I once had an LG flip phone like that and a Nokia 3310, after landlines started being phased out, back in the early 2000s. Nostalgia!
This is appealing. I had an LG flip phone for 7 years and it was glitch free. Unfortunately, it became obsolete because it was 3G. Agree that it's too bad it's limited to a couple carriers. Would have to switch carriers to get it but will consider.

Can someone tell me how to remove voice mail notification from home screen. Someone left a message. That message has been deleted. Yet the home screen still indicates "1 voicemail". It's annoying and leads me to believe I may have a NEW voicemail!
Hi Jose, I tried the secret code and it didn't do anything for me. When I hit call it just deleted everything that I typed and no menu appeared. Do I need to do something else? I really want to install apps

I recently had to upgrade from a 3G Tracfone to a 4G tracfone (Classic flip phone). For some reason my bluetooth is now not connecting to my vehicle. It is pairing but not connecting. I have an old vehicle and had the Parrot CK3000 installed. It was working fine until I switched phones.

If you get it unlocked, it should work in a lot of places.

I registered my grandmothers tracfone on the website but it will not work and it says “Unknown” when I try and see the phone #. Im lost and don’t know what to do
You have to call Customer service. They can help you with this error

Maybe it’s possible. The one Jose is referencing is on LG’s website. Maybe you can get it shipped to you and activate the device online or over the phone🙂
The external 0.9 inch LED display did not work. I had to return this phone. Has anyone else had this problem? I called LG and Tracfone. This display was defective. (The large internal display was fine.)
My internal screen backlight goes out when fully opened, < 2 years old.
Does this phone have some form of text assistance, like voice text? Trying to find something to make texting easier than having to press a key multiple times for accessing the desired letter. Need a phone for making calls and texting only, to replace an LG 840G that’s no longer useable because of the 3G shutdown.

It is 4G and the only other one I know is the LG Exalt 4G :)

@@CatherineOusselin It's not unlocked. You need to pay them about $100 to unlock it and then you may be able to use it with different carriers.
Too bad this phone doesn't have voice to text with messenger. I saw the at&t alcatel smartflip have that option. I have the LG and I tried to see if it had that but I don't believe so.

With tracfone at least, you can pay an $18 unlocking fee to unlock a phone before it's been active for 12 months

Sadly Tracfone and Straight Talk Wireless require their devices to be on their network from 6-12 months before unlocking them to use on another network. @@JoseBriones when I called them and wanted to carrier unlock my phone that I bought through them they said it has to be activated and refilled exactly 12 months from the date of purchase however that was for an iPhone. (I had bought the device through straight talk)

@@JoseBriones yeah no problem. It might be device specific. I’m not really sure. Is this compatible with all major networks? in my area only Verizon and att work. Verizon’s the best though.

Go to messages. Settings. MMS. Enable group MMS.
@@JoseBriones That allows the texts to come in as a group, but when I reply it only goes to a single person. I've tried Tracfone support a ton, and they're telling me its a limitation of the phone.
This is also my experience with this phone.
@@sarahpelster9944 I've gone down a bit of rabbit hole on this - group MMS WAS added as part of the Kai OS 3.1 update. The trick is you have to start a NEW text thread with a group for it apply after the update.

Good question. Overall, yes. It has some good functions, fast responses, and you can even uninstall the browser and other WiFi connections if you don't want them to have unlimited access to the internet. Here is a eBay listing from a seller that removes a lot of features: ebay.to/3tO7Cbq if you don't know how to do it yourself. If you don't want to remove these features, the regular one will be fine :)

Take out the battery and there is a small SIM compartment. Slide it and insert the SIM.

Press the phone key and you should have an option for history

Sadly, no. The LG Classic only takes apps from apps4flip as they need to modded and customized to avoid the restrictions placed by LG.

I just received this TracFone Carrier-Locked LG Classic Flip 4G LTE, 4 months after I purchased it on Amazon in November. I haven't activated it yet, but on my WiFi network, it only shows 3G, not 4G. Should I be concerned?
Not really once you install a SIM you should be fine.
I need a phone that has no access to the internet. Any suggestions? A phone that is not capable of accessing the internet

How are the buttons? Many of the flip phone have cheap buttons.
These are pretty solid for a phone being $20
@@JoseBriones I prefer good buttons, even if I have to pay a bit more. On some of your videos, you mention the buttons, but not all.
@@cw5982 The best buttons I've tried on a dumbphone are on the Punkt MP02. They are premium and well made, but the device is $350. If I mention the buttons, its because they are bad usually or extremely good. If I don't mention it, they are average and just the regular kind. I'll try to add this to my reviews in the future :) Sunbeam F1 has good (not perfect) buttons $195

I love this device, but the camera is a little off. It makes things look very bright like almost white and not see too well. How do you fix that?

Try searching for LG Wine LTE 2 and you can get it shipped from Europe.
My advice for trying to fix it, after buying a new battery, and another new sim card only to NO advale it just simply is still just will work and even after 2 hour's on the phone with there advise, after that called another company "Con**** Cel**8, and being recorded only to sell me a $59 dollar phone, There just has to be a much simpler way and price for just a newer design for a"Classic" cell phone,, any and all positive comment are all welcome. This phone is 284 dollars from a kosher phone place in Canada., but you are saying its 30 dollars. The one I am considering is kosher so no browser just talk text and waze and email if you choose..why are they charging so much?
Because Kosher resellers like to make a good profit.

Yes, the LG used to be that price. Unfortunately you can't get them any more for that price. They are only sold by resellers that hiked up the price. It also costs more for the unlocked version.
The filter on it also costs us $35 USD and it's included in our price.
@@JoseBriones They can build the phone for me talk text, email, uber and waze, no browser..this is exactly what I am looking for. Paying a premium may be worth it
Does this phone have speech to text???
Yes it does. It has a low power assistant. It works for simple texts like "I am on my way, get the groceries" or something simple like 2 or 3 sentences at most. Don't expect it to type paragraphs for you haha.

Yes. It does work, but you have to enable it. It will sometimes fail, but it’s pretty reliable :)

It is definitely harder than on a smartphone, but you get used to it after a couple tries. There are better alternatives out there though :)
I have the LG Cingular flip IV. This KaiOS phone is nothing but an advertisers dream; everyday it's loaded with ad messages !!!!!! Also, only certain messages and calls can be blocked or marked has spam!!!!!! This phone truly sucks!!!!!!! One of the worst flip phones I ever used!!!!! Buyer Beware!!!!!!!
