Lmaoooo. The story mode side quests are absolutely infuriating man i feel ya. They should have just added a timer to show you youve failed the secondary objective, and make retrying faster. I can remember in order to restart most missions to try again involved backing out to the main map, selecting the mission again, having it load and then skip thru all the BS slideshow cutscenes every single time. Just to fail because you lost a bar of health or weren't able to beat an invisible timer. You have to MEGA cheese these objectives, just fly high up in the sky and go sparking mode over and over, it isn't fun, and it's really dumb. Fyi Dragonball wishes allow you to lower difficulty on some missions and still be able to get the 2nd objective but they take a long time to find so I didn't personally go that route. And just wait til you try the bonus battle where youre vegeta and you have to chip beerus health down to a certain point every 20 seconds or he insta kills you..it's maddening.
Yeah I might go back to the game at some point but it's going to be a long while and hopefully they devs fix the problems. The time it takes to reload the levels isn't necessarily a problem to me personally, but it's just the fact that the fights genuinely are impossible. Like the Freiza one against Piccolo for his. I had Freiza down to his final health bar before he transformed and then within a very short amount of time had him down to 2 health bars again, but as soon as I got him down to his last health bar (which was shortly after getting him down to 2) it ended. Every. Single. Time. And the fact that the AI wins every single clash you get into isn't fun either. Because that takes up a lot of time also or lowers your health or whatever it is. Or the fact they can guard from behind but if you're getting hit from behind good luck. Idr if it was on screen or not but I genuinely had a 37 hit combo done to be all from behind and there was nothing I could do about it. It's annoying cuz it's such an amazing game and it's been being asked to be made for over a decade and it's absolutely pathetic and a disgrace to the series. I really hope the devs fix some things cuz there's no point in adding all the new content when it's impossible to unlock it
@TheAidinator25 If you're getting hit from behind just mash up+X (up+ square on ps5 I think) once per second or so and eventually you'll get a super counter, it's the only way to stop combos from behind unless you have explosive wave skill. You can learn the timing for super counters but it's very difficult, mashing slowly works more consistently lol. Training mode is ur best friend in this game, I came from playing none of the tenkaichi games and got to the point where the cpu in sparking was way to easy. That being said in the newest update they definitely updated the cpu and made them much more competent, duno if that correlates to campaign mode but I'd assume it does. For those mashing clashes the initial button press you have to time is really important, hit that before you need to start mashing and the cpu will lose every time. Keep playing practice mode man! Set the cpu to do what it is you're struggling with and turn Urs and their health to max and just practice over and over. When you learn how to counter, use perception and create distance to go sparking mode the CPU isn't challenging anymore, it just takes patience. You'll eventually get to the point where going sparking just makes it to easy.
I probly should try the training mode a little bit honestly cuz I haven't at all. I just assumed things would be roughly the same as the games back in the day so I wouldn't need it. I'm also not claiming to be a god tier gamer and the AI is just on bs either cuz I'm far from that lol. But even with that being said, the average gamer (such as myself) should be able to complete everything in the game that was produced. I'm not expecting a cake walk obviously and don't necessarily want that but I want to PLAY the game. Cuz I'm sure in some fights that I have had on screen you can hear me mashing buttons through my mic and nothing is happening, or I lose teleport clashes or what have you and it's like what's the point. Or when I was fighting 19 with Piccolo. I was absolutely waxing him until be got down to 2 health bars, then somehow he becomes a god and starts beating my ass and I can't do anything about it. Like that's not fun either. But the devs should be updating it to make the AI more competent as in a worthy fight, not an impossible challenge. Especially when trying to unlock the extra story stuff on the what ifs that was an ignorant decision for them to do imo. I might give the training mode a shot tho and see if I can get the timing a bit better and hope that works, I'm just gonna leave the game to sit for a lil bit tho til I calm down with it, don't wanna break my controller like I almost did the other day recording this vid 😂 appreciate the tips! :)
@@TheAidinator25 Lol no worries yah maybe a break from it would help, and if you have time over the holidays jump into training with a cpu. Or even the piccolo training where he teaches you all the mechanics of the game cause perception and super counters are suuuuuuper important! Cheers!

Definitely will have to give that a shot once I cool down from the game lol. Cheers!
