This is my biggest annoyance. FFS i understand they want us to kill in the different zones and all but the base system already lets us streamline it as much as we can. Level downs is just a bigger annoyance when gaining level has diminishing returns but level downs hurt astronomically hard

Personally I think the guiding lands is a good idea... hunting monsters over and over without a loading screen is awesome. The problem is that there are too many different rewards you need for augmenting...there are the regular monsters parts and also tempered versions of the same parts and on top of that it's mostly rng what monsters come out and lures you get. In my opinion, all Monsters in the guiding lands should be tempered and always have tracks to analyze...it would cut the time down substantially and make your time there feel more rewarding... cause deco farming feels more rewarding at the moment :(
It's not too bad because at the end of the day, Decoration farming still comes mainly from high-tier investigations and for sure some of these are in Hoarfrost reach. People are flocking in the guiding lands now because the game is new, but once everyone has their augments done, they will naturally progress to Threat Level 2-3 investigations.
Bonus bonus tip: always use and proc fortify twice. Have two loadouts, one with no armor with fortify gem on weapon or charm, and your main loudout also with fortify. Go with no armor and no meals, kill yourself by any monster. Start timer for 50 minutes as that's how long fort will last. Grab slinger ammo and 2 mega barrel bombs, explode them one at a time using slinger ammo. After second faint, switch to your armored loadout previously mentioned, and go eat. You will now have 20% more attack, and 30% more Defense for the 50 minute time period. This will make hunting any monster much faster and easier.
The biggest problem i have with this is that rng based spawning and luring. You should be able to have all areas maxed out at lvl 7 and not need so many different part variations to augment your equipment. Other than that the endless hunt and no load screen is brilliant.
do. it. solo. Doing it solo and farming bonepiles and mining outcrops is soooo much faster, I just go guiding lands in group to kill some monsters, not to lvl it UP, the mining outcrops and bones respawn suuuper fast and u can Just keep farming them and killing The monster that appears in that area
Cheese31V X same, I would just make a docile monster to follow too, It’s so fast like I’ve unlock yian garuga within 2 hrs of doing this. Im currently grinding for yian garuga to spawn to get my GS to have affinity augment.
Yup. High level bonepiles/outcrops can give 700 research points per rare material (equivalent to 28 traps) and if you are lucky you can get multiple from a single spot. I would skip killing monsters - especially if it leaves a lot of tracks - gather them instead (tempered tracks will also give you investigations for deco farming). I would only kill a monster if I know it has materials I need(i.e. tempered odo for r10 health augment) or, perhaps for completeness sake, to unlock materials from a new monster.
Here's how you avoid that with the real tip: *Don't sweat it.* Prior to getting high MR you don't even need to worry about grinding Zone levels because of the restrictive caps anyway, so when you first enter the Guiding Lands you can just mindlessly kill everything and you should probably keep doing that for a while. Then once the caps are higher, do some individual Zone progress to unlock the new monster fights. After all that, then you can probably pick two zones to maintain at high levels. If you really don't want to spend much time in the Guiding Lands, after you're done with that you could just check the Guiding Lands after every Quest/Expedition to see if there's anything you want to hunt. Getting Zones to Level 7 isn't even *that* important. Tempered Velkhana is a pretty big deal if you're using Rarity 11 weapons but Ruiner Nergi has a chance to spawn post-Level 5 and the other valuable monsters like Silverlos have a chance to spawn after level 6, so if you lose Level 7, don't think this means the end of the world, it just means you can't get Tempered Elders from that zone til you get it back to 7.
...It's Monster Hunter? It's less grinding and RNG than Tempered Investigations were. You actually KNOW what rewards you will get when you fight X monster. Another thing to remember is that the Guiding Lands stuff isn't actually *that* important TBH. Custom Upgrades are not that much of a boost. Augmentations are great but a single Health Regen augmentation is honestly not all that difficult to make, and the Extra Slots aren't *that* much of a bonus either, especially for stuff like Rarity 12 weapons where it's only a boost from 3 slots to 4 slots. If you find yourself with enthusiam killed, maybe you're playing for the wrong reasons? I don't mean to be rude, but once I hit postgame, I know (and WANT) the most optimal build possible to be a good few hundred hours away so I can enjoy the journey hunting the hardest monsters there are. Unless you are a speedrunner or something, there is nobody telling you to get an optimal setup NOW NOW NOW. You have until October til Rajang drops (who will, like Jho, probably just be on the level of other monsters) and until December when a new mystery monster which *might* be a serious endgame threat warranting a endgame build. Relax.
@@fussel676 Then what the fuck are you gonna do apart from having some fun or even hunting marathons in the guiding lands. I mean, there is nothing left.
@DarthVaderReviews This guy knows how to have fun with a game. The whole point is to just fight and have fun doing it and if there's a lot of grinding, look at it as a long period where you're still getting new stuff.
Not sure how many people know this but if you get yourself to a point where you can fight Tempered Radobaan mining him will always give you a lure for monsters from a small list (I've seen Tigrex, Great Girros and Odogaron) so fight him and mine him as often as you can for lures. From my experience Odogaron is the best lure, especially if you're focusing on the Coral and Rotted regions as he lets you maintain both regions fairly easily.

Hey the gameconomist did you know that wearing full geology decos will allow you to pick up twice as many shinies? This maybe common knowledge don't know yet
Another quick way to level is to seek out or lure out Wyverns that have a high number of parts to break (Radobaan, Barroth, Odagaron) adding points up quickly. Also, Geology and Partbreaker skills are highly suggested.
So, getting multiple areas to level 7 seems to be quite impossible. So in order to get the most out of farming you should make sure to fight every monster in a region and get all their Guiding Lands materials (non tempered and tempered) before starting to grind a different area. At least one of each. So you will be able to meld all the items at the Melder.
You just do investigations for these monsters. You can fight metal raths at MR 125 from optional quest, just gather the tracks and level up your research to level two at least and then go gather tracks in the elder recess and you will get plenty of metal rath investigations.
@RiKk You can just do tempered investigations for decorations or you can do the events that raise MR. Look in the event list there are events that give a lot of exp. I would recommend just doing tempered investigations since you need the decorations any way and the exp is pretty good. But the fastest way are the events. Or you can do the capture exploit with a friend in the guiding lands and raise MR super fast that way.
@@Plusimurfriend I think you do need some materials from the guiding lands to craft armour like bones but they are quite easy to get anyway. Yeah when the research level reaches 2 on silver rathalos you can go to the elders recess and follow brachydios gathering his tracks and you will get lots of silver rathalos investigations
@@Plusimurfriend You still need the bones from the Guiding Lands for the Silver Sol set. Same for the Golden Lune, Scarred Yian and Brute Tigrex set. Plus you'll need to do guiding lands mats anyway for augments and charm upgrades. Better to kill 2 birds with one stone. If you were to farm investigation to MR125, you'd need to grind to LVL6 to get Tempered Elder Dragons to spawn for their mats, so it'll take a long time if you were to ignore Guiding Lands.
I'd like to say something about this one, it's a really well made video. And you are very patient with your viewers. This feels like a nice relaxing way to ease into the situation.
Copy and pasting this everywhere so forgive me if I'm giving information you already put kind one. 😀 Use the geology charm or get geology maxed!! Not only do you get 5 bonebiles instead of 3 and 4 mining instead of 3, you also get 2 pickups from each shiny drop on the ground. So you get double rewards. Everytime the monster drops an item when you pick it up it wont disappear and you can pick it up again!!! I've used it on everything but tempered but I haven't killed them yet in guiding lands cause I've been farming small mats. It doesnt work on jagras weirdly enough but every other monster. It doesn't let you get 2 mining/bonebiles out of big outcrops though! GO FARM THEM MATS!! 😀 Edit: Doesn't work with puki either.
If your gunning for ruiner nergigante. The site tells you that all you have to do is have all the regions add up to 12. Doesn't matter what the levels are or the different regions are as long as you add them all up to 12 you get nergigante.
The trap spamming is awesome for fast zone leveling. I was able to get wildspire area from level 1 to level 6 in 30 minutes to unlock the gold rathian and coral to unlock silver rathalos in 30 minutes as well. Do keep in mind the other areas level down quite fast using this method but you can get the monsters you want by doing this. I’m sure this will be patch out along with the capture exploit. They’ll probably make guiding land monsters inmune to traps after 2 or 3 uses to prevent people from maxing out areas so fast.
A few interesting bits to mention, hopefully this helps someone. 1. For wildspire only, I found that shooting puddle pods to clean off a barroth can yield some quick easy points if it spawns while you're hunting something else. One set should do it if you're aiming carefully. 2. I have no idea how this happened, but I was fighting a tempered diablos in the guiding lands (Wildspire was level 5, and that was my cap) and I got an investigation for a scarred yian garuga. I'm not sure how, but this could help somebody unlock annoying monsters more easily.
I'm not sure how, but I do have an investigation for a Scarred Yian Garuga and my Wilspire region is at lvl 4 atm, with the cap at lvl 5... I'm not gonna complain tho, I'll just to the investigation and cap the monster to get the optional quest and GG
I'd recommend defeating, or at least collecting the dropped parts of every monster and their tempered versions at least once because this will unlock their parts for melding at the elder melder. Which means if you need a specific monster part you won't need to wait around for that monster to show up again, you can just throw whatever you've got into the melder and get the materials you need easily. This also means you can just into someone with a higher level area than you and meld farmed parts from your area into theirs. I haven't done much testing on what can be used as materials so I'm assuming most stuff can be ground down into other stuff of a similar rarity.
I've played the base game, I'm happy. Bought the IB expansion, never have I imagine that I would have so much anger for a game I love. Grinding lands was made to extend the life of the game which is nice. It was executed poorly. A game I payed for felt like a free to play game in terms of grinding for the endgame.
Hey here’s a pretty good tip for hunting the monster you want in the guiding lands and it doesn’t take a giant video to learn. FARM FOR TRACKS. Once you get your monster that you want, pick up every single track, you can get investigations and then you don’t have to work with the guiding lands. This really only works once you’ve uncovered the monster sure, and doesn’t address the other things about the guiding lands. But it is probably the best way to ensure you can farm the monster you are working on
Tech Romancer if you ever wore the assassin mantle all u had to do was do a aerial attack for a full knockdown at the monster nobody knew that It was actually useful
Two ideas based on speculation: *Why not use Lures to continuously spawn in monsters like Barroth or Radobaan that are well-known for having a crapton of breakable parts?* Second, if the Guiding Lands gathering materials that grant Research Points do indeed grant proportional zone exp, why are we even talking about all this? If all you want is zone exp it seems to me like the absolute fastest way to earn it is just gathering and snagging whatever tracks happen to be there and repeating continously, stopping for a hunt if a monster spawns whose parts you need.
It's better than KT. At least you can unlock new monsters, earn rewards and take your time with it. Theres not a pool of weapons tied to it either. Plus, that one place is huge
To be honest, I saw significant growth in my guiding lands when I ran in the first time. I spent maybe three hours there, and farmed out from lvl 1 in all areas, to lvl 2 in the waste, the coral highlands, and the rotten vale areas. I ran Kirin Beta Helm, Chest, and Waist and Black Belt Beta Gloves and Boots. Slotted in for full blight res, some survival skills and max geologist. Had trap tools so I didn't have to restock so frequently, and solo captured like, every monster I found. One session got me to zinogre, caught him, and got the research levels up for Brute and Bird wyvern hunts. Gonna finish those next time I play.
Willy Lopez well I mean I can see why the story was fun to play through, my first experience with the guiding lands was “Oh cool........now what do I do next?”
For newer players who don't have many parashrooms and just wanna build up healing potions more. Here's my tips - Get Flash Bug cages for your cat or whatever. He not only randomly traps shit on his own but also you can tell him to do it again after he did it on his own. - Bandit mantle and vouchers to make extra money so you can just buy like 1000x potions or something and not waste a slot for herbs in the cultivation thing. Only for honey to make Mega's. They're fairly cheap and unless you're constantly chugging in fights, they should last long. Especially if you restock a consistent although not so money draining amount. - If you got the research points, and if you're new by time you reach the Guiding Lands you'll have at least 10-30k you can just farm a lot of ores/bones/jagras/barioths and use the stuff you get from them to get a bunch of traps from the Elder Melder. 👌
You can change monster waaaaaay faster by asking the cat in the training area to change objects in the area, and when you go in your map you will see it has changed monsters in every land (even GL), and you saved something like 3 or 4 minutes of loading screen!
GC my man, I told you about that spreadsheet 2 days prior you reading that guy's comment about having posted it on your discord, it's just that you didn't see my message unfortunately. Well at least now you are also benefitting from the lists, so I guess my goal was achieved ;)
I honestly found it to be a good thing to gather for a minute to make the traps on site while my team randoms or not keep fighting since everything is so close together in the guiding lands I only need to bring the trap tools
All I care about is making a guard 5 charm..I dont care about the weapons or armor and this endgame is so damn lazy on capcom's part and I wont be putting 2k hours in this
Thank you, Gameconomist, great tips! Especially the legit way to rotate monsters in Guiding Lands (at least it does look legit to me, hopefully no patches!)
@@LordShonji It's not DCing though. It's cycling through legitimate loading times between 2 different expeditions. If THIS small degree of influence of your initial pickings in Guiding Lands is considered exploitation, then I'm kinda disappointed to be honest.
Yeah if anyone wants to level up coral area fast flash raptor (tizi yaku or whatever) levels an absolutely obscene amount of tracks you can level up like nearly a full bar with just track farming from him alone
Yea. Doing it solo and farming bonepiles and mining outcrops is soooo much faster, I Just go guiding lands in group to kill a monster, not to lvl it Up
The single fastest way to level up GL is to find a monster like banbaro (non aggressive) and follow him to gather all his tracks, never attack him. A level should take approx 15min. Not a big fan of recommending to exploit a bug as your main 'tip', I mean the game is not about reaching MR 100, its about hunting monsters. If you don't enjoy hunting monsters in the guiding lands maybe just stop instead of exploiting your way to MR 100 ? Mr goes up very quickly if you just play and don't focus on it.
Also I want to add something. It's possible to get a lure of the rare monster even if your region level isn't that high. I once got a Silver Rathalos lure from killing Tempered Velkhana in my lv7 desert area. My Coral region is only lv2 and I never fought Silos before, not even from another person's SOS
From my testing leveling 3 zones so far, where a monster you fight CAN spawn will affect where your research goes at later levels too. Zinogre? Fought him and leveled forest and coral. Pukei? Wastes and forest. If you want to level a specific zone, look for monsters unique to that zone. Sadly this makes monsters like Jho give nothing towards leveling zones in the end unless all of your zones are low level. Found this out after killing 3 of him and getting no progress towards 7 in the veil.
They should make it where once we reach level 7 (max level) we can choose what level that region has. That way what monsters appear are still random to a degree but it stops us grinding a bunch of shif we dont need just to lose progress we've already earned in order to progress another area
Anyone watching this recently the devs changed how the GL works, it's much quicker and more player friendly now. Try to look for a video on the GL that was made about 3 years ago.
I have a stupid advice if you don’t wanna grind from level to level Just go with a friend that has the level for that region you wanna Level at 1 or 2 and just let him level that region You go in his Guiding lands you will get the same exp for levelling his GL from level 1 even if your own GL is for example on level 5 It allows you to reach 7 easily
After I took out nerg for MR 100. I helped a lower friend out who had just gotten to guided lands and just from a few ancient forest kills and me showing him the laps for gathering my forest hit 7 in about 2-3 hours. I don’t know if helping lower MRs helps get you more cause now my buddies who I play with at the same level are struggling to level up areas.
Chandrashakar Kuldeep I keep telling people when u play with people u level up faster I solo one area took me a whole day to level up that shot to 5 to 6. 😑
Chandrashakar Kuldeep I think so too that’s how it was in order Monster hunter games because in world I was soloing everything now in iceborne 70% of the time I’m in a group it’s much faster to kill a monster. Until I have a quest that say one death I’ll do it myself. Lol.
Bowlcuts SOS into other people’s guiding lands. I swear helping other people fight monsters from lvl3-5 regions was giving me a whole level for every monster. Try to fight every monster once as well.
Bowlcuts u don’t need to be MR 150 to fight tempered elder dragons u got level up the guiding lands area to level 7. So I think level 100 u will be able. And the fastest way to level up is the guiding lands and kill everything. Lol. Don’t do solo its faster with players and bring lots of traps I’m MR 140 by doing this.
You forgot to add the low MR SoS trick to level up an area. Basically find a level 24 SoS with a lvl 1 area you want to raise. enter it. see if there's a monster in the area you want. (if people were killing that monster, kill it). (but if people were not killing that monster, then connect/disconect your internet connection, then kill it on your solo session). This tricks the game to scale the xp gain for that area with an mr24 lvl 1 area. just by killing 1 monster in the same area you can get almost 50% - 70% xp for that area. (if the monster run to other area, dung pod it and make it go to the right area before killing it this will make sure all the xp goes to one area only)
SOS flares are all I use cause I dont have any friends that play this game. So is everything with the guiding lands all done in expeditions or do you still find tracks and then you get investigates to do to hunt those temper or high ranked monster? It will suck if I have to solo ever high ranked monster in the end game. I had to start all over cause my save file got corrupted somehow so Im not in Iceborne yet. Im finishing up the vanilla story right now and getting all the gadgets and mantles and getting to the Elder Dragons and blue scout fly monster. I dont remember if there tempers or just elder.
Hi Gameonomist! Recently after beating story solo, decided to leave my trusty main weapons behind, GS, longsword and lance, and try out hunting horn.. Omg I love it.. But so far my builds for it i wonder if they are effective, it's basically rath head B, rath body B, and black diablos waist B, and diablos gaunlets and legs for that sweet slugger 5! Every other build I try I don't feel like it's worth getting rid of slugger 5 as stunning is so nice? Should I not worry about slugger 5 as much lol? , I know HH is support so should I orientate my build for that too? :/ I don't think wide range is good thou because I'd rather be concentrating doing damage and giving my doot doot buffs lol,? Cheers great vid as always :)
There is a bug in the guiding lands. If you are 100+, enter a grinding lands from other player that is below MR 50. This Will give you the proportion of XP that he Will have, so, you Will be lvl 6 and gain XP by proportion from a lvl 2 or 3. I did this and I GO from lvl 6 to 7 in about 3 to 5 monsters
GC have you run any new "foot sniffing" runs in the GL yet? just watching the footage it looks like the gathering nodes give 100RP, I'd imagine doing runs specifically with your Gathering build from KT could get a ton of both fuel and RP for the specific areas you are leveling and more tracks with Scoutfly up. or does it not math out to be efficient?
Once you are MR100 I've noticed rare materials drop more often. Spiritvein gems are guaranteed drops from tempered monsters in GL, and tempered variants appear way more often. The grind to MR100 was meh but now I'm having a lot of fun and feel like I'm actually getting somewhere. And use the melder to make gems and mantles. Saves a lot of time if you have all those commendations piled up.
I've heard that, allegedly, you get better progress the lower your GL level is. So, if you join somebody else's low level GL and get exp you'll actually be getting more exp than if you were in a higher level.
It's faster if you actually just enter a lower MR players guiding land, it gives you a crazy amount of exp, for example, a MR 100 or 70 entering a MR 24 guiding land. It's more faster.
"Use Exploits!" > "I've been banned! D: ....." I'd be careful telling people about straight-up exploits. Not sure if Capcom works differently on this or if their ToS is different in this, but at least on several other games I play using exploits let alone telling people about them in RUclips videos has gotten them banned
I said this on your live stream and ill say again here. I really dont know what your saying when you say it takes so long. On level 5 Forest i get 1/5 of that bar to level 6 filled by a Nargacuga kill and a little more if i kill an elder. Fighting them collecting tracks and breaking parts as i go i can smash out 5 monsters in an hour and have a level quite easy.
Still not super sure how the gathering works, I ran around for like 30 min and all I found was 1 bone pile in the veil area, and everything else was just the usual crafting materials, like herbs. Are the bone/ore nodes just that rare?
My own personal tip is to take it slow, cause it's gonna be a while before we get a MHW 2 or whatever the next game will be, so no need to rush through everything. But that's just me.
Tip from a MR 102 don’t go solo it will take forever to level up best to shot a sos or join a group trust me I level up the wasteland from 2 to level 5 in about 2 hours. And bring 4 traps. U get more points and u can kill the monster faster. And the 1 number skill u should being using is Geologist people are sleepin on it. U can pick twice the drops for monsters. Happy hunting hunters. 😎
Watching that console load speed was utterly cruel at 3x speed. On PC with an M.2 drive my loads are 10 seconds or less, it's fast enough where you stay feeling immersed, semi-fluid. I feel for you guys.
The dumbest mechanic in mhw is that the guiding lands decrease in level... you spend SO much time getting them to lv7, then when you want to work on another area all your hard work goes down the drain. I hope in a future update they make it so the level either doesn’t decrease or it decreases 50% slower than it currently does.
Actually a tip to save time while doing the exploit just have your friend boot you from the session it’s much faster than disconnecting from the internet :)
BloodSinVIII you can get investigations. Gold Rathian does to Elders Recess for example. Speaking of which, there’s gonna be a Elders Recess biome when rajang comes out
My first trip to the guiding lands lasted two days straight because I had fuck all idea of what to do and had no idea what I was doing so I just kept killing shit, when I finally left to get some sleep I spent the next 3 hours mashing x button, they need to put a collect all button for the love of God I left so much shit in that box, oh yeah I didn't stay to collect the other 13 pages of bullshit, I just had no idea what I was doing I just went on a killing spree.
When your zones are level 5-6, is there a way to get a specific non-tempered monster to show up? I'm currently looking for a regular glavenus, but I'm only getting the tempered one because my forest and wildspire levels are too high :(
The whole system is just so damn confusing.. I played every MH game released int he west except the 3rd gen, but this shit I can't wrap my head around. Now you gotta plan so far ahead, if I need "Guiding Lands Materials" of X monster I have to level up a certain region which I somehow have to figure out before wasting countless hours of my life. Without internet guides and the MH Wiki this shit would be borderline impossible to use properly.
wait are you telling me my progress I'm doing on all the maps is redundant? So when I go to the guiding lands with everything on lvl 5 or 6 I can't level them all to 7 even if I hunt enough in all the areas and gather materials in all of them?

do. it.
@@owler4167 wait you telling me resource points = experience for guiding lands levels? Or am I slow

So this is going to kill my enthusiasm faster than deco farming.
Here's how you avoid that with the real tip:
*Don't sweat it.* Prior to getting high MR you don't even need to worry about grinding Zone levels because of the restrictive caps anyway, so when you first enter the Guiding Lands you can just mindlessly kill everything and you should probably keep doing that for a while.
@@darthvaderreviews6926 that killed my enthusiasm even more. All i hear was grinding, rng.
...It's Monster Hunter?

Also was wondering do you think getting lynian researcher skill would bonus tracks and what not in guilding lands
for the guiding lands exploit, dont just disconnect your internet, have the host kick you from the squad. it'll be easier
For me disconnecting then reconnecting to the internet is alot faster than trying to find someone I can talk to then getting them to kick me
so is it like, kill the monster to capture state, disconnect, capture and report in, reconnect and capture again?
Don't forget to proc fortify twice before fighting in Guiding Lands

Hey the gameconomist did you know that wearing full geology decos will allow you to pick up twice as many shinies? This maybe common knowledge don't know yet
@@timothyberryhillberryhill3459 You don't need the full geology decos, you just need one and the trick works.
@@AngelicRequiemX nice did not know that thanks.
Another quick way to level is to seek out or lure out Wyverns that have a high number of parts to break (Radobaan, Barroth, Odagaron) adding points up quickly.
Also, Geology and Partbreaker skills are highly suggested.
Seeking out monsters that drop a huge amount of tracks is also useful too. (Titty lizard, Anja, etc.)
Its not farming.. its grinding.
You just do investigations for these monsters. You can fight metal raths at MR 125 from optional quest, just gather the tracks and level up your research to level two at least and then go gather tracks in the elder recess and you will get plenty of metal rath investigations.
Yeah but they have drops that they only drop in the guiding lands, so you might need to farm them there anyway.
@@MrChunkso You dont need any guiding lands materials from metal rath for the armor and weapons as far as I know
@RiKk You can just do tempered investigations for decorations or you can do the events that raise MR.
I just go for the monster with the most parts that can be broken (like Radobaan) and have my Palico trap the monster while I fight it
Ah damn from the moment you said “have a friend” you lost me
PC load times on M.2 SSDs are like 3-5 seconds. I couldnt imagine a 45+ second load time, holy crap
Edit: Doesn't work with puki either.
If u need GL mats use lvl 1 Geologist. For some reason it doubles the shiny drops from monsters in GL.
Pickle material can meld just about every other material. Tempered pickle material can meld other tempered material.

Two ideas based on speculation: *Why not use Lures to continuously spawn in monsters like Barroth or Radobaan that are well-known for having a crapton of breakable parts?*
Second, if the Guiding Lands gathering materials that grant Research Points do indeed grant proportional zone exp, why are we even talking about all this? If all you want is zone exp it seems to me like the absolute fastest way to earn it is just gathering and snagging whatever tracks happen to be there and repeating continously, stopping for a hunt if a monster spawns whose parts you need.
The Grinding Lands is the new Kulve Taroth siege.
It always keeps you In one place, and you'll be fighting the same things for hours and hours.
It's better than KT. At least you can unlock new monsters, earn rewards and take your time with it. Theres not a pool of weapons tied to it either. Plus, that one place is huge
I’ve gotten tired of KT and it turns out her weapons are useless an endless hunting experience is definitely better
So kulve's weapons are...
Muda.
Gonna finish those next time I play.
your loading time is 12 times longer than mine OMFG
You can also use partbreaker charm/ decorations because they give research points if you break parts
I truly enjoyed the iceborne dlc up untill I got to the guiding lands.
Willy Lopez well I mean I can see why the story was fun to play through, my first experience with the guiding lands was “Oh cool........now what do I do next?”
For newer players who don't have many parashrooms and just wanna build up healing potions more. Here's my tips
- Get Flash Bug cages for your cat or whatever.

Instead of traveling back to other maps you should travel to the training room, which loads much faster than other maps
I honestly found it to be a good thing to gather for a minute to make the traps on site while my team randoms or not keep fighting since everything is so close together in the guiding lands I only need to bring the trap tools

This is a good idea
Anyone watching this recently the devs changed how the GL works, it's much quicker and more player friendly now. Try to look for a video on the GL that was made about 3 years ago.
I have a stupid advice if you don’t wanna grind from level to level
Just go with a friend that has the level for that region you wanna Level at 1 or 2 and just let him level that region
You go in his Guiding lands you will get the same exp for levelling his GL from level 1 even if your own GL is for example on level 5
It allows you to reach 7 easily
I unlocked the guiding lands yesterday let the grind begin
After I took out nerg for MR 100. I helped a lower friend out who had just gotten to guided lands and just from a few ancient forest kills and me showing him the laps for gathering my forest hit 7 in about 2-3 hours.
I don’t know if helping lower MRs helps get you more cause now my buddies who I play with at the same level are struggling to level up areas.

Nigel H yea I think that’s what capcom was going for maybe? Cause they added pendants for sos on lower ranks
Thanks for the tips my man
Bold of you to assume I have friends

Every other build I try I don't feel like it's worth getting rid of slugger 5 as stunning is so nice? Should I not worry about slugger 5 as much lol?

You've earned a like, and follow. Excellent job sir!
0:15 “the guiding lands are incredibly grindy.” Monster Hunter is and has always been incredibly grindy
Loaded into world while watching this and my music was perfectly synced
Can't you set a raider rider to just look for tracks? Maybe that with the sneaking around skills could be an easy way to just hoard tracks.

When your zones are level 5-6, is there a way to get a specific non-tempered monster to show up? I'm currently looking for a regular glavenus, but I'm only getting the tempered one because my forest and wildspire levels are too high :(
Check with the elder melder
For the continuing trap, could the palico gadget ( Thundercage) work for the points as well??
