It's intended for high schoolers especially h.s. seniors that are preparing for college entrance exams so that they won't be distracted to use their phone all the time. I'm going to be a senior in March and most of my friends have this exact phone. :P Just thought I'd let you know.

Flip phones were often seen as trendy fashion statements. There were so many trinkets companies sold to put on them. That's how it remained popular for so long.

Amazon for 600 and up eBay single sim or dual SIM for 400 and below and if your in the US it'll only work on at&t networks or the mobile I wanna try a different service when I get mine eventually since he was able to make a call on video. So don't quote the service available but they're still all over eBay ships from South Korea
The Nokia brick is one of the best phones. They had the best battery as I had one for four years and it still works. I recharged it and it took a month to run out. Great old phones.
I'm typing on the flip phone now and in using it with straight talk on the at and t towers it doesn't drop calls I still get LTE data high speed and I love the protected design of it I got mine second hand on eBay for 140 best phone choice I've ever made

I literally had it for a year and 3 months before it broke. Companies need to make high-quality stuff like this nowadays. flip phones. Those were the days. I miss those days. I also had a razr. It felt so good to just flip it open. When you're talking, just close the lid and put it back into your pocket. Actually the best thing about having a removable battery was that you can charge a secondary battery via external batter charger. Then just swap 'em out BOOM you have a fresh and charged batter that... enables you to take your phone anywhere without the hassle of being stuck in a area where you have to charge your phone via plug or wireless charging. Yet people love wireless charging. Makes no sense to me. You are still tethered to where the phone is charging. And since your using more then one battery guess what... your battery life span increases as well. Plus you get awesome portability since phone batteries are small. I used to do this with my old Xperia L phone. My new Xperia Xa2 phone has an internal battery which sucks but luckily with that phone you can easily take the back cover off and still replace the battery which is nice.
I still much prefer the feel of the flip phone. It fits snugly in your hands and is comfortable to hold while making phone calls. Unlike the huge, slippery bastards of phones that slip out of our hands and break we have these days...
No one moves the camera, its all effects from the video editor, you can zoom the image and do whatever you want with it so it can look like if the shot was taken from a person.
Smartphones are all the same, just plain, uninspiring, and lazy. They just update the processors and RAM. In the past, it was totally different to have a flip phone made by Motorola, Sony, Sharp, Nokia... all of those differed from each other considerably. Nowadays everyone uses basically the same mini tablet, with just a different logo. Technology nowadays sucks.

When I was in Korea, I noticed that most people over 60 used flip phones. But also, other groups used it a lot like: 1) little kids that just needed basic phones 2) teens or college kids that either didn't have the money for a smart phones OR 3) teens or college kids that didn't want to get distracted by social media while they were studying So it's actually still quite popular amongst several age groups.
My mom still uses a flip phone. My uncle used the same phone from 98 till about 2013 when it finally died. He has a flip phone now too. He's a technology caveman but I bet my mom would get into this kind of flip smart phone. I knew they were popular in Japan but didn't know you could use them here! Where can you buy it?

I would use one of these, what's so hard about putting a separate screen on the bottom and minimizing the bezels so it flows well I hate the idea of actual folding screens it seems they will never be durable enough or fold as flat, but if you made a dual screen flip phone with super thin bezels that will open 180° itd be awesome
As someone who has being doing work outside, I have to say that a phone like this is super useful, because it's lighter, so it doesn't move like crazy in the pocket, and you can attach a cord to it and tie it to your belt for extra safety.

Actually the best thing about having a removable battery was that you can charge a secondary battery via external batter charger. Then just swap 'em out BOOM you have a fresh and charged batter that... enables you to take your phone anywhere without the hassle of being stuck in a area where you have to charge your phone via plug or wireless charging. Yet people love wireless charging. Makes no sense to me. You are still tethered to where the phone is charging. And since your using more then one battery guess what... your battery life span increases as well. Plus you get awesome portability since phone batteries are small. I used to do this with my old Xperia L phone. My new Xperia Xa2 phone has an internal battery which sucks but luckily with that phone you can easily take the back cover off and still replace the battery which is nice.
I still much prefer the feel of the flip phone. It fits snugly in your hands and is comfortable to hold while making phone calls. Unlike the huge, slippery bastards of phones that slip out of our hands and break we have these days...
For real. Modern pbones are way too big.

Smartphones are all the same, just plain, uninspiring, and lazy. They just update the processors and RAM.
In the past, it was totally different to have a flip phone made by Motorola, Sony, Sharp, Nokia... all of those differed from each other considerably.
Nowadays everyone uses basically the same mini tablet, with just a different logo.

I am a 1985 child so while i was growing up in the late 90's and early 2000 we had flip and candy bar phones.... today i hold a state of the art phone....and still to this day I would still rather carry a flip...wish they made a premium flip with new tech but same form factor... hear hear, im a 77 born and have been in the telecom industry initially i have always loved motorola phones they are freaking pioneers, so sad that apple is now leading the telcos rather than motorola , i think for the amount of ingenuity that motorola has bought in radio tech, they should deserve the top space , and wtf is lenovo owning them for these days,,,,, sad.....

Switched back to a flip phone 2 years ago. Love it. I can call and text which is all you need from a phone and its not a distraction while im out with people. Plus a single charge lasts for like 10 days

When I was in Korea, I noticed that most people over 60 used flip phones. But also, other groups used it a lot like:
1) little kids that just needed basic phones
2) teens or college kids that either didn't have the money for a smart phones OR
3) teens or college kids that didn't want to get distracted by social media while they were studying
So it's actually still quite popular amongst several age groups.
My mom still uses a flip phone. My uncle used the same phone from 98 till about 2013 when it finally died. He has a flip phone now too. He's a technology caveman but I bet my mom would get into this kind of flip smart phone. I knew they were popular in Japan but didn't know you could use them here! Where can you buy it?

I would use one of these, what's so hard about putting a separate screen on the bottom and minimizing the bezels so it flows well I hate the idea of actual folding screens it seems they will never be durable enough or fold as flat, but if you made a dual screen flip phone with super thin bezels that will open 180° itd be awesome

As someone who has being doing work outside, I have to say that a phone like this is super useful, because it's lighter, so it doesn't move like crazy in the pocket, and you can attach a cord to it and tie it to your belt for extra safety.
