Whoa, this takes me way back, loved this song as a teen, went to see them in Collingwood after this album was released, was under-age and had to finagle my way in. They played this song, Mark Seymour noting that it was a tricky one to play live. Great band that somehow managed to be unpretentious with a french horn. Great bass guitarist. Talking to a Stranger is another great early song of theirs.

I remember a workmate of mine going to see H&C at the "Hilly" in Hamilton, NZ in the late '80s and telling how some punks had been body slamming and one of them had cracked his head open and bled heaps all over my mates shirt, which he hadn't known until his girlfriend pointed it out later. Felt really envious that I'd missed such a decent gig! Fast forward to about 1995-96. Hunters and Collectors back in Hamtown, I wasn't gonna miss them again!!!..... Back at the good ol' Hillcrest Tavern [which was the varsity/uni students pub]. They were bloody awesome, sounded better'n their albums, got the crowd into a whirling dervish of a dancing mess, almost did a whole 'nother set of encores cos we wouldn't let them go. H & C were always well loved on this side of the ditch, and justifiably so! 1 'o' the best live bands eva! [Shoulda been bigger than they were, even].
