Sometimes I sit and let this music play until i fall asleep... remembering all the times when life wasn't hard. When a grade didn't dictate your entire future, and you could do whatever you want. Sometimes I wish it was all just a dream and I could wake up back in 2016.

As we grew up, we forgot to listen and look at the little thing of life.
Your life experiences get tougher and your body is hurting more and more but every morning, in the summer. Theyll be there.
    For you and for me.

@@grayseno1528 I can understand how you feel. What was supposed to bring us together has divided us even more, and there's just no kids playing outside anymore. Everyone is on their phone/tablet/console.
Most kids are raised by single moms, only childs so no siblings and overly spoiled. They spend all their days inside and because of that everyone is just more alone. If we had bigger families, then we're statistically more likely to be invited to a birthday party, or to a bbq, or to randomly go out to the beach.
These things no longer exist because parents are no longer together, and children are alone. Everyone is inside playing valorant or fortnite while eating Doritos and drinking prime. It's a pathetic existence and there's nothing we can do about it, except go outside more. Hope things get better for you grayseno

Summer of 2000, it's a whole new millennium. You're filled with hope... You have dreams and ideas bigger than ever and you have the courage. What you didn't know was how everything was going to turn out and how confusing life was going to become. How you miss that last sunset of 1999 because it felt like the last day of your true childhood. Where people celebrated new years. Where people came together. Where people came together and we weren't so alone.

What I’m imagining is me falling asleep back in 2014 when I was only 7 years old and at any moment I will wake up and realize the past 10 years has been an awful dream. Then excitedly, I run outside my room and wait for my childhood friend to arrive so we can just hang out, play, and just enjoy life. And as the dawn becomes morning all we can hear outside are these birds, signaling the start to a brand new day. A colorful day. A memorable day. And in that moment I realize… life is good. And that awful dream I had was a result of me not living in the moment. THIS moment right here! Is where we are meant to be. And from that moment onwards I enjoyed the rest of my childhood, cherishing every last detail, color, and sound. Before I moved on elsewhere in the miraculous thing we call life. But none of this happened. And I am stuck living miserably with a crippling nostalgia that has lead to my mental breakdown. Enjoy the happy memories, kids. Because eventually you’ll look back fondly on those memories as the last time you lived in the ignorant bliss we call childhood ❤️

The mourning doves are hitting so hard right now, I remember always hearing them in the morning as a kid. There's just something so ephemeral about hearing them because I don't hear those doves ever anymore. But it does remind me of a poem by William Carlos Williams.
    "so much depends
    upon
    a red wheel
    barrow
    glazed with rain
    water
    beside the white
    chickens"
Appreciating the small insignificant things in life is actually pretty significant.

This video is bringing me back to my childhood. When I was a little kid, I would play outside all the time and I would hear the mourning doves and the crows all the time. I remember asking about them, and my parents would tell me that their calling to each other (it was ethier my dad or mom who said it but I can't remember but I think they both told me but idk). And everytime after they told me that, I would say "they're calling to each other," and my parents would be like "yep." I moved away from my hometown after I finished 2nd grade. I am now in high school and I miss everything about it. I live in a different state now, and only go back to visit or for the holidays. I miss my old home, my old school, everything. I miss my old friends that I haven't seen since the last day of 2nd grade before we moved in August. One kid thought I was lying about moving, but I bet he believes me now. I used to send letters to the girl that was my best friend through 1st-2nd grade, but we stopped because she moved and I don't know where she is right now. I remember walking outside early in the morning and hearing the doves and crows and just birds overall, and I miss it because I don't really hear them where I am now. I do, but it's not the same as it was where I used to be. This sounds with the mourning doves and crows is just so nostalgic and I will always listen to this and think of my old home, friends, teachers, school, etc.

There is still hope. I know life feels so cold and alone, and all the good fun times are stuck in a past the feels so faraway; yet with beautiful music like this giving us the ability to just simply feel the memories for one more second. Life continues to move forward and that's okay, for there is still hope, hope for the return of simpler times, or the hope to just feel happy once more that every person deserves to feel. You do deserve to feel happy, for not just in your past but right here; right now. I know it feels impossible but you got to stay strong and I'm here always here rooting for those that deserve to feel happy even if they believe their undeserving of such a feeling. There is and always will be hope because one day you will hear the Morning Dove once more, I should know I've have heard them once again.

This song with the birds chirping will always remind me of a time when I was like 8 and it was the first time I had ever really taken in a moment. So basically it was the last day before Summer break 2012 and we had a lock in at my school where if your parents paid ( it was all organised by the teachers) then you could stay at school watch some movies, eat some pizza and stay in your classroom overnight and I just remember waking up at like 7 am on the first day of summer, no one else is awake and seeing the sun streaming in through the classroom window and just thinking “wow I wanna stay here forever” and I’ll always remember it and associate it with this song because of those bird sounds and the slow music and just in that moment and when listening to this song just feeling so….still

I got goosebumps 3 times in the first five seconds of the video when I heard this. it felt like waves of nostalgia witting me so calmly and fast. This bird is my childhood.
But it’s like these birds seemed to have disappeared ever since 2019, I feel like they stopped and that makes me sad that I will never hear this sound outside anymore. It's rare but it is always wonderful to hear them call out into my childhood.
Every summer I would go to visit my grandparents because we love them and their house is amazing and very nostalgic at this point in time.
Back then when I was younger, it was. Privilege to go there. Now we go there every weekend which is a good thing but this was the sound of a nice warm and quiet nostalgic summer morning/day with a faint lawnmower and the amazing mourning doves at my grandmas when I had no worries and no stress.
No matter what I say, nothing will ever express the feeling I get when thinking back, the feeling of nostalgia and joy I get when thinking back through my amazing life. That feeling is felt by everyone at some point.
But I feel mine is different and special.
    I miss 2010-2021😔

No matter what you believe in. The chances of you existing are one in 10 followed by 2,685,000 zeroes. It may not feel like it, but you are here for a reason and you matter. Not even including every other thing that could’ve taken you once you were actually born. I know this life is hard. But even though I don’t know you. Or your life story. Just know that as long as I exist. You will always have at least one person rooting for you and hoping you’re still here with us. And even years from now after making this comment. I’ll still think about what your life is like in that moment and I hope that I had any kind of impact on you. You matter what happens in this world. Please don’t give up ❤️.

This isn't a curse. This is a privilege. You GET to look back on those years and appreciate their beauty. This is a novel feeling that inspires people to write beautiful poetry and to make great works of art. Just sit with these feelings, appreciate them and then let them go. Realize that what you're really feeling nostalgic for are the little things and then use that to focus on enjoying the little things now. Photography really helped me to learn to live in the now and to LOOK for beauty. We're right here, right now. This is where the memories are happening. One day you will feel this way for these exact years and it will be just as beautiful.

I wish I could go back to the times my mother used to stroke my hair while I dozed off in her lap, listening to the wind and birds and the laughter of my brother playing with my dad, the sound of the leaves on our tree in the back garden and music in the distance from our neighbours gardens…

I remember my early elementary school days being mostly alone, avoiding my fellow classmates after being bullied or picked at. I had 2 good friends but we hadn’t really connected on a deep level, not to mention that we also didn’t have a lot of super similar interests. This song reminds me of the peace of being alone. Staying calm and collected with my thoughts and my thoughts only.
This time alone also gave me the opportunity to observe the world around me and let my imagination be unleashed. I expressed my thoughts and feelings not in the form of words very much, but mostly in the form of art and the sheer straightforwardness of my actions.
I also never had any siblings, so I guess it might have been easier to enjoy being alone or with your parents for most of your life for me.
Sometimes I wonder if others have had similar experiences as I…

Listening to this is making me reminisce on the times when i would play outside with my brothers and walk along the lake behind my parents old house. Im all grown up, almost done with high school, all my brothers are now adults and living their own lives, my oldest brother now has 3 children who are now living the life all of us grown ups once had. My parents old house has been moved off of its original property and now all that sits there is just tall weeds and random bits of trash. But im not sad because its over, im happy because it happened ❤

I used to swing and jump on the trampoline all the time back in 2015-2018, the mourning doves would coo all day until I went back inside. I wish I could go back to those times. When life was simple. When life was fun. I just now realize how I wish those times never stopped. I wish they never escaped my grasps and now I live tired and stressed all the time. I just want to go back to feel true happiness.

If you think about it, nothing really matters except for the calm moment you may be in of this moment. The universe is extremely big.. you make a mistake? Whatever! You forgot to do your homework? It’s okay. It doesn’t matter. You failed your school year and need to do it again? That’s fine! Atleast you have more time to be in school. You got fired from your job? That’s nothing! You can do anything, just don’t stress out or care too much. Any of your problems that you have right now, think about how they value to everything logically and to the face of how big our world is, it might be really worth different in your time. Right now, enjoy this moment and focus on what you want. Look at yourself now and what you want to be. Start living how you want to be and don’t care about stuff that let you down because life is too short and the universe is too big to care about anything.
Sending love to everyone, ❤️ be grateful that you were born. It’s the best thing to have happened to you, to experience every emotion and every memory.

To be fair, this is probably the only thing holding my shit together right now. Last night i left the house in a panic, looking for sounds and smells of summer nights from my childhood to grip myself into reality. Nothing is going my way, life is so expensive and I just lost the person with whom I pictured a home.
    Feel better soon everybody💗

One day I took some shrooms with my sister. (In Manhattan)
I walked from 167th all the way to 110, to Central Park. I walked on to a tall cliff and looked down wondering how high I was from the ground I could see below. There were 2 parallel lines of trees that stretched out into a tunnel like path and I stared down the middle and whistled. And a wave of birds called this call back to me.

Soon, when I’m older, I’ll go back to this video to remember the good old days of being a kid. I love hearing this things when I’d wait for the bus, or walk to school… or maybe just listening to these birds after the after-math of an army men war. Maybe the summer playing with your buddies in the neighborhood. Sad stuff man. (I’m not old, just saying when I’m older)

The reason you don’t hear them anymore is because older people hate their “annoying” call they made, and shot every one of them they could find. In certain parts of the world, that’s why you don’t hear them anymore.
