mine just says "Your a bit ahead, so I'll let you struggle some more" and walks away. he doesn't even explain anything in the first place. so aggravating.
Kevin, thank you for this vlookup and your pivot table y'videos-- yes, I have created an acronym/abbreviation/phrase of youtube and video--as well. These two videos explained things in a very simple manner. I went the extra mile and created the spreadsheet's of the examples you show to actually do the vlookups, hlookups, and pivot tables as you show to GET the concept down and not be afraid or in the unknown of what they do.
I have been trying to do a v-look up and with your tutorial it final worked....the one step I was missing was the data in the range I was looking in had to be the first column on the left. Thank you so much!
Hi Kevin, I've been watching your tutorials and they're great, thank you! I've been struggling with vlookup but you've made it so easy!! It would be helpful if you would have a spreadsheet to each video to practise with too!
It's not hard to create the spreadsheet based on the examples he shows. I'm simply replying here before someone else replies and starts trashing the guy since that happens a lot on the net.
Important tip for data organization: when you have a spreadsheet with a lot of columns: just make sure that the column with the lookup value is simply left of the column you want to search in. The Vlookup function can only search to the right! Good luck 😊
Today my science teacher said that I need to do something called a "v lookup" in order to do something in our assignment, he also said it's really hard and it's not worth it to do, saying it took him an hour to learn. fine I said and I learned v lookup thanks to you, I'm going to now impress my teacher thanks to you.
Do you have a video that shows how to compare one spreadsheet with another? I never can figure that out when I am looking for matches on two separate workbooks/files. Thanks!
Hello, and many thanks for the material you've been sharing - it's very useful! One question. Why for the approximate match the vlookup returns initially $50 for Jennifer? Thank you in advance and greetings from Athens, Greece!
You've taught me more than my "teacher" at school to be honest. They make it so confusing sometimes when it doesn't need to be.
