My dad (corrections officer of over 20 years) told me the number of chairs in the room is done on purpose. It's a missing child case, so a roomful of empty chairs is a psychological tactic likely meant to call attention to the missing child so she doesn't get side tracked and maybe even poke at her guilty conscience. Anyone watching is probably already aware that interrogation rooms are set up deliberately to invoke certain responses and emotions in the suspect, so I doubt the settup of this one is just a coincidence. Not finished with the video yet so somebody might've already pointed this out.
Also kinda a side note but that argument of "not ALL cops are bad, MY parent/sibling/whatever is a cop and they're a GREAT cop" infuriates me to no end. My dad is a law enforcement officer and a damn good one who respects the inmates he guards and displays emense integrity and responsibility. I cannot imagine USING MY FATHER to justify the shitty, horrible, unspeakable actions of numerous cops and the corruption of the system as a whole. In fact if he heard me saying anything like that, he would be incredibly hurt and disappointed in me. The argument should be "if my loved one can be a good cop, why can't the rest of them?"
ACAB
@@Guntherandross you are the single handedly the smartest person on the entire face of the earth, this is so refreshing
@@disgrandpa247 I am the single handedly dumbest person on the planet but thank you.
@Canni The Bear "not all cops" shouldn't be an excuse for all cops either way because it's literally not in there.
Meanwhile ACAB does mean that every single cop, including your dad, is a bastard. And what should you do to not be a bastard? Stop being a cop do the shitty corrupt ones have *all* the power??
Imo going after the individual cops with ACAB doesn't make much sense when the problem is the system that empowers bastards and allows them to become cops. Wish we had something for that.
I get what is meant by ACAB but it's just misleading and people who aren't on board yet get confused and appalled. We need to think more about what we're trying to achieve and how we can do that. If we're trying to get people on our side, this is not the way. If we're trying to have a circle jerk then keep shouting ACAB.
@@Guntherandross I partly agree because most cops are good people (inm m country at least, in most first world countries really, so the ALL of the Acab really doesn't apply, as it barely even considers the whole country where it is from, much less every other cop on earth), but self depreciation is harmful and you should stop it.
as someone who was in chat for all of this, i cant stress enough how much people were getting hot and bothered over the ankle. sneeg did not exaggerate

The lady looks like the substitute teacher that gives you a packet and sits in the desk the rest of the day
Bruh
That's exactly what she looks like-
Damn well know its gotta be a janitor they pulled out of the hall and said "just be a teacher for a day"
she looks like my Spanish teacher
And after sitting at the desk, yells if anyone talks, especially if it’s group work, and the sub note says it’s group work.
To be fair, that's usually what the teacher leaves for them to do. They're really not supposed to teach unless it's long term.
5 mins in, but just thought I'd share this. When I took hydroxyzine, it made me into what my family and I would call a "walking zombie". It made me super tired and apathetic to everything all the time. If the meds are affecting her in anyway similar to what I went through however, it definitely does not, and should not, excuse her actions in anyway. What she did is horrific, and no possible side effects should ever lead you to try to abandon/ kill your child
I take a form of hydroxyzine for my eczema, and I have no symptoms that I'm aware of. I've never heard of that kind of reaction, that's interesting ngl
I had a similar experience with sertraline and it never excuses one’s actions like this!! It made me *virtually* catatonic and even then I was still aware of my surroundings. I know it’s a very different drug but it gave me similar side effects
Agreed. I’ve taken 15+ types of medication for mental issues, plus various pain meds. Medication that messes with your mental state can do a whole lot more than just the intended effects and even so, even on me who was raised in a manner that made me pretty aggressive, I have not yet seriously harmed someone. The only person who I *have* attacked was my “abuser” and even that was comparatively very light. There is no possible way this isn’t her fault.
I take hydroxyzine as needed and I cannot imagine taking it on a schedule. I pass out within an hour taking an incredibly small amount. However, I really can't see it putting me in a state where I'd kill someone, let alone a kid, let alone _my_ kid.
@@GHOST_boi25 lexapro has been known to do this as well. ive taken sertraline quite well over the few years ive been on it, but it has caused restlessness and occasionally hallucinations & insomnia when mixed with other meds.
So she respects her late son by sitting down his corpse in one of the seats next to her other, very much alive, kids...
At this point I just feel bad. Those kids watched their brother get run over, and based on what she's saying, probably had to ride home next to his body.
This is actually a common thing. When people are murdered by family members or those close to them their bodies tend to be cared for or found placed in positions where they would normally be alive. Sat upright, in chairs, etc. I can't remember exactly what it's called but it can be used to pinpoint family members/friends as suspects.

Maybe it's just me, but if my child had just gone missing, and I was innocent, and this cop started accusing me, I'd be pissed. Like, your child has just disappeared, you're panicking, and this cop has the audacity to blame you. You wouldn't be seeing things rationally and thinking "oh well it's probably just protocol to suspect the parents" you'd be calling that guy out. But she just sits there and takes the accusations.
Yeah, that's part of the reason why they poke and prod at people like that in the first place. Because and innocent person *should* get pissed at them for being accused. And of course, someone hiding something is much less likely to react that way.
Yeah, that make her look veeeeery

[TW] possibly one of the worst crimes.
So, I was thinking recently "Wow, America sure is corrupt but I don't think the Irish criminal justice system is THAT bad" and then on news a few days ago, a man was convicted of over one thousand cases of sexual assault on his own child, and got an 12 year sentence with the possibility of it being reduced to 11 years on good behaviour
America is so fucked when it comes to cases like that. Trust me. The guy who did it to me still is trusted around children!
Only 11-12 years?!?! Wtf
Well, if Irish prisons are anything like American prisons, then he will be treated horribly by the other inmates.
@@dumiighostii Hopefully but we cant just rely on that :/

This became way more real when they mentioned the Ohio river. I see the river every day when commuting anywhere. I could have walked right next to this person at some point in my life and never known it. It’s just weird having it so close to home.
What an awful person. I mean the abandonment is one thing, but being so wreck-less to also run over your child as well? I have lived in Cincinnati my entire life, there are signs on every fire, police, and other random businesses saying that they are safe spaces for children. If you are going to just abandon your child, there are tons of places to take them so that people who will actually care about others will ensure they are safe.
1:33:15 "was he breathing out of his EARS or his mouth?" -cop #2. Ah yes. My favorite part of the respiratory system. THE EARS

Fun fact about the police in Ohio. Some guy was put into a coma like a year ago during the training. Basically they fight/wrestle to a knockout, it’s like a tradition. So you get a bunch of cops, tell them to not be a wimp no matter how much it hurts, and keep fighting. Brain damage and dehydration? Well you are still talking, keep going. No breaks either. He fought for like 4 straight hours against multiple others.
Yeah it’s extremely toxic and bad, you know like the police system. I believe this was specifically the Cincinnati police, but I’m not sure. It’s not all of Ohio, but it’s definitely near Cincinnati.
I feel like she is trying to avoid someone thinking she was abusing or neglecting her kids. She sounds like she’s dealt with dcs or cps and that’s why it is important to point out that the kids had enough mattresses and rooms and shit
yeah CPS has really specific requirements about the number of rooms and beds for each kid living in the house, that's what I thought too
Yeah and then it turned out she was lying and had been doing some really fucked shit to her kids
Dude, I lost my friend who is a fully grown adult for less than an hour, she walked off without her phone or her wallet, and my friends and I were panicking so much more than this MOTHER is about her 6 YEAR OLD CHILD. We went to the cops that were right nearby within the hour and she came back, and in her narrative she waited 6 hours to report an actual child missing. Wowza
Damn I love crime time with sneeg! His commentary is always on point
Hell yeah❗❗❗
I'm glad to hear the great advice when it comes to dealing with police. You'd think it'd be common sense, but many years ago when I was much younger and dumber I was assaulted by a man who happened to be a detective in my neighboring county. The police ended up accusing me of making a false report. I made so many mistakes and caved into their pressure and thinly veiled threats. In the end, I had to write an apology letter to the creep and to his comrades whose time I "wasted". It was so humiliating and defeating that to this day I wish I had been prepared and fought it even if it meant going to jail and court.
I don't get how some people think that saying when a joke was a joke or a sarcastic comment was sarcastic it ruins the joke/sarcasm. Honestly it makes it funnier imo, like at 23:43! Also it's nice to have the reminder especially for people who are often joking/sarcastic or always have a level tone, like MoistCritical, that man always sounds serious LOL
he says shit like “this woman was off her rocker like a monkey flinging its own shit with a slingshot” with a straight face on god
Especially useful for people with autism who sometimes cannot tell whether you’re joking or being sarcastic especially when it comes to something written
@@GHOST_boi25 as far as i know i don’t have autism but people telling their intent does help me immensely
definitely depends on the joke, sometimes it makes the joke a lot more funnier (Norm Macdonald style) or it can ruin a joke!
edit: i found out i’ve had autism my entire life and this comment makes me fucking lose it LMAO
That's one thing I'll always be grateful for, I had an uncle who taught me two things at a very young age:
1: the details of how polygraphs work, and
2: the only answer you give to a cop in this setting, no matter the question, is "I'm not answering any questions without a lawyer present"
Wait people actually care if you wear clothes for more than a day? Why..
Like.. if theyre not dirty or smelly why would you change it.. that just seems like a waste
Exactly!
Ikr? Strange
women, myself included, tend to wear the same bra a few times in a row
it's not like it's gonna get dirty
if your clothes aren't actually dirty then there's no reason to wash them lmao

18:02 No joke my brother used to follow my mom when she would drive to the hospital in the middle of the night to deliver a baby or something. He would walk all the way to the hospital where she worked. Luckily, the hospital isn’t very far from our house, but he was also THREE YEARS OLD!! Freaked the hell out of my mom and dad the first few times it happened.
thank you for always including the trigger warning at the beginning. not many streamers bother but with content like this its so important and im grateful that you do it pretty much every time.

Hearing this lady talking about abandoning her kids reminds me of this one time my mom tried to leave me in a church parking lot because I pulled her hood off twice. She didnt even try to correct me just told my sisters to get in the car and as soon as they were in she locked the doors and tried backing out, I kept walking along the side and back of the car so she couldnt leave without hitting me. She eventually stopped to let me in and yelled if I ever did that again I would walk, it was 8 or 9 pm and the winter so it was dark out for hours already. At the time I thought it was a joke but for the next few years I wouldn't get out the car until she did and would try to get in before her and everytime I tried opening the door but it was locked my anxiety would spike.
jesus christ that's awful. i hope you're doing better now :(

it’s actually really normal to not know the names of the drugs you take off the top of your head. when you have a doctors appointment your supposed to make a list to bring in if you don’t have them memorized. like i’m on one prescription and i couldn’t tell you what it is unless i looked at the bottle. i have a picture of it on my phone lol

Actually had a highschool friend that was once pulled from his house sleeping and in his boxers and dragged into the police station because the cops were convinced he broke into the DQ down the road. There was no proof, there was only an eye witness and he actually caught charges for this thing he did not do. My friend had been wanting to join the military and from I was told that ruined his chance, really messed up his life...
Literally cant believe someone was asking about this literal murderer’s cup size in chat
I'd like to think i'd be super calm/ helpful if my child went missing, but realistically that's not what happens. I have care over my brother (our parents are fucked and since i'm a direct relative i have permenent care over him. he has behavioral issues and often runs off to try find our parents) When my brother goes missing the FIRST thing i do is call the police. The second I know he's not in my house, and it's happened a few times, I call 000. Right after that I contact child services to let them know. I'm not calm when doing it either, it's frantic, the ONLY thing on your mind is the missing child. There's no extra details when they aren't needed, it's chaos, even if the police/ emergency worker are trying to keep you calm. Nothing calms you down until the kid if found. This woman scares me simply becasue of how calm she is whilst her child is gone.
Glad I'm not the only one bothered by the cop rocking his seat backward
Wait so your telling me that’s not a elbow in the thumbnail?! My mother lied to me…
Also amazing video! Really enjoyed it sneeg :)
Thank you for explaining ACAB. I'm autistic and took it very literally and thought i meant any person who is a cop is automatically terrible. Not that being a cop automatically makes you a bad one because of the corrupt system. You explain it super well. Kind of embarrassed i was anti ACAB cuz some cops are nice people outside of being a cop.
Hey Sneeg, you definitely don't know me but I just want to say thank you. You helped me discover my passion of wanting to become a criminologist, I genuinely want to continue my education and get a degree in criminology (even though I'm extremely opposed to college) sorely because you helped me discover how much I love looking and analyzing these videos. Crime time is amazing I needed background for my crocheting
Listening to this while I clean up my room (and with it my mental state) after 2 years of untreated depression, ASD, and ADHD. Weirdly, these videos have helped pull me out of some moments. Thanks Sneeg!
Something about this lady rambling about little stories is so triggering. She's doing what my parents would do with cps. She's deflecting and rambling on little things. She's trying to seem as if she isn't abusive so they won't accuse her. If anyone I know went missing, but especially my kids, I'd be yelling. I'd be saying stuff like "why aren't you out there looking?' "can I go look?" "Are my other kids okay?" I definitely wouldn't be trying to avoid a cps case. Idc what the outcome is, I'd be raising hell for my kid.
Okay, this woman gives me the creeps. As a man, if I had children and one person asked me to leave them, that person would literally have one foot in the grave. This chick has no soul...she wanted to abandon three of her children, ended up killing one, how do you call her a mother? Just because she spread her legs and gave birth to three children, she's not a mother. She has nothing of a mother, it doesn't surprise me that she is so "cold", and she doesn't show any emotion, she has none. If she cries at the trial, it's NOT because of the children, it's because she was caught.
Most of the time its very entertaining and funny to watch criminials like her... but than i remember the unbelievable cruel crimes they did and these are people who really exist and are out there...
we need a small window of the ruinscape game play
Why do her random tangents always seem to end up at her kids going to the bathroom?

This case was actually in my hometown, It was such a tragic time, our community came together and did something nice for James during this time. But I will confirm that cop is dumb, more than 50% of the cops in Middletown suck and are stuck in the old ways so they still used polygraphs and such. I’m not sure now since I’ve moved out. But it’s also crazy to me that she put him in the Ohio river considering how far it is from there. About an hour and a half (correct me if I’m wrong) but not including cincy traffic. So she drove that whole time with her d**d son in the backseat?? She’s so heartless all for a guy. I know I’m like a year late but this case is just so crazy and heartbreaking to me that any MOTHER would do this to her kid :((

Y'know, this is an old video, but I thought I'd leave a comment anyway. With regards to ACAB, I never really understood whether or not it meant *all* cops, or the system itself. I'm autistic so meanings tend to get lost on me quite a bit. I can, however, attest to it. Multiple cops in my town know my family by name because my brother got arrested once (for a not good reason, it was a fucking ig post that he made in the heat of the moment then deleted you fuckwads) and because of my dads gun collection (that he inherited from his dad and uncle). Every time I walk by the police station, I worry that one of the officers is going to recognize me and interrogate me for walking alone. Hell, I'm sure at least one of them would recognize me from when the EMTs had to be called because of my brother. Sure, that cop was "nice" and gave me a fist bump. If he knew me now? I'd probably either be hate crimes or shot on the spot. Because I'm trans. And I live in a relatively red area of a blue state, so... yeah.
Sorry I'm rambling, I just fucking hate cops and I like to give my two cents.
