Hello Karen. I am an interior designer. Your large brass lamp is a total score. Often, designers do not want or need matching lamps especially when you have a large show piece lamp as the one you found. I use to go to a designer showroom in Dallas that sold Arteriors to the design trade. You found a classic gem.
Some people seem to be stuck on particular items matching such as lamps and candleholders but I prefer singles. I generally don't even like the look of matchy matchy furniture such as pieces that are sold in sets.
@@andreaschmall5560I'm the same I've never had matching lamps. Usually one on an end table then a nice floor lamp. In a bedroom maybe, but not a living/family room.

Arteriors is a high end brand for sure. My daughter is an interior designer in L A . She has designed and styled many homes in Brentwood and she purchases a lot of brass and metal pieces by Anteriors . When I showed her your lamp she showed me pics of a home she did 2 months ago with a very similar Anteriors lamp that she bought second hand for $300 and hers was missing the finial . What a Great find 👏🏻👏🏻😁
Yes you're totally right. There's a showroom in LA which I have been in and the pieces in there are high end.

Yeah Karen said not having the finial (knob) was a dealbreaker but they are a few dollars at hardware stores. maybe not the exact one but certainly a shiny brass ball is available anywhere. Definitely not a deal breaker for me and in most cases the buyer won’t know or care that it’s not original.

Oh my gosh, I was so excited when you found that arteriors. I worked in an extremely high end interior design company, and this was one of the brands we sold. Comps will be hard to find online though. These companies sold exclusively to designers back in the day. We used their MSRP. Good stuff! Yay!

A close family friend made us a large white ceramic tree for our first Christmas as a married couple (47 years ago) The lights are all a lime green shade and almost every branch has a matching bird. Still love to display it.

I kept yelling look at the cane where you were looking at the blue penguin. Another seller sold one like it for well over $100.00. I have a large mother of pearl Christmas tree with the birds on it. It has special meaning my Mom made it.❤

The Princess House animals were pretty...but that blue and clear glass penguin was exquisite. Especially for shore home decor.

Well, Karen has forgotten more than I will ever know. I'm certain she is aware they are called a finial but was so excited by that lamp she just called it something else. So adorable! That lamp is epic and I will be looking for that name, Arteriors. I would have thought with that name the products would be kind of cheesy but I would be wrong. You don't know until you know.

The brass lamp with the brass finial by Arteriors was EVERYTHING. So glad you decided to get it. BTW, while we're on the subject of brass, VIRGINIA METALCRAFTERS brass metal products, are as nice as Baldwin. I have had a collection of brass candle holders by both companies since the 1980's and I can't tell them apart. Quality, color and weight are identical imo.

Loved the Princess House lion and elephant. Also liked the blue quail.
I have a cabin with a three season porch. I would buy the wall sconces with the mirrors. We lose power quite often and the mirrors disperse the light plus candles can help keep the chill off in back rooms. A candle with a sheet cookie tray helps too. There were so many nice items today. 😊

Another GREAT episode! The huge hammered lamp you bought would be great repurposed as a vase full of Pampas Grass. I was so surprised that you didn't even notice the beautiful hand carved walking stick/cane next to the glass figurines you bought at Roots. I'm so glad you went back and bought the Cross Stitched Cat picture! When you went in your booth, I saw the white Southwestern Vase that I have been coveting for months. But when you left your booth, I didn't see it! Did you take it home so your could finally contact me to purchase it...eh? Sometime, you need to invite a viewer to livestream with you when you go to the big Goodwill (like me) because I go hoarse yelling at you about stuff you miss! lol...looking forward to your next episode! P.S. Roger is so cute!

I believe the dishware is pronounced Sango, with a hard g sound. There was a manufacturer at one time called Sanyo….perhaps that’s where the confusion is. Great video, as always!
Never saw the bird lights on the Christmas tree. I bought one of the trees for 75 cents at a yard sale! One of my great finds!!!!

Yes, I have seen the ceramic trees with the birds. You mostly see the regular colored lights, but sometimes you see the birds instead. I love them!

Yes, I somehow missed this video a month ago. We purchased those compressed washcloths during COVID as part of our “prepper stash” when toilet paper was harder to find. Never needed them and I totally forgot about them!🤣 great idea to keep a few in my bag.👍🏻

Just had a thought -- since it seems like consignment/antique store space is so in demand, why not purchase your own building, carve out the space you want, rent out the other spaces, and hire a manager? I use to do ceramics. I have made about 40 of those Christmas Trees for other people. Yes, the birds go back to the 60’s and 70’s.
I think the Princess House bundled group was a great buy. IMO, It is nice to have a few beautiful and unusual pieces to draw customers into your store, both on Ebay and in your shop.

I found a vintage ceramic Christmas Tree in perfect condition at the Goodwill Bins. It has those birds on it instead of bulbs. It was my best bin find!😃 🌲
