Always remove the top filler nut first (in case the nut is unable to be shifted because of rounding or damaged) before removing the bottom drain nut

This should have been pinned. Most important comment of the video. No good draining the fluid if you don't know if you can fill it.

For 1KD 3 ltr engines with MANUAL gearbox -
    Tranny : 2.2 litres (75w90 - GL4)
    Transfer Case : 1.4 litres (75W90 - GL5)
    Diffs :
    Front diff - 1.45 litres
    Rear Diff - 3.35 litres
Oil Grade is 80w90 and Oil Type is GL5. GL5 is very important. The main difference between GL-4 and GL-5 gear oils is in the level of extreme-pressure (EP) additives which are tough on gaskets and yellow metals. They are not interchangeable.
Transmission Drain Plug Gasket Part Number - 12157-10010.

Great video, thanks. I called to a parts shop and they sold me 75/90 oil for back and front diff oil (2011, Hilux, 2.5 D4D, manual). Main dealer advised 75/85 some days later while getting other parts. Is it okay to use the 75/90 I got? Owners manual says 75/90 too!

Hey there, great video, very clear and self-explanatory. Thank you!
One question though, are you sure that the gearbox capacity is 3.3L (mentioned at 8:44)? From all the manuals and specs online as well as my owners manual it says 2.2L for the 4x4 manual gearbox
Just wanted to check before I go under and start with the oil change on my 2008 4x4 rig...

Have to say I’ve double checked and auto data is saying 2.2L! I’m not sure where I got that from , the the rear diff for limited slip diff lists 3.2l , I may have read the wrong listing! I’ll try edit this .. thanks for letting me know!
