I haven't watched the video yet, but I couldn't agree with you more. I never understood the fascination people have over someone because they happen to have an extraordinary job that deems them as a "celebrity." If not celebrity status, it's horrifically sad that people suddenly grow deaf, dumb, and blind towards some people who break the law or norms left right amd center simply because the person has an astronomical amount of money. It's as though they are a devine being to be worshipped. Now it's not to say that I'm not intrigued or fascinated with the type of work that some of these individuals do. But I'm not breaking my neck or breaking my bank to be near them or anything of the sort... they're just people, not the second coming.

I was very disgusted to say the least that all women who came out were the average women who refused to be influenced by power or negative pressure to stand for the truth. All these celebrities kept quiet and didn't say a word, yet when it was time for award shows all stood on stage to make a stand ( where were they when all was happening? ) for some the abuse took place around them yet they kept quiet. Yes I agree 100% I was in the domestic abusive relationship in my early 20s and 55 now I have a son never been around his sperm donor, but he has all his treats. I never condone my son putting his hands on women has been changing. I found out that he was, going to therapy for three months at the beginning of this year but had been in for 11 years domestic violent relationship I I need to March 17 of this year. My son took my gun, put up to his chin and try to take his life. She knew my son was depressed and suicidal and never said anything, but she said something to her mother and her sisters and everybody on her side, I think God he is still with us. He lost his right eye damage and got a long road ahead of us and that’s OK. She doesn’t wanna her accountability. Stand up right is right & wrong is wrong
I honestly feel it starts at home with family and close friends before we need to have female celebrities be our role model. The issue is too many people endure abuse because their mothers did and they normalized this crap. We need to deal with our own internal family demons and stop looking for celebrities to be our hero and guide. I agree they should speak out but we can't make this our expectation of people that don't love us, we need to have that support from those that claim they love us, which should be our family, local church, friends, neighbors, etc.

Agreed. Some of us idealize unhealthy relationships in our own communities and families. We cannot look to people who pretend for a living to be our moral compass. We also don't know if the silent women were also abused and are triggered. So, it is problematic to assume that they were not also traumatized in their interactions with this abusive character. We cannot tell victims when to speak. They alone can assess the dangers around them and we must provide support as family, friends and community to help when they are ready to share, heal and move on.

Thank you for bringing continued attention to this sensitive topic. Domestic violence is difficult to prove when there is no physical evidence such as a bruise or video. I empathize with the women who suffered in silence, cried out for help, and tragically did not receive the support they needed from the justice system.
