- "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller is detailing her treatment behind bars in her first interview since getting out. "I have already been through the ringer," she told Inside Edition. The reality TV star, who now uses a wheelchair after cancer ravaged her spine, served eight months at a federal prison in California for bankruptcy fraud. "The first day was the worst day for me," she told Jim Moret. "They tried to rip my eyelashes off that were extensions.” #InsideEdition

@Late Nights In The City I mean anyone could get this but normally in interviews or the director or producer would normally tell the subject "can you walk down this street passing infront of the camera", "look out the window for this shot", "can you stare into the camera menacingly." Just so when they edit the footage, it comes out like this one. However in a way, abbys just looks so awkward and out of place.

Brittany Curtis yeah I’ve been to jail before and watched this woman have a seizure because they didn’t give her her medication. It wasn’t a narcotic, either. They just wouldn’t do it. They don’t care. The COs just stared at her having a seizure and didn’t get help. I don’t get it
Eat more gluten I watched the reality series about jail once and people were pretending to take their medication and selling to users. It was really sad
They DID give her the medication, she just couldn't keep it in her cell. She lied.
I don’t agree with her teaching styles and I don’t like the fact that she yells at her students but I don’t wish cancer on any human being.
Miss Julia Ellen i feel like part of the yelling might be her personality but part of it is probably because the producers and cameramen egged her on and stressed her out.

I’ve met Abby in real life. She’s a very nice person. She let me into the studio and took pictures with me for a half hour just because I knocked on the window of the studio wearing an Aldc jacket I bought online. The producers want her to yell on the show to make it interesting for people to watch it. She’s actually a really nice person. I also have the pictures of me and her to prove it

Girly Gamer998 no it doesn’t it just makes HER the center of attention. She a total narcissist. Dance teachers have said she’s awful. I was coached at WOGA and my coaches never yelled just encouraged. I didn’t want disappoint them or myself so that is what makes you better and try harder.
She doesnt deserve a show and she deserved more prison time... but shes talking about prisons suffering abuse. Thats a real issue. She has a platform I hope she talks more about the abuse prisoners suffer while locked up inside!!

I’m a HUGE dance moms fan. I didn’t always agree with Abby or her tactics in how she treated the children. But she is a strong, honest woman. She fought cancer. She got on these talk shows and spoke her heart. She’s stronger than she gets credit for. I hope she’s ok. Cancer & prison mixed together is someone I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy

I don’t think anyone deserves cancer. That being said I think that there is a lesson to be learned. There’s several studies that show that mental health translates directly into physical health. Whether her being mean on the show was real or not all that stress, “fake” or real anger and general mental instability in a high strung environment due to the show took a toll on her body. I’m very happy she made it through the cancer and hope she continues with a new outlook on life.
