night and when out, it is off. Technology saves money, not dumb letters to you!
    - I like Apple BECAUSE it just works and is safe and sandboxed which is GOOD! But I am no Apple fanboy and they do UI and UX stuff that drives me crazy. Clark, if you need more dangerous junk tech, I mean variety, just use ANDROID! That IS the free market! Going after a company that makes an alternative to the deadly jungle you prefer, is not free market cool at all! BTW: People are sick of tech whining about Apple. The happy rest of us want you and the DOJ to wake up and leave us alone. It is like insisting that all car brand parts - engines, hvac, door handles - should be interchangeable! Last time I checked, that is either a monopoly or Communism.

Because of Biden or because of voters that vote for this extremely old man? Clark needs to run for office and quit hiding behind this notion he has that he is too old. He is younger than Biden or Trump and if elected could get voters behind his agenda. In my opinion he doesn’t want the hassle and is hiding behind the age thing. Step up Clark!!
