Tchaikovsky: Piano Concerto no.1 - my heart. All my life love this!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️‼️
Anna Fedorova is truly an artist.
i recommend listening to kissins version :p
Rach No.2, my heart aches when listening to such beautiful melody.
Ah.. then you should listen to Shostakovichs piano concerto no. 2, 2. movement. I suggest listening to it late in the evening.
yes... it's my favorite piano concerto... such harmony and syngergy
Check out the Rach 2 by Alexander Malofeev. He was age 15 at the time. It's beautiful. He performed the Rach 3 at age 17, also beautifully.
@@penniesfromheaven9724 Young prodigy. Very beautiful. Thanks!
@@ruiyang7602 Just watched an interview with Malofeev and he was asked if being a prodigy affected him in any way. His answer was he never considered himself a prodigy...that he was always "too old" to be one. (even at the age of 8...lol). He said there were always kids younger performing very good. Such a humble young man.
nna Fedorova is truly an artist.
Glad they recognized the Saint Saens 5th concerto here... a very underrated work
They sure showed the Maestro 💯💫
Alexander Malofeev, young pianist from Russia, just beautifully performed the Lisdt Concerto 1 in Italy. It's on youtube. Malofeev is now 19 yo. You may enjoy checking out his videos. He amazingly performed the Rach 2 at just age 15. Also the Rach 3 at age 17.
The Liszt piano concert is really great. I've been hooked on it, It was the best performance ever.
While I am working from home, I enjoy listing to this music.
me to XD
Beautiful performance, thanks for uploading!
This piano concerto, is so elevating and relaxing, for a worried brain.
Many thanks to RUclips.
I very much agree!!! 😀 it’s therapeutic!
Amazing bravo. .............-
You missed Mozart, he did many piano concertos, many of them consider masterpieces, in my opinion even among the piano concertos that he created (for example 9, 20, 21, 23, 24), there are better than some of the themes ones in this video. But thanks for the compilation
Which pieces in this video do you think are worse than mozart lol?
@@simonvanprooijen Hello Simon, in response of your comment.
I think he could better put the piano concerto no. 5 by Beethoven but for some unknown reason he put the no. 2, better then he could put in the video some of Mozart like the piano concerto no. 23 or no. 21 or no. 20 (they are Mozart masterpieces such as Beethoveen's Piano Concerto No. 5 they are both on the same level of greatness
), these 3 that I have mention by Mozart (in my opinion) I like more, but it should be noted that they are more famous and considered great masterpieces by Mozart in the piano concertos of course then it could be, that would surpass some of the following concerts that appear in the video like:
* Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 2
* Liszt: Piano Concerto No. 1
* Saint-Saëns: Piano Concerto No. 5
...with the rest they compete because are the best.
I am not saying that these great masters have not created brilliant music in their works, they did it of course and this works are great! and i love it but I want to emphasize that Mozart made a great contribution to the musical style that was carried out in concerts for piano even like J.S Bach we could include it
, an example of this by Mozart is found in the examples that I already mention in this comments... Thanks
P.S: Have you ever listened to the Mozart piano concertos that I mentioned? Perhaps yes, but otherwise I invite you to do so my estimated, you can search them on RUclips to find them and then you will understand my point better. But don't worry about that, in the end it's all a matter of taste.
Greetings and have a nice day
@@mightymusictracks9578 Hi, I see what you mean now, I think it would be fair to give 1 Mozart concerto a place in this top 5, not more though, because although his concertos might be brilliant, me and maybe other people don't really like Mozarts style (don't mind my opinion). If it was up to me I would put both Concerto 2 and 3 of Rachmaninov in the list, but basing on what I would think is the average opinion, one is enough, there's nothing wrong with a bit of variety. (Sorry for my english, i'm dutch so...)
@@simonvanprooijen Thank you very much for try understanding my point. And exactly my estimated I also agree with your point, if it would be more appropriate as you mention to give a certain musician a place in this top like one of the piano concertos i have mentioned of Mozart or more Rachmaninov piano concertos (And we all know that they are really masterpieces of Rachmaninov I respect that
) or even many other by great masters of the music like Chopin. I only mention some of Mozart's piano concertos to give examples of some of those that could be included in the vide but not exactly to put them all, however there is no problem actually it´s true with one piece is enough.
And don't worry it's true, everyone has their own tastes in music and that´s the most important thing, because that's the way things should be. Greetings
@@simonvanprooijen Beethoven piano concerto no. 5 best ever
Great selection.
Arthur Jussen is incredible!!!!! Max
something i listen now and then i have some favorits
Aside from the many mistakes of the opening Tchaikovsky I really did like the Liszt piano concerto a lot, very well played, elegant! The Anna Fedorova Rach. is fairly legendary and rightly so.
What mistakes of the Tchaikovsky?
@@jamesrawlings5781 if you have to ask i cannot explain it, trust me many mistakes were made but in general I liked it all
@@DJStefandeJong Well clearly I had to ask. So, there were many mistakes but you can't explain? How big a mistake can it be if there are no words for it?
@@jamesrawlings5781 if you can't hear them it is not worth my time to explain either, too much effort for little to no gain. Sorry
@@DJStefandeJong I didn't ask for an explanation. I asked you to name the mistakes.
I am using this for my homework in quarantine lol

¡Hermoso! Se siente magia musical en esta interpretación
Pourquoi faut-il que le beau nous fasse pleurer ?
I've had to honour to watch a concert in this magnificent hall. I wish I could go there more often.
One of the top five piano concertos (I have personally 10) but Tchaikovsky' No. 1 being one of the top Five, this performance by Sofia Vasheruk: is, for or times, incredible and flawless. I would add to the list. Greig, Bartok, Prokofiev's no. 3, Brahms No. 1 , Chopin's, No. 1 substitute Beethoven's No. 2 by No 5 "Emperor," Rachmaninoff No 2 by the No 3 "the Rach 3"
😍
Quite a few missed/mistaken notes in the intro. Unfortunately they are in places where they are very much noticeable. This is a very difficult concerto and I salute the soloist for having the stamina to work through it.
and also the tempo is little slower (I Think)
I used to listen to this concerto 1.25 of this speed
I prefer Martha Argerich and (some) of Yuja Wang versions
Agree With both... Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto it's a such a difficult concert where the mistakes are such more notable
@@christiangongar honestly the intro isn't all that hard at all. Sure the part where she makes the most mistakes is the hardest bit of the intro but to make so many mistakes (in the whole of this recording) as a professional conservatory trained pianist is quite shocking.
Personally I do like the tempo though.
* music floats into the shower like bubbles popping against your body, the notes of the piano 🎹 actually begin to caress you as you wash your body *
I thought no one would put Liszt in list! Not a joke of words, ok?
Good one 🙂
Epic performance ,bravo .
Excelentes interpretes, obras excepcionais. Qual é a orquestra e seu regente? Obrigado.
why does the lizst concerto start at the second movement?
I don't understand, why select movement 2 of Rach 2 as opposed to movement 1? If you had to choose just one of his movements for this "finest" list, surely 3-1, 2-1 or 3-3 would have been a better fit?
2-1 is great but personally i prefer the second movement especially the end.
People who want relaxation would like 2nd movement in most cases.
movement 2 is out of this world beautiful.
Where is Grieg's piano concerto ?
How is Chopins piano concerto no1 in e minor op11 not on the list?!
exactly what i was wondering...
chopin no1 and rach no 2 are my favs
Even if Chopin's 2nd piano concerto is "less famous" it's still a very beautiful piece, probably even more that op 11
@@ChopinSchubert Chopin's second concerto have bad orchestration
Where is the Emperor by King Beethoven himself? Beethoven is Barry Bonds and Babe Ruth put together. Everyone else is shooting for second place!
Bonds blew it by screwing around with steroids. He was already Hall of Fame shoe-in before the drugs. I have never seen a head as big as his was on steroids. Babe Ruth, a 20 game / season winning pitcher converted to outfielder...would never happen today. Give me Aaron and Mays any day.
Would like to see any of these pianists perform the Liszt B Minor Sonata!
Beethoven piano concerto no5 should has it place in top5 list
Please upload more of such videos of concertos of small cluster ie. 5/6 concertos in each videos lavelling grave, melanchology, happiest, romance, dramatic pieces. Thanks. Arun dey
Emperor not in here?
Liszt concerto is good!
Best piano concert means wrong tempo on the start of the Tchaikovsky?????
I didn't notice. What was wrong about it?
@@jamesrawlings5781 The tempo on the first concerto is very very slow..... We lose the amazing melodies... It is a great list of concertos, but these videos are not very good. You can watch better performances.
@@AlexanderGkamanis I've heard this concerto done by lots of people over the years. I hadn't noticed how slow this one was, but you're right. I have no idea if that's a 'mistake' though. You certainly don't lose any melodies. I don't know what tempo T intended it to be played at, and how much leeway the conductor is allowed, but I think this sounds great.
CHOPIN???
Why? DASH:yes(136/140)…?
SIBELIUS 2ND SIMPHONY
Ow. There's so many botched notes and misses inside the first two minutes of Sofia Vasheruk's Tchaikovsky I really feel for her. So must have been so out of her peace/zone. That hurts to watch
i noticed that.......
What am I missing? I don't play piano, but I've been listening to this concerto on and off for a number of years now. I don't hear what is supposed to be wrong. Help?
what??? chopin concerto is the best!!!! not those ones
ChopinLikesHentai ehh it’s good but not better than these
@@markwhaller1795 then where is Grieg'@ concerto?
Wow she got so many wrong notes, and before someone tells me that it's hard to play, I've heard this same played by others with no issues.
Where is Mozart???????????
