TBH Alan ought to have made a grovelling apology regarding his earlier insult. Personally I hate it when people seek to excuse their own bad behaviour by saying they were drunk, or "just stressed" etc.
I've heard a major supermarket chain is now piping soundtracks of this guys stand up into their stores to stop people loitering and deter shoplifters. Early results are very impressive.
