    quick checking so what are the vector that's shuttles and expression? can I said YAC is shuttle type and how about BAC and other plasmid like pSC101,pBR322 and pUC >"

    Sir kindly reply why mrna itself cannot be ligated into cloning vector??

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  4 года назад

      There are few reasons the vector back bone is double stranded while mRNA would be single stranded moreover it’s hard to isolate mRNA of a specific gene and mRNA is highly unstable

    wh y is BAC (bacterial artificial chromosome) not a shuttle vector? pls answer

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  4 года назад +1

      Miss AK it was not designed for that purpose.....key contribution of bac in biology was to make big genomic libraries....it was never used in gene expression purpose....all these vectors are designed for specific purpose and need so bac is not designed to shuttle between host

    • @missak1365

    Is YAC a shuttle vector?
    What is the difference between YAC and yeast episomal plasmid?

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  5 лет назад

      Rishima Borah the first yac to be described was designed as a shuttle vector

    • @animatedbiologywitharpan
      @animatedbiologywitharpan  5 лет назад

      Yeast episomal plasmid or yep is also a shuttle vector with much lower carrying capacity than the yac...... actually I have a video on that I would upload shortly
