"I know Steven from way back, we used to rob cars together" this is an expert level gag. If he's said "he's a Scouser, he robs cars" it's a lazy stereotype that most of Liverpool are sick of hearing. But he say's "we" so he makes a joke at both their expense, while still getting the Liverpudlian gag out the way. Romesh would do great in Liverpool.
See, I didn't even know it was a Scouser reference cos I'm from New Zealand, so I thought he was talking about robbing Alan and Jimmy. 😂😂😂

Ppl find diff things funny. I’m not one to laugh out loud bc I’m very tuned in. I’ve gone to see a couple of my fav comedians and smiled at jokes bc I can recite every line. I had a good time none the less.
