Now that Neil is gone I'm going through all of these video interviews, documentaries and concert footage and find myself tearing up at the humanity, humour and musicianship these guys display. I'm so grateful for all the music and dedication they showed....and sad for the fact that we'll never see the three of them together again. But the great thing about it is they gave us a tremendous musical legacy....you can always listen to your favourite and be transported to a time and place.

Just found this little gem. Geddy seems like a person who would be a valued and loved friend..even if he wasn't one of the most amazing musicians on earth. I've had a few close friends and even a best friend or two. I'm not too proud to say that I wish I could count him among my friends. What a class act. The world is a little better with geddy in it. What a wonderful quality to bring to our world.

Any interview I see with Geddy makes me realize what a down to earth humble human being he is. Knowing now what him and Alex knew it really is a great example of the stand up guys they where to keep that under there hat out of respect for Neils wishes. They where constantly asked about a reunion or whats going on with Neil and the have always been classy and respectful. With the passing of Neil and the out pouring of heartbreak I will never overlook what Geddy and Alex mean to me and be so thankful they are still here. I have never been more proud to be a rush fan then I am today.

I started playing drums 20 years ago when i was 11 and my friend next door already had an electric guitar for his birthday, so i asked for a drum set for christmas. 20 years and still going strong playing drums, just picked up bass guitar about 3 weeks ago. He doesn’t appear to be a man of many words but all the same very kind. In the airport I was a total nerd and forgot that I was a 43 year old adult and ex pro football player (54 now) and ran up to him and I wonder if he thought, “Damn who’s this big black dude running at me right now??” 🤣🤣🤣 I just VERY nervously and nerdily said like a dork, “Thank you for creating such great music!” He graciously bowed his head and said, “your welcome sir.” Big deal to me but something I’m sure after meeting a gajillion people around the world he probably doesn’t remember. Ah the Traynor 2 X 15 with the 100 watt head was a beast. It could also be used as an exercise system.

I bought the book even though I’m not a bassist. This probably sounds stupid and unrelated, but since Neil passed, I haven’t felt like I should open Geddy’s book; it’s still in the wrap. It’s like, “well, Neil is gone, Rush is gone, and now I have a little piece of Rush that I can protect from change” which is ironic since Neil wrote a lot about change.

    FOR NEIL...
If you could make any RUSH ALBUM INTO A FULL LENGTH ROCK OPERA FEATURE FILM which would you choose? Would you create a montage using material from different albums? Which ones? How would it play out? What actors/musicians would you like to see in it?

I was hoping that after Rush retired in 2015, they would produce a movie of Clockwork Angels. I read Kevin J Anderson's book Clockwork Angels, which was a collaboration with Neil, and it would make a great basis for a movie script. I unavoidably pictured Neil playing the role of The Clockmaker. If you haven't read Anderson's book, I strongly recommend it. It adds more details to the Rush album. And there are tidbits of Neil's lyrics buried in the text. (I sometimes had to stop reading it, because something kept getting in my eye.)

They all did, and in retrospect, it was for the best. Another example of how Rush has been a class act.
