Vanilla Sugar Cookies

VANILLA SUGAR COOKIES
1/2 cup and 2 tablespoon sifted flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg, beaten
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
Cream shortening, sugar, eggs and beat. Stir in vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to egg mixture, blend. Drop from teaspoon full on to a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
