I saw that watch in a store and really liked it. I don't think quartz is an issue, because there is no sweep and sometimes it's nice to have a watch you can just pick up and go and not worry about setting.
I like Tissot 'banana" so much that I have 3 of them in different variations. A beautiful watch! Tissot made a similar watch with hand winding movement a few years ago but it is very rare and costs much more than a quartz one.
The tiny size of the movement was to be expected. As it is very difficult to make a bend movement. I love the Heritage line (and the old Tissot logo) of Tissot . Wearing a Heritage 1936 myself.
I ordered a similar model this morning thanks to this video. I've also been looking for something just a little bit "out there" to spice up my collection. Thank you for posting.
I love the exploded numerals dial! The best ones from the 1920s have been coveted since I started collecting seriously some 25 years ago. I Love Tissot watches anyway. Cool brand! Pics of your banana?!?!?! Hahahahaha!!!!

Jarod, i meant i've forgotten to mention it in my "libretto" of the ideal Flamingo. Handwinding i would say, because of the nice onion crown which wants to be touched daily.

I really like the overall design, but it's a bit of a let down being a cheap quartz movement and being able to see the back of the watch from the side profile is not good at all. It ruins an overall great look.

Unfortunately not although i really like JLC. But it's on the list.
