Thank you this is very straight forward and helpful!
Thank you for your great video
thanks, this is really useful and simple ❤
Thank you for your video.
which switch get elected as Active ?
Hello! Thanks for the video. One question: Why did interfaces HunderGigEth1/0/50 failed to be a member of the stackwise virtual link? I noticed that the speed of the interface did not match the speed of the interface on SVL 1. What went wrong with that? Thank you in advance!
what are the errors in the show log output? did you follow the instructions from my configs?
@@certsdontmatter that error is on your video when you configured the SVL link on ports 49 and 50 on both devices
@@FilofoBika his errors r different...the error u see in my video, i left out "range"...u see me correct it in the video...
@@certsdontmatter After you issue the SVL command we can see that "The speed o f the interface does not match the speed of the interfaces on SVL link 1" after the warnings (both switches)
@@FilofoBika ahhh, i remember...i need to update this. Its a cisco bug. The error doesnt pop up if you upgrade to: 16.12.4...thanks @FilofoBika
Thanks
Hello! Got a question to ask. We also have two 9500 and plan to deploy in a StackWise virtual. My questions to you, how many physical cables are needed to connect? I plan to use the last two 100G interfaces. But I also noticed that you configured DAD interfaces, does that mean I need to connect another cable on another interfaces? Hope that makes sense. Just trying to visualize it, the physical layer. Thanks
yeah makes sense...u can use one of the sfp ports for dad or another hun interface...cisco should allow the use of the mgmt port to be used as the dad like the nexus switches.
let me know if you have anymore questions
@@certsdontmatter cool thank you!!
@@certsdontmatter how come at the end when you did a show stackwise-virtual link it only showed interface 49? I thought you had added 49 & 50 from both switches to SVL1?
@@bigkeoni6429 yeah, it was a bug in the code...it did go away when i upgraded to 16.12.4...ill update the video when i get time.
@@certsdontmatter Hi, what is the DAD used for?
Hi, Will DAC/AOC cables both work for SVL/DAD links, or only SFP transceiver
yeah, they will.
Thanks of your video , my question is can a 1G SFP module on the C9500-48Y4C switch to the C2960-X access switches? answer me
answer me, please....
yes to your question
@@certsdontmatter ok please. I m speak french. I say if C9500-48Y4C supported 1G SFP?
@@modibosissoko634 yes, its supported
@@certsdontmatter Thank you
Hello, how to set up the priority of switch? "switch 1 priority 15" seems not work
do the command on the enable prompt, not config t...
I should plug the cable before configuring or after configuring?
@@hiuli9174 doesn't matter... either way is fine...u will need to reboot after
@@certsdontmatter Thank you ^^
What does that priority do and is highest more favorable for switch 1? I don't see anywhere in the documentation what the priority is for?
i have a question, Virtual stackwise Configured on cisco 9500 as per Cisco documentation. no errors occurred. I see, after reloading it, searching other chassis in bootup. Results show only its own stackwise virtual link interface.it didnt sync with other switch. can any one resolve my issue
email me the configs certsdontmatter@gmail dot com
Before configuring stackwise virtual in Cisco 9500 switch , I have connected cables in both switches but port not coming up, executed no shutdown also could you please help on this
what are u using a DAC or transceiver to connect b/w the devices? if transceivers, u might have the wrong fiber type to transceiver....
@@certsdontmatter using transceiver and connected with Lc-Lc yellow patch cable
@@networkingmadurai8007 if its not coming up, u have a layer 1 issue...what do the logs say?...send me the logs at certsdontmatter@gmail.com
