      All depends on how much it draws as far as amps and how long is run time.?
      1 minute..3 minutes?
      And how many times.
      Maybe the river 2 max would be better or a delta 2 ..which they have been having good deals on

      Yes I agree. Recharge time’s especially solar is important. That’s the whole idea on these. If you can recharge with a large panel you bought used that’s the way to go. Imagine that could bring in 400 watts of solar… now we are talking !!!

    Don’t understand why Ecofllow decided to go with the same 220W solar input for all the models 220W seems fine on the River 2 and River2 max but too slow for the pro IMO.

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  Год назад +1

      Yea they ended up using the same charge controller across the line when I agree for this model, should have been around 300-350 watts. Higher solar inputs is what everyone wants.

      Inverters use power. So always have them off if you are not using anything. Plus it’s a guess -O-meter they are not 100% accurate.

    What diesel heater is ur? I'm considering to use River 2 pro for 5 kw Vevor heater. After seeing this video i am disappointed

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  Год назад +1

      Mine is a maxpeedingrods rods but its rebranded and pretty much the same specs as most all from vevor and more. They all need about 175 watts or so to start then use hardly anything after that. Unfortunately most every EcoFlow can not handle the start watts which ill admit is sad. The delta pro can but its to big and heavy for a smaller set up.

    • @bearlycamping
      @bearlycamping 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@johnnysweekends just curious if the AC outlets are rated for 800w with X mode off, why couldn't the River 2 Pro handle the startup of 175w on the diesel heater? Thanks

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  9 месяцев назад

      @bearlycamping all of the units with a 12v socket are rated at about 126 watts. So unfortunately that’s not enough for the start up of a diesel heater. They can reach 170 watts for just a few seconds and that will trigger over load.

    • @johnnysweekends

      Hard to decide because both have there place. I like D2 because you can expand and higher solar input. It’s just better all around but of course heavier and larger. And a steeper price.

    Has anyone has this problem. I have a 12v Socket car tire inflator...The one you connect to the AKA Cigarette Lighter port that comes with a 15 foot cord wire. When I attempt to use the Ecoflow River 2 Pro 12v Socket.... it doesn't work... Yes The power is turn on ...I do have light on the 12v Tire inflator ...but when I try turning on the compressor.....nothing happens. Anyone else seem to have this problem ....I tested on two compressor requires 150 watts 12v input for compressor.

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  11 месяцев назад

      Just about every power station has a 126 watt limit on the 12v socket. Some can handle a short load of maybe 135 watts but it’s a very short duration.
      Compressors have a high start up. So unfortunately it’s a no go for the compressor you have. A battery powered compressor or battery style clip on would be best.

    Did I interpret the CPAP load test to only operate for 5 hrs?

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  5 месяцев назад

      It depends on your CPAP. Are you using a heater that provides moisture ? Those can use double the watts from around 55 up to about 110 or so. So 110 x 5 hrs + 550 watts. Again you dont get the full 768. But if you run a cpap on DC it’s more efficient. So if you dont use the heater than it can last much longer.

    • @BlueBloodCstm
      @BlueBloodCstm 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@johnnysweekends ok good info. Confirming this will power up a 5kw diesel heater on DC, particularly on startup? Sorry if this was covered in the video, it just crossed my mind. Looking at Vevor unit. Thanks for your knowledge

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  5 месяцев назад

      @BlueBloodCstm no unfortunately it won’t which is a real bummer with a lot of the Ecoflow products. Need a high DC out. So for diesel heaters you need a AC to dc converter. Some diesel heaters come with them.

    ive owned a few of the smaller powerstations and i love them, but there is always noise when powering something like a fan. does the pure sine wave inverter resolve that?

    • @johnnysweekends
      @johnnysweekends  Год назад

      Yea it should, pure sine wave is a cleaner power plus EcoFlow products use good quality inverters. It possible the inverter your using is lower quality contributing to noise/buzz.
