I've always dreamed of playing a side-scrolling shooter on a very wide monitor so you can see way behind and in front of you, with the ability to go back if you want to avoid enemy fire and catch your breath.
It's called horizontal shooters. You can't rest going back because enemy also come from from both sides. Plus the wide monitors are completely useless when it comes to Vertical shooters.

I'm fortunate enough to own a ps5 and I'm looking forward to this. However I can't pretend that I'm pleased about the bizarre and cack handed way that granzella are handling this update. There are many problems, but confusing communication, and dividing the player base, seem particularly disastrous. I fear that this is going to lose granzella a lot of good will towards final 2 (or whatever its called today).
Yeah, i don't get it. I bought two copies of r-type final 2: one for switch and one for xbox. And now it seems the final update, the one they promised, i won't get it. You know how much money and time did i spend between the two? For now being punished... i hope this is simply something temporal.
@@ashgonza92 It's also being remade on Unreal 5 while vanilla will continue to use Unreal 4. Granzella is basically giving PC players a middle finger after we supported them.
i guess many expected that the ps5 version would include ALL dlc stages and the "7 exclusive stages " would be part of final 2s "final 3" update.. what is the point of the final 3 update if there wont be anything new for the final 2 base game?

Seems like all of the RTF2 stages are in the trailer. Wil RTF3 gonna be a free update for RTF2? an upgrade purchase for the previous RTF2? or it will be a total new game release?

Leaves a pretty bad taste in my mouth when Final 2 came about after a successful kickstarter campaign where you *checks notes* asked fans for money and now you’re *checks notes* making exclusive content for the PS5 that you didn’t let the fans know about until Final 2 was already out and fans were already paying for it and going out of their way to buy DLC they normally wouldn’t have bought. I WOULD buy the last few DLC ships and stage passes and proceed to purchase tactics 1 and 2… but on principle I will not give another cent of my money to Granzella until the Evolved stages stop being PS5 exclusives. That’s not cool. Especially given it’s a kick starter game. I can always dig up older copies of tactics, don’t need to buy the remakes to support a company that’s gonna take fan money and then spit in their face.

This looks great, but I do wish they would make a sequel to the SNES game BioMetal. Look it up. The game was super fast, fun, fair, yet also challenging. The Gamma Shield was amazing too. You could throw the shield in any direction quickly and/or so a "gamma spread" which made the shield spread out and rotate super fast to give you an area of effect attack. R-Type is great also, but BioMetal was arguably better.
Hey, Granzella? Just take the FINAL name from these RType entries of yours, as they're clearly NOT FINAL. Just call them RType evolved.. or something😮💨
thing they need to fix is the movement in game is so lifeless feel slow and all same pace. and the music style too is very boring need to hire composer who made music for Delta.
So glad R-type final 2 was successful! Awesome to be able to play part 3 soon.

AFAIK Final 3 is coming to all other consoles, but Final 3 Evolved is PS5 exclusive

"Vanilla" R-Type Final 3 will be a title screen update to RTF 2. Evolved will have its own separate content for PS5

So is the game finished? I never purchased on Xbox One,PS4, and Switch because they still kept updating with content and fixing bugs/glitches.
