Beautiful video! I have and use every day a water bottle carrier made of plastic grocery bags. Its a tighter weave and it keeps my water cool for several hours. I live outside of Phoenix so I drink many bottles of water daily. I have several church friends who cut the plastic grocery bags into strips and crochet them tightly together. The end product is a large, light weight bed roll for the homeless that is comfortable and easy to carry. It makes you take a step back and be thankful for what we have.

I live in central FL and I find alot of vintage Disney especially plush. They arent quick sellers but I can never leave them behind.
Anna Maria Island and that entire area is just beautiful. I lived in Central Florida, Tampa area, a long time and makes me a bit nostalgic seeing all that pretty blue water! It’s great for visiting, (and a visit to the beach would be such a treat,) but with living there, the year-round heat was just too much for me. I’m glad you had such a wonderful time there with Roger and your daughter!

Hi Karen & Roger! My parents lived in Bradenton for many years. We were just down there in April and I zipped right over to Manatee Memorial Thrift on Manatee Ave in Bradenton. Fabulous thrift store. I came home with a trunk FILLED with items to sell! Good luck and enjoy your trip! Anna Maria Island is a beautiful destination! I highly recommend the Sandbar restaurant there!

We vacationed down there a few years back. Rented a house for two weeks in February. Beautiful. Found some great thrifts. Gucci bag & brand new Star Wars toys.

I think that was an old Tommy Bahama label, and the size 14 is probably women's. Some traditionally men's labels make women's styles, without the classic shaping like darts. Old Tommy Bahama might not have been as strict on matching patterns, b/c that does add to manufacturing costs.

Those two puppies with the magnets on their nose are called the Kissing Puppies, its on the box. You didn't notice it. You put them together by the noses and it looks like they are kissing. So happy you found someone nice like Roger.

The magnets on the dog salt shakers were to put the dogs together to kiss, not to put them on the refrigerator, I doubt that the magnet on their lips would hold them up on the fridge.

Great finds. My husband is from Bradenton and I used to work on the island. I never knew about the thrift store on Pine. We tried to visit one that is part of another church but it was closed.

That's a great video! I enjoyed it. Looks like you can find lots of good stuff and be thrifty, too. Being a Florida resident, there's many places I have yet to go. Anna Maria island is certainly on my list to go.
I've heard there's a place there called Rod and Reel Pier with some great food!

The coasters at 2:25 are Dorothy Thorpe Mid-Century Modern and sell for $20-25 for a set of six. If I found them locally I probably would have picked them up even though there are only 4 because I sell a lot of these items and often collect sets or bundle glasses with coasters, etc.

I don’t believe there are thrift stores on Sanibel, but definitely thrift stores in the surrounding areas just outside of Sanibel.
That Tommy Bahama Shirt was a Button Up, NOT a Button Down.
A Button Down has Buttons to Button Down the Collar.

If it is listed incorrectly you are subject to an item not as described (INAD) I look forward to your videos every Sunday, and Wednesday, and I just want the best for you. By the way when a man wants a button down shirt, which is "dressier" that is what he wants, and that is what he will search for. I had a boyfriend that was very particular about his wardrobe. All items were counted etc. He knew how many of each type of items he had, and in what colors. Also his shoes, and boots. I got a real kick out of it. But, now I know how many open toed shoes it have, compared to my winter collection of closed toed shoes. He taught me a lot, and now I am just as bad as he was.

Karen was your wood carved wall hanging marked? It actually looks like a Mayan calendar. The Mayas lived mainly in Guatemala. Aztecs lived in Mexico and Incas inhabited South America. I don’t think Peruvian Aztecs are a thing😃. Maybe that’s why it took a while to sell.
