FWIW, I couldn’t decide between the two Mojave’s and ended up with both 6s and 4s. Two months with both I still can’t decide which I like better. 6s is easier to work on and the design of the 6s overall makes the car more durable. But the stock motor timing is set to 22° which will cause the motor to overheat - especially since it comes with NO motor fan. Easier to upgrade, easier to pour money into, needs some upgrades out of the box - like scorched parts fenders are essential. 4s is ready to go out of the box - if you don’t enjoy wrenching the 4s is more polished, but less durable. The body has more plastic protection and the combined roll cage/dust cover keeps the inside much cleaner. But def reinforce the body with mesh tape and shoe goo or e6000, as it will fracture, especially the ‘wings’ in the back by the ‘fire extinguishers’. Do it before you drive it, you will never regret it. The 4s is much lighter (being more plastic) and has much better air control as far as landing jumps. The front end responds faster to throttle input while airborne. The 4s is quieter too, significantly so. The A arms on the 4s are more prone to breaking from a hit. Took both cars out on a somewhat rocky sand beach. Hit a large fist size rock with 4s and suspension arm broke right on the hinge pin. The 6s would’ve taken the hit and kept going. 6s has bigger tires also. My advice is if you want a no hassle awesome fun car get the 4s. If you’re willing to put some time and money into it, don’t mind a noisy drivetrain, want the ability to customize the car anyway you want it, and want a super fast super fun and super durable car, the 6s is a beast. Especially if you upgrade to a MAX6, you can easily go over 65mph (though the front end will lift if you get fast enough). I always planned on selling one of them but I still can’t decide which one. Also HH has the 6s Mojave on sale for $500 right now, which is the same as the 4s. Hope this helps anyone trying to decide. I couldn’t find a lot of info comparing the two styles when I was trying to decide. Either way you won’t regret the purchase. The Mojave is the most fun to drive of any of the dozen or so large cars I own.
@Nutz_forRCs fantstic write-up! The only thing I would say is on the mojave 6s, I added a heat sink and fan to the motor the day I brought it. Never had any issues with thermal cut or overheating. I've put it through its paces along with speed runs! It's been absolutely fantastic!
@@thercstore. the hobby is a financial burden but I love it. I gave up smoking to afford it so win win i guess, I've smoked for 39 years. Just bought a Losi dbxle 2.0 with 10 weeks cigarette money !!!
@geoffjewkes6887 Amazing achievement! Fair play! Looks like them toys are going to be coming in FAST! The hobby keeps us all out of trouble and minds active! So it's a win-win! Keep up the good work, dude !
@FPV-TV419 depends on how bad you beat on it, too, I guess! But regardless them bits aren't too expensive to replace, I guess. It's an epic car for sure!
I got mine 2 weeks ago at my local RC shop and man. I love this truck but have only ripped on it 3 times. I cant keep the CVDs in it to staying together.
@sleepybearx24 It's fantastic! Are you bashing it hard? As in skate parks, big jumps, etc? They shouldn't pop out just under normal use. If so, pop back to the store and explain. They should be able to replace them under warranty, providing you ain't beating too hard on it.
@thercstore. Unfortunately we don't have skate parks around here but no. The first time it broke down was ripping it in a parking lot and the CVD just chewed up the connection from the shaft to the rear diff. Second time was in grass one of the axle pins some how flew out of its spot with the metal ring around it. I've litterally only had maybe an hour and a half of play in it in almost 3 weeks.
The RC game is forever evolving and changing so much especially over the last few years! The 4s Platform ain't as good as the 6s but its so much more smoother! well balanced and cheaper to buy with the same driving characteristics of the 6s.
@simonsmith2969 Fantastic car! I love the red and white, and it was my preferred choice originally. But I thought the blue would pop better on the camera. After unboxing it, the blue does look amazing in person!
@ste.p Hi mate, firstly thank you for supporting the channel it's really appreciated! Yes, a full GPS speed run is on its way. On grass and tarmac, etc. Along with the first run, followed by a few bashing sessions, etc.... Loads of content in the lineup stay tuned!
Which is fair enough! Everyone is different and has different price points etc... Mojave 6s will always be the better truck but I wouldn't knock the new 4s. These new chassis are impressive.
It was a in-depth unboxing! From feed back of viewers, Viewers prefer in-depth unboxings rather than just opening a box and saying we got a new RC lets run it! This allows you to see the full specification of the car in detail etc. If we do the first run in the same video it really longs the video out hence we have always split it from day one. First run video out Friday! Thank you for supporting the channel and understanding Its really appreciated!
