Emmett came to Calgary last year with bass and drums only. After doing two full shows, he turned up the Ramada hotel for the jam session....and played with some of the students from the Jazz programme at Ambrose university. Talk about dedication, the young guys were in awe at playing with him! He was so kind!

Awesome! Patrick Bartley is probably my favorite (living) alto player --- his reference to Kenny Garrett is deep. I saw Kenny Garrett live a few months ago and his Detroit/Motown/R&B/soul roots are such a beautiful dynamic in his sound. -- Happy Easter!

Perfect pitch in music theory class SUUUUCKS!!! The professor shut me down when I gave note names and not chord functions, lmaooo. I also have the same issue with transposing. I'm an alto player, so I can read concert pitch on alto very easily, but reading concert pitch on tenor is ROOOOUGH!!!😂
