Man you next level a guy like you showed me I was never any good. I thought I was good until I met him a I end up quitting the piano cause you guys be making them keys sing!! I like watching you guys and hearing you play. I will definitely subscribe and you right about theory any Joe can play, but takes a master to tell me what it is you’re playing what key is it inverted is it major is it minor? And explaining in great detail! Man people this is Gold what he’s doing here!! You guys don’t even know!
Man I wish I could play, it's truly a gift from GOD that many take lightly. I love to hear those who can really make the piano sing and come to life! Wonderful!
Great stuff man, Cheers!...Awesome playing and ears too! Eddie Brown is a Giant and the sweetest guy!...I got to play a little gig with him a few moons back and hang for a bit...such a musical force!!
Um Sean, for the part, "I am going to put on my robes" Eddie's voicing was slightly different from yours. I understand you mentioned in some of the other breakdown videos (I think the Mike Bereal's more than anything) that we should not try to voice it exactly like they do but we can "carve out our own sound from their play" and that the most important thing is to understand the concept behind the chord movement. However, not getting the actual chords Eddie played makes understanding his approach to the song difficult due to the fact that his voicing of that line is different from yours and hence it becomes Sean's understanding or interpretation of Eddie's approach to the song rather than understanding the song through Eddie's eyes . I hope you understand the point I am trying to make.
I do, however in a reaction vid where you’d have to make a quick on the spot decision (say you’re in setting that doesn’t allow for deep analysis) then you are going for a best guess. That’s the difference between my reaction vids and my normal teaching ones
Eddie is a favorite of mines.
This was amazing especially that part when you said “what did I get myself into” 😂😂😂😂😂…you’re amazing Sean! You’re helping us!
😂 thanks Tameka!

There’s cords styles are from the great late Thomas Whitfield who paved the way for contemporary style cords in gospel..

You didn’t give your thoughts on Eddie Brown.
Not sure I understand....
Sean Wilson Piano I was expecting some kind of moment where you would talk about his approach, his playing, or something.
@@earlem9771 the reaction videos are more of me doing an impromptu video to his playing, but I mentioned his playing all through the vid tho

Starting from 13:20. You will notice Eddie's voicing of that line, "I am going to put on my robes...."

Reaction video!!! Thanks sean! Guess people dont no what reaction meens!
Sean's approach is awesome too...
Hahaha, maybe I am used to him teaching rather than him reacting to videos. Never paid attention to the caption of the video.
Bro u play super good but u need to actually teach the song chords by chord step by step stop rushing
