Glad to see Tropius getting some love.
One of my all time favorite pokemon and it DESPERATELY deserves an evolution.
I think it needs some stats buff and that's it. It seems already like it is in its final form and I prefer it to stay that way. Otherwise we'll end up with something like Rhyperior!

I don’t think it really needed an evolution. It just need a good stat buff, and maybe a regional form would be cool.
In Radical Red they give Tropius some love. It becomes a Grass/Dragon typing, gains Wind Rider ability, and they jack his Sp Atk up to 92 and Speed to 81 so he isn't so bad.
Finally some Tropius appreciation! Always been my #1 pokemon that I'd love to have in real life. Friend-shaped dinosaur? Check. Flying mount? Check. Ability to stomp my enemies to death? Check. NATURALLY GROWS SNACKS? BIG CHECK.
I honestly didn't know harvest is 100% in sun lol
I remember an old Haydunn video where he had a similar strat with Exeggutor, where you can set up Substitutes, then Leech Seed/Sleep Powder and Giga Drain/Psychic, boosted by Harvest + Petaya Berry. Had good fun with that on Showdown when people weren't prepared for it.
Gen 4 Exeggutor Harvest with perma-sun was a really strong UU gimmick set.
Harvest Trevenant was quite popular when it was first released, also.

Tropius needs a banana-themed signature move. Maybe something like “banana missile” or “banana blade.”
Or make some sort of special effect with harvest and the Nanab berry 🤔

the harvest under the sun is news to me but I like how all of Tropius's abilities are sun based so you can really mix it up on sun teams

Your commentary is witty and engaging, and I just love the authenticity and realness of you just getting some Wi-Fi battles on the SV client rather than trying to be a poke showdown demon. Tropius is an absolute pain in the arse on Showdown Random Battles. One of my favourite Gen 3 Pokémon, always love to see you use it.
Pulls out a gimmick PHYSICAL tropius set, proceeds to devastate a team of ridiculous OU sweepers with webs up (two of which are now BANNED in OU singles) 😂 you love to see it. I bet that guy was raging "wtf chat gpt, you told me this was the best HO team in the game! How did I lose to a ZU flying bananna lizard?!"

It's one of my favs too! I use a Harvest Sitrus Sub/ Leech Seed/ Whirlwind/ Hurricane. It was good for spreading chip dmg through a team, phazing esp w hazards and got surprising KOs w Hurricane.
I liked it as a ride Pokemon in gen 3 & Or/ As. It had a neat kit that made it fun to include on a playthrough.

If the opponent had any priority, like fake out on sneasler, or just switched the ape in sooner, the Tropius sweep would've ended earlier... this just goes to show that you should never underestimate low tier Pokemon!
Tropious was my main when i played hoenn for the first time, it stats don't do justice to how majestic it looks.
I love players like you that actually do work to figure out how to make weaker pokemon not only work but work better than just using something already strong

harvest is the single most underrated ability in the game. amazing to see its offensive potential accessed too, i usually think of it as purely defensive.

I always loved this fruit Pokemon since RSE and keep wishing it gets buff as well as actual stat improvement.
Tropius has Chlorophyll though which is equivalent to eating two berries. So harvesting a +speed berry is only worth it from +3 onwards. I feel like Harvest for a +attack or +sp. attack makes more sense.
He ran Swords Dance. The set gets the plus 2 Attack behind the sub and uses the berry for Speed. The set was built around being at low HP to gain Attack and Speed by setting up after getting a sub up.
Tropius Is my all time favorite grass type Pokémon so I’m glad someone’s actually using him🙏🏼

A few days ago I was chilling doing some random battles on Showdown and I got a Tropius with the whole LS/Sub/Protect set. After about 30 turns of mindless stall I literally chose to forfeit rather than subject either me or my opponent to any more. He was grateful
You could've also predicted that Sucker Punch and put down another layer of Rocks, avoiding the dmg.

If you used growth instead of swords dance you could use giga drain. Growth under sun gets +2 in special and physical att

I would honestly like for you to do a series of videos where you take these underappreciated Pokemon like Tropius, Zangoose, whomever and you make suggestions on how they could be made more viable by things like giving it a mega, a new type or ability, whatever.

Man i wish they’ll buff Tropius stats. It’s a 460 BT but being a single stage Pokémon with no evolution or gimmick it should have at least 490 or 500 BT.
The stats should go to Attack and Special attack. It’s bulk isn’t too bad.
