It’s people like Opal Lee that make this world a better place. I loathe what she and her family went through and what they lost when her home was destroyed and stolen. I’m ecstatic for her today. Her home should become a National Monument as a reminder to how resilient people can be and so that we never forget the animalistic ways of racists. I look up to you, Ms Lee. Enjoy your new home at your old home.

Nobody just handed you freedom! I'm so thankful that hundreds of thousands of soldiers who never owned slaves marched into battle under the American Flag to fight and die for your freedom. Let's add a moment of silence in thanksgiving to God for these brave souls to each Juneteenth celebration! Show some gratitude!
