Dell Latitude 7480 Ghost Touch Issue | Auto Touch Screen Issue

Hi i had 2 machines at work with this issue, both drove everyone crazy
eventually i opened up notepad and left it alone, i started to see random keys being "pressed" and they were showing / saved on notepad , also arrow keys navigating and left click
the left click was had to spot until i managed to place a loud sound on left click and a different on on right click
one machine i reformated and it ran fine for 3 to 6 months, but strangely enough after windows updates it done the same thing
so not sure if a mouse driver / touch pad update causes the issue or corruption, i think on one machine i used it as a guinea pig and installed the stock dell drivers, then i followed some instruction on how to lock the device and never update it ( i think the instructions was for a video driver but it applied to anything )
long term both suffered accidents, one burned out the mother board during a electrical storm and the other suffered a damaged screen as the owner would cram it in a bag with lots of books and cracked the screen - it was tossed out

My problem is that I can't get passed the Sign-In screen. The ghost bubbles are going haywire and it won't let me type my 4-digit passcode. Only able to get 1 digit through. Tried Safe Mode and still the same problem. Any suggestions, please?? Many thanks!

After that you can easily disable touch drivers

@@khcomputers No Dice. Same issue. Other keyboard still can't overcome the haywire touch screen bubbles. Trying to see if i could bypass the sign-in screen. I'm no hacker lol

But what causes Ghost touch? A faulty touchscreen or faulty touchpad? What is the permanent solution if I want to use touchscreen too? Thanks

Basically it's temporary solution
This is usually due to the touch screen getting damaged due to stress or firmware error. And sometimes due to drivers mismatch, this problem can be suggested only after thorough testing.

I just now disabled the touchscreen as you suggested. Thanks a lot man for uploading the solution!❤️ Took me half an hour to get to that screen as faulty touch created lot of issue. 😓 Yes, you are right! It has to be faulty firmware. Will update it.

Sir! I know very well, this is a temporary and non-permanent solution.But sometimes it has to be done
If you are working and the touch problem occurs, this temporary solution can be used temporarily
