Next you need one of those conveyor belts that they have in grocery stores, so you can line up the stacks of books and keep the belt moving so the next stack is always right next to you.

Great job Mel! If you clear out your bottom shelves and put your bins there so that clears out that corner and then you can add your other shelf there you can also do that with your remaining boxes of books. Since you rarely use those bottom shelves. Just a thought! Yeah the hat definitely should always go in a box!

It’s probably a lot of work for you but thank you, I love these videos, they are so entertaining!! I love your job 🧡 I know you value your privacy, but maybe it’s time to reconsider about publish your eBay store in the video's description. Yes, I can find it if I spend some time looking for it but you make an excellent job in RUclips, you work hard making videos, you should not miss the opportunity to promote your store in them. 😁

Mel. I just rewatched your video and realised that you stack your envelopes wrong. Every time you took a padded envelope you had to turn it over to put the book inside then turned it back again to place the label on it. Maybe you will save a bit of time if they were stacked the other way.

Hey Mel. Thought you might like to try this idea. Place your books in a u shape. Eg start stacking at the back left and work to the right then come back in a u from right to left in a front row. So when you grab to ship you start from the front left and work to the front right then go to the back right and work to back left. So 2 rows so you are not snaking - just work left to right front the right to left back row. Sorry my brain hurts now. Lol

Hi Mel, since you print all your labels at once and write the book names on them, couldnt you also write the shelf location, then just pull your orders from the labels, and lay the label on top of each order. Or put the label in the book sticking out, if its a single book. That would be even faster! I saw another reseller couple do this when pulling orders. Look up Ginger Marvin on youtube. 😊

On the label there is a section for a reference where I can write anything I like on it so I write an abbreviation of the book name so I know which label goes with which book but this method stops me from hunting for the book on the table when it's full

My mom ordered my son an indoor tent for his birthday. It was new, still in the box. The seller placed it in a CLEAR plastic bag, no protection, stuck a label on the bag, and mailed it to our house. I was expecting some inventory I ordered to arrive at around the same time, so I just opened the door with my son standing right next to me. Before it registered in my mind what I was looking at, I hear, "MAMA! IT'S A SUPERHERO TENT!" So he got to open Grandma's present two weeks early. 🤦‍♀

You looked so calm whilst you were shipping. Little suggestion. "DRAW" your snake by using post it notes numbered 1 - whatever and place them on the table then you will see where the next pile should go. After a couple of days you will get into a routine and wont need the post it notes anymore. Glad to see the Ouiji board has left the shed. Good job you did the other orders the day before. Great video again. Your new routine looks quite effective. Great job. Xx

Such a great process improvement video! I thought moving the trashcan idea waa such great fine tuning. I also pile up trash and then stop to throw it out. Question about your label printing. You print them all at one time. How do you determine the postage? Do you weigh and size packaging during the listing process? I weigh at shipping and print labels one at a time. Maybe you can make this a topic of a future video? Thanks again for sharing your journey!!

Have you ever had any issues with the loose edge of your mailers getting caught on anything/ripped in transit? (I mean that tiny bit to the side of where the adhesive is?) I've always spent time & tape to stick down that edge, and watching you close the mailer and be done has me wondering "Why do I do this??", LOL!

I notice you rubbing out what I presume is pencil markings on the first couple of pages, how do you get on with erasing pen ink or ball point pen from the paper. Pity the hat was crushed in the post but no surprise sending it in just a bubble mailer. The zig zag packing method could get a bit confusing but looks like you sussed it out in the end! Another great video, thanks Mel.

We have flat rate 5kg mailers so I don't need to weigh I only need to know the size mailer I will need. So this is why I pick all the orders before printing my labels incase I need to cross reference the size of the mailer needed (most of the time I visually already know though)

No my mailers are flat rate for 5kg so I just pick them first, then print labels and if I’m unsure of the size needed I can quickly test as they are already picked. I’m good at visually knowing the size mailer an order needs though so rarely have to check.
