Purchased: August 2022 - still works GREAT! ruclips.net/user/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn I live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment.I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
About 180 square feet . It does a pretty good job . I bought it in may and the next month the price dropped by $100. I could have bought the 8000 btu for the same . Good ole Home Depot. Im pretty happy with it . It drains a lot of water . Just have to use a bucket
Looking to purchase a used unit for my rv same model, how's this one running for you, does it cool good, and can you run the drain hose to drain as needed or do you have to plug and drain it manually periodically. Thanks for any info.
So far it’s good . It cools nicely and you can set the top drain hose to drain automatically. I just put a bucket behind unit and empty daily . The real test will be when it gets really hot
You would probably have to put some screws to hold the vent in place. Mine sits in a groove so i got lucky . I don’t open the window because I have a decent seal and want to leave it like that . You Should be able to make it work
@@maxmusclem gotcha. I might just vent it thru the wall. Though I have to get my screen repaired or get another, i love the option to put the window up and with the ceiling fan on allow air circulation and a nice natural breeze....
Works great . I’m in California so it’s almost time to use it again . It really saves me money not ruining my central air . Just have to drain the bucket once in the middle of the night when it’s humid out
@@maxmusclem great to hear brother. I live in Washington where it’s normally quite cold. However this past week and these past summer temperatures have gone to upper 90s and 100s. So I’m just gonna buy one early because gosh I can’t sleep at night when it’s so hot in my room. Good looking out stay blessed
@@ballsachotdog this one came with a hose . There is a drain plug you remove and slide the hose on . I’ve seen where people have posted that if you leave the plug on the water evaporates. I’m not taking a chance to find out . A lot of water drink constantly.

Needed this, thanks!
Very helpful video. Thank you!
If you don't mind me asking, how big is the room? And does the 6000 unit cool well in your room? Thanks for your video.

for up and down windows if you vent it thru the window, will you still be able to put that window up if you want and need to?

Hi was the hose anti clockwise or clockwise?
The exhaust hose slides down and clips at the top. When you fasten hose to unit it just snaps in straight . It doesn’t turn one way or the other
how is it? does it cool a hot room well and do you still use it to this day and do you recommend. thanks brother much liove

Hi, where does the drain hose go to?
I use a plastic tub .
@@maxmusclem thanks for the response? Does the unit come with a hose that you can direct to the plastic tub? Or does it just drip out?

My unit is stuck on P1...
Try draining both drains .
That’s the code to drain the water
