i use 1 tbsp as laundry detergent. clothes come out looking new, especially my whites. i dont use fabric softener anymore, it is harsh on your clothes.
I am LOVING this stuff!! Thank you so much for sharing this for me! I ordered mine from Amazon as soon as I saw this from the Empties video. I have been using this for everything: bathroom, kitchen, a small bottle in the car and use it on my floors. I have been using the tea tree oil as well. I think this is going to last me for a LONG time. Thank you for sharing this as I am trying to get back to how our ancestors used to clean without all of the chemicals.
I'm so happy it's working for you! That size bottle lasted me over a year because you only need a little. Thanks for letting me know how it worked for you.
This is really helpful, I'm trying to switch all my household cleaners to biodegradable/eco friendly. Also when I saw the Packer earrings I was like we'd be friends:)
After mopping, do you need to do a rinse or is it ok to just dry down? We really enjoy the other soap from Dr. Bronners, and this looks like another good one.
I have some silly questions: -once the Sal Suds is mixed into the water, does it ever settle or separate if the bottle isn’t used for a long time? Does it need to be mixed periodically? -I understand pouring the water first and then the soap into the bottle to avoid bubbles, but do you do anything to mix it when you pour in the soap? Thanks!!!!
No problem, great question. When I was using this I always shook the bottle before use just in case of separation. Hope that helps and thanks for watching.
Hi Laura, actually at the moment I'm not using any other castille soaps. This video was recorded several years ago and I've since changed to some products I used from The Grove Collaborative.
I checked the ingredients on this product but it doesn't seem like it's a natural product to me. Here are the ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Coco-Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Abies Siberica (Siberian Fir) Needle Oil, Picea Glauca (Spruce) Leaf Oil, Citric Acid, Sodium Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Hydroxide
Thank you Erin for mentioning that. For someone who may be allergic to stuff like clorox sprays, pinesol and stuff like that, this is something that is much more friendly to the senses. I know it's not 100% natural, but it did help me in alleviating some of my symptoms.
Amy Sandhu its not that I have a problem with the ingredients. It's the fact that the article is saying it has natural products. From what I read here these don't seem to be natural. That's all.
I have been using this for 15 yrs….laundry, dishes, household cleaner (dilute, add Sals and 10 drops oil)..love it
That's great. Actually this video is pretty old. I currently don't use it anymore. I always switch things up
How do you use it in laundry
i use 1 tbsp as laundry detergent. clothes come out looking new, especially my whites. i dont use fabric softener anymore, it is harsh on your clothes.

You are very welcome and you are right it is going to last for a LONG time LOL!!

Hello fellow Packer Backer!!! Have you heard of JAWS...do a search on RUclips. I recently purchased and so far so good. Thanks for watching.

That's true.
Very good video....Thank you for your efforts!
Thank you and thanks for watching.
And, I learned today that in a bottle that size only a tablespoon of Sal Suds is needed!
Wow lots of great uses. Thanks for sharing this

S Kirby Awesome, I love Sal's Suds, such a great cleaner. Hope you enjoy it as well and thanks for stopping by.
After mopping, do you need to do a rinse or is it ok to just dry down? We really enjoy the other soap from Dr. Bronners, and this looks like another good one.
At the time I was using this (I now use Method mop cleaner) I never had to rinse after mopping.

I'm going to get me some sal suds and baking soda. Tfs :-)
Let me know how it works out for you.
It's good for washing the car, too! Also, try the Whole Foods 365 Brand of dish detergent, fig scent. It's really good :)
Ohhh, I love the smell of figs, thank you for the suggestion and thanks for watching.
Does sals suds cloud up the water?
This was several years ago, I don't use it now but from what I can remember no it didn't.
i shampoo my carpets with sal suds. a half a squeeze and rest hot water works great
Great tip!
Thank you so much. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Does Sal suds disinfect? Thx

Dr. Bronner is good stuff. I love that spray bottle. Where did you get it from? TFS & Blessings
Yes, it's awesome. I actually got that one from Target, but I have another one from Walmart. TFW!
NaturalDane Thanks....
Can you use this in mirrors?
Great question, I have not tried it on mirrors.
Can you do a review on the other castile soaps you use??
Hi Laura, actually at the moment I'm not using any other castille soaps. This video was recorded several years ago and I've since changed to some products I used from The Grove Collaborative.
I saw you no longer use this, any specific reason why?
Hi there 😊 no particular reason other than deciding to try other products like Mrs. Meyers, Grove Collaborative. Thanks for watching
I will do try this!
Thanks for watching.
Where do you buy the tea tree oil?
I buy mine from Whole Foods or Trader Joes.
Can you use it with cold water??
From what I recall, yes it definitely work with cold water.

How would you know? You’re not a chemist, just an armchair toxicologist who’s afraid of scary-sounding chemical names.
