  • Tissot watches can offer a lot in terms of design, history and proper watchmaking. Especially the watches from the Heritage line, often manufactured in the late 90s and early 2000s are still widely available and often come with modest price tags.
    In this video I review three of them: The Tissot Navigator or World timer, the Lisboa and the Banana.
    Learn more about measurements, specifications, movements, crystals, straps, availability and price.

    I think the recent hype (and over hype and now backlash) over the PRX releases made many forget about older more classic Tissot watches.

    Hello beautiful Tissot trio from the 90's, I have the same Navigator. For these three watches, I recommend purchasing the Tissot Janeiro Z199, also a model from the 1990s. Thank you for the video, it was nice to watch it.

    Love seeing these watches. Even if they're no longer made, they're perfect for anyone who loves the vintage look but wants modern construction. I may have to fire up ebay!

    In the Tissot Heritage line, I have a Heritage 1936. A special edition made only in 2016. Basicly it's a pocket watch on a strap. The back even opens like a pocket watch. 🙂

    Nice selection . Every time I eBay there are a few in Japan. If I am ever there my pockets will be full.

    My watchmaker has a NOS Lisboa and Porto. I am constantly tempted to add one of these.

    What do you think about the Tissot Heritage Porto? I'm contemplating buying it, but I just can't get over those 16 mm lugs(actually no lugs, just a ring) and strap

      I find it a bit too quirky tbh. But never saw it in reallife. Could be a gem in reality.

    I apologize if this question has already been asked and answered but do you have any advice on how to search the used watch market? You mentioned creating alerts on eBay but what other sources and methods do you avail yourself when searching the used watch market?

    • @CasebackWatches
      @CasebackWatches  2 месяца назад +1

      - Alerts on ebay
      - Alerts on Chrono24
      - Alerts on google (in desperate cases)
      - Daily tour through the marketplace of watch forums like watchuseek and the Geman uhrforum

    Beware with the Tissot Lisboa, Tissot will no longer service it due to parts unavailability.

    Nice belt. The screws are not necessary at all. Ask your girlfriend for the little bag wherein she washes her lingerie. It will do the job perfectly to wash the belt in a washing machine.

      Interesting . I took the time to google this ( Mrs was not au fait ) I believe a pillow case will do.

      @PietroCozziTinin 2 месяца назад

      @@richardb22 It will. Lingerie bags have the convenience of a zipper that prevents the contents from falling out. It also is more a fish net kind of fabric to let soap water reach inside without loss of power. I can't believe two men are discussing this on a watch channel but here you go. One can always ask me for household tricks though.

      @@IDKline There's no need to dismantle if one washes the belt in a lingerie bag.

      One should not wash leather in the washing machine, especially not vegetable tanned material. It will survive, but with a very different look and dry. Will be screwed ;-)

    Hype is basically to me irrelevant. Look and buy quality and what you like.
