Similar happen to me, had a friend who was getting married to someone who displayed red flags I asked my friend to consider postponing the wedding until she is happy with his conduct. It was a destination wedding I had already booked my and hubby’s plane ticket when she called to tell me I’m no longer invited to her wedding. This was a friend of over 25 years. We’ve not spoken since although I’ve heard she wants to rekindle the friendship which I do not want. It’s now been abt 15 years since the incident and the marriage lasted a few months. I’ve forgiven her but have moved on. Do not put all your trust in friends!

This is transformative! Some girls did a funny business with me a good 10 years ago. I left in the middle of the night while they were out clubbing. I told them I would stay behind “due to cramps.” The minute they left, I packed.. got in the car and told off. 2 hours into the road I sent a text stating my departure. Thankfully it was a local trip. I thank God for the intuition to get up and leave.
By “funny business”what I mean is condescending comments (hate is embedded in jokes), changing the subject when I talk about how I was going to defend the thesis I wrote, & talking about my new job. I literally felt their envy. It was chilling. My advice: listen to your intuition; it will save your life.

After watching this. I would like to share my story. In 2019 I took a trip to Mexico with 2 "friends" I've known for since 2003. I'd never been there before and was excited to go. I noticed after we arrived & checked in both of them were acting weird. They're both married, one started crying on the patio, the other one was consoling her. I let them have the time to pull themselves together. Next day, as were all getting dressed they damn near accused me of taking their wedding rings?? I didn't see any rings nor did I know they'd taken them off. They found the rings. next one of them kept moving my stuff around. I asked her to leave my stuff alone. As we'd get ready to go out it seems like they were jealous of my resort wear. Mind you months b4 the trip, I was sending them cute outfit/ dress pics. They started acting distant, speaking in Spanish knowing I wouldn't understand. We'd be at the bar, one would go change outfits, as if she needed more attention from the men. Getting upset bc I didn't understand the money exchange/difference. One girl didn't seem to have much money with her. The other one seems bothered I was shopping. They got real cold on me. EXCLUDING ME FROM CONVERSATIONS. From that moment i knew in my heart the friendship was over as soon as we got BACK to the US. Fast forward to the Uber ride home I was quiet. I could believe how they both behaved. I said to myself, never again. When they exited the car, that was the last time I spoke to either of them. You'll never get the chance to treat me like a piece of crap again. Box juice shaped heffas.

He ended up leaving her for another woman. Everything they had was bought on her credit. He even took her car and other belongings and gave it to the other woman. She just let him get away with it. Absolutely, Meika...she displayed passive aggression attitude, she acted as if nothing was wrong, but quietly joined in the plot to leave the young lady. It was the same exact behaviors that was demonstrated by those who traveled with Shanquella, they all appeared to be cool, but strongly collectively participated and watched Shanquella be beaten and murdered. Fumi was right, Eboni was the most dangerous one! I am willing to bet all the Cabo6 had characteristics of being passive aggression, harboring toxic thoughts of jealously and envy, yet smiling and pretending to be Shanquella friend, awhile waiting for an opportunity to display their true feelings for her, it was definitely obvious, no way would I have stood there and allowed that to happen to my friend, somehow, someway, I would have pretended to make a store run or something, even made a call to the POLICE, of a gun on the premise, made a bathroom run to text or something, anything to tell or perhaps prevent that from happening to a friend. All of Cabo6 is guilty and should be charged and convicted!

This happened to me before too! My friends of over 10 years traveled with me out of town for my birthday. As so I thought. One of my friends refused to do anything I suggested and everyone went along with it. I will call her Pam. I was so upset because I did not enjoy the time there at all. We literally got lost driving on a highway for hours because Pam wanted to find a liquor store. The next day again they decided to do things Pam wanted to do. My brother stayed in the city so I asked them to drop me off there. When they came back Pam wanted to travel to another city to visit one of her friends that was in college. I refused and said I didn’t want to go visit him. So they left me. I had to call my mother to come and get me. Time does not equal trust. My mother never liked Pam. She had shown red flags before and I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt. I’m no longer so trusting anymore. Learned my lesson. I’m grateful to be able to tell my story unlike poor Shanquella.

Being used and abused for my open heart and gifts…I finally found the courage to start my CREATIVE COACHING program. (I was being used for my creative gifts that I would FREELY SHARE WITH “friends🙄”) I don’t know every scripture in the Bible but YOUR ENEMIES BECOMING A FOOTSTOOL IS REAL! I was thankful I was shown truly colors because it pushed me closer to my purpose. I wish Shanquella saw the light before those demons tragically ended her life. 😔 & I hate that she had to become an example of the importance of keeping good hearted people around. ALSO, that situation helped me reevaluate MYSELF. What about me is allowing these types of women in my life? It’s so terrible when gfs off load their problems to you and you in your good heart try to give them some advise. She then turns on you accusing you of “trying to break them up”.
This crap happened to me. I learned the hard way. Don’t waste time on people who don’t want to listen.
Sometimes people just want to vent and just have your pity/sympathy. NOT solve their problems for them.
At the end of the day, people hear what they want to hear and if you against what they want to hear, they (don’t self reflect and in turn) think “you are the problem,” which is really sad.
Since that incident, I now ask my gfs do you want advice or do you just want me to listen? Even when they tell me they want advise, I let them draw their own conclusions, I do that by asking them “if a friend is in your situation and is asking you for advice what would you tell them?” This way you stay neutral and not threatening to them.
I hope my incident and advise is able to help someone who needs it.
I am just sorry that this happens to a lot more women, more than we know or are made aware of.
Stay safe, ladies. My prayer, blessings and best wishes goes out to you. ❤❤❤

Moral of the story is, everyone is not your friend and stop interfering with others relationship because it will never end well. A mentally and emotionally unstable woman will ALWAYS choose a man over anything else.
The thing is people like the the woman in the story has always been like that, but a lot of women turn a blind eye to the behavior until they turn on them because they thought they were the exception.
Lastly, women are foolish at any age, maturity does not come with age.

I was at a friends house one time and we were getting ready to go out. Her sister was coming with us too. She was training to become a makeup artist and asked if she could do my makeup, so I let her. She ended up making me look so ugly, huge caterpillar eyebrows, clashing eyeshadow it was so so awful and I had to go out looking like that. It was the first time I felt jealousy from someone I knew and trusted. So childish and stupid

I had a similar experience with an ex-friend (former friend) who invited me on a girl's trip to NOLA back in 2018. We were friends at that time but the people she invited, I consider them as an associate (friends by association). I won't say I was close with any of them. On the trip, the "ex-friend" was acting strange and distant because even though she planned the trip, she only choose activities based on what she liked. I was not a fan it at all and her so-called friends were not a fan, but they were cowards to not admit it to the ex-friend. Mindful, I am an avid solo traveler and this was my first group trip experience. I hated that experience and it was a waste of my time and money. I wasn't a fan of the people I went with and I should've trusted my instinct to not go because I felt it in my spirit that this trip wouldn't be easy. Someone I consider a close friend, whom I treated like a family member revealed their true colors by singling me out and leaving me alone in a place I wasn't too familiar with. Luckily, as an experienced solo traveler, I knew how to navigate my way around NOLA. Once I return home, I defiantly blocked and deleted those fake girls and decided to continue traveling solo. Lesson learned! Please surround yourself with the right people and know it is perfectly fine to travel solo and DO NOT let anyone make you feel insane for wanting to see the world! I love traveling solo because I can move and have fun at my own place without being judged on being me! Shakeemah, thank you!! We need more influencers like you! And btw I am planning another solo trip but this time to Tulum, MX for my 30th birthday! I am ready!

Betrayal unfortunately extends beyond age, length of friendship and sometimes even family, marital or religious ties. You would not always know to expect the depth of the betrayal, sometimes overlooking signs because of love and relationship. Truly , while forgiveness is very necessary in relationships, how can two walk together or travel together, except they agree?

I had a friend of ten years that I recently had to let go. I am a person that keeps my personal life to myself but I was having extreme issues with a business partner and I told my friend many details and implicitly trusted her. A short time later I ran into a mutual friend of mine and my friend that also knows the business partner. She started questioning me about the partner and couldn't believe that "he wasn't a nice guy" and knew details that she was obviously told. I was completely devastated, as this could have really hurt me financially and socially. Our friendship was over in that moment, as I knew gossiping was more important to her than protecting me. The level of detail she told let me know that she wanted to hurt me and probably enjoyed the ramifications. Sad lesson to learn.

I’m Malawian-American; I was born and raised in America to Malawian immigrants. I’ve been to Malawi(southeast Africa) multiple times in my life(most recently in 2021), and I’ve ALWAYS been very tied to my Malawian heritage/culture…and it especially warmed my heart to hear a Black-American say such nice things about Africans. I’ve had too many experiences over the course of my life where I’ve heard my Black-American counterparts say disgusting-horrible things/misconceptions about Africa. Thank you Fumi!! Our hearts still cry out for Shanquella. Her death is a tragic. Shanquella wasn't fortunate as this lady. They will all surely answer to the Most High God. Sometimes, the best advice to give others is none at all. After you warn them, you may need to step back. The lessons of life is absolutely necessary for our growth. I'm glad that the 2 ladies had some human respect to walk away and not hurt their friend. I applauded them for leaving. They were nothing like Shanquella 's so- called friends. I only wished that Shanquella's so-called friends would have left her unharmed and checked out as well. That is truly a blessing when you can walk away unharmed. We all get red flag signals, whether or not we choose to acknowledge, they are there. When you are younger, acceptance and fitting in is part of building your self esteem. You want to be liked. Thank God this lady still have her life, family, career...... Shanquella's parents has loss their daughter, her clients has loss someone they trust and love, and also mourned by her friends and the community. Shanquella didn't have a chance and didn't deserve this. She was beautiful and wanted so much out of life. My hearts swells for her parents. I can't imagine losing my child in this horrible way. Shanquella's death is unparalleled to this story. She was murdered. Even my so-called friends doesn't compare to Shanquella's story. Also, I applauded them for walking away from me and left me unharmed. There are many lessons is this narrative. These females plotted after the conversation. Trustworthy is important in friendships
and when it's broken, it can fester into hate. Shanquella's frenemies planned their brutal attack prior to the trip. RIP Shanquella.. Gone too soon and never forgotten. Justice will be served!!!

Her boyfriend was physically abusive towards her & she ghosted me when I told her to leave his ass. Her kids were terrified of him so I thought I was trying to help. I even called the cops on him one time. I learned a valuable lesson when she ghosted me, never give a woman advice about her man. Just mind your own damn business & if the man is violent just stay away.

If he's phsyically abusive, why do you think "just leave" is proper advice? She probably ghosted because it was impossible for her to just leave without getting physically harmed and she didn't know how to explain that to you. Having a crappy boyfriend is one thing, but having a physically abusive man is a total different experience you can only know if you've lived it. This young woman is inspiring!
Its too bad that her "friends" were mean, gullible, and inconsiderate, but its evident that she did not need them. They kinda set her free 😊 and Fumi, you and she has such a good rapport. Have fun.

Many years ago, a friend was going on a trip with their new partner of a few months. My friend was so in love she didn't heed my warning to make sure she had her own money. She believed her partner was treating her to this trip as she was between jobs. My friend was very stylish so no one looking at her would believe that money was tight for her at the time. The trip was a disaster, with her partner treating her badly and behaving jealous that she was the more popular of the two of them on the trip. They broke up halfway during the trip and my friend said all she had to eat was the free breakfast and water. She said it was a hard lesson to learn, but she wished she had listened to me.

Same here, went on two trips with a supposed friend, the airline lost her luggage and she abused my clothes, kindness and friendship and blamed me for encouraging her to travel. It was so much gaslighting. The moment we landed back home, I had determined I would never bother with travelling with anyone else except family. I've done 12 solo trips so far, meeting great people, finding business opportunities and just living life. The experience didn't break our friendship but overtime I saw through so much jealousy and the last straw was her angry I got engaged and hadn't informed her I was dating someone, it baffled me as I'd met my husband during the covid and was pretty much virtual and he proposed afterwards so there wasn't really time to introduce him to friends prior but how that was her anger made no sense. I've since restricted overly trusting certain actions, there are still good people out there but some people can never be good friends to you.

I’m so so sorry that happened 😢 but guys, please be very careful who you call a friend. People just don’t turn into monsters in one moment over night. They always were monsters and most likely demonstrated that long before you planned any trips with them. The red flags are always there. Pay attention to them! I’m glad she’s safe and learned a valuable lesson. 🙏☺️
