    Jazakaallah kheiran and please can you tell me what each word means.
    And on the side note. With all due respect and you know better than me. But wouldn't ق be better represented by a Q instead of a heavy throaty K. I'm only asking because soon we'll be introduced to ك right? And when I'm writing the pronunciation in my notes I might get confused by the two sounds/letters. Once again it's just a question, you know better baizni'allah ta'ala.

    Hey! I’m trying to learn the Arabic alphabet, but I don’t understand when it’s appropriate to use Alif. It seems that the vowels appear in the words without even writing them. How do I know when to use Alif in words? Is there a specific rule, or just gradually-built intuition?

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  2 года назад +3

      I am not sure I fully understand your question, but one thing is sure, and that is you will learn much more about vowels, and long vowels like alif in the coming lessons.
      So keep following the lessons using the playlists to watch every lesson in its correct order.

    How do you know which letters connect and which ones stay single?

    • @Arabic101
      @Arabic101  3 года назад +1

      By learning the four positions of each letter.
      Some letters like (د) will have 'the middle' and 'the end' as the same, since you cannot link the د from the left side.
      Same goes with (ا) .. so if a word ended with these two letters, it will look like that ــاد
      Also using the Arabic keyboard in Microsoft Word helps a lot, since it automatically does that job for you.

    hey, these lessons are great but a problem i keep running into is for example when i read the word "قفاز" the words very clearly read "krafaz" like u said, but then when paste it into google translate it says the word almost completely different, in this example it says "krufazon" and i dont understand why the n sound comes in the end when there is no nuun "ن" at the end? i hope u can help me understand why this is, and keep up the good work brother!💪

      I am not sure I understand what your question is .. The word قفاز means glove .. I don't know where 'krafaz' is coming from, or if it is even a word in Arabic. Same goes for 'krufazon' .. is that Arabic?
      But I can tell you for sure that learning a language from Google Translate isn't the most straightforward way, to say the least.
      If you have other questions, make sure to send them via the website arabic101.org
      Good luck further

      @@Arabic101 hey, I looked into it and found out that google’s pronunciation adds a case ending that is a feature of Fusha Arabic (but not the dialects). In this case, it is adding the nominative case ending (-un). Thank you for the response.

    Why غبار is not pronounced as ghabaar? How can I know if it's gho or gha when there is no indication?

      This will be explained as you progress in the course, when we start talking about short vowels. Now the main focus is learning the letter and linking them.

      If you are only learning Arabic, find the playlist (how to speak like an Arab)
      If you are learning the QUran, find the playlist (makharij ad sifaat)
      They will explain everything there is to learn to get the hang of all the difficult Arabic sounds.
