    I love your precise work, as always. In addition to this, the bigger wood blocks have some natural texture of complicated black lines (spalted, I mean), which are very beautiful. Spalted wood is usually expensive, but I guess you can get one from a heap of firewood because you are a skilled maestro. Thank you for sharing the video.

      For a project like that, you'll likely need a band saw and a router.

      @@carmengil55 Neon, A Noble Gas. More of an aspiration than defining. Some neon is trapped in earth's crust but being lighter than air, once released floats up free... unless it is put into tubes with a current and then shines bright. Trapped again but pretty and useful. I'd like to be the free Neon in the upper atmosphere.

    I had a go at this but on a smaller scale.I found using the saker tool worked better for me. I made mine into a key rack for my front door. It's also fun to add glitter in the varnish at the end. Great result.

      @@marmotaworks A contour guage. You can get the mini metal one for accuracy for the smaller pieces if you want to do something with a scroll saw.

    Could I ask how many hours go into a project like this, and how long it takes from start to finish, maybe including the time needed to dry the wood?

      About 40 hours to build it. The drying time for the wood depends a lot on its moisture content.

    I've got the same bandsaw. What blade do you find works best? I spend ages setting it up every time I use it. Great job.

      I am impressed, such an inexpensive saw that withstands all the rough tasks I put it through.
      I use a 6 mm blade for curves.

    Do you let your first epoxy pour set before pouring the second, or just pour them all at the same time? Also, where do you get the charcoal from?

      I pour everything at the same time.
      I bought the charcoal on Amazon.

    Dear friend.. excellent job as always!!! You have inspired me so much that i also got hooked up in woodworking. Thank you. I have a question for you. Am wondering about the pieces (puzzle) of wood that they are so close to each other, if the epoxy that penetrates in between them, is enough to hold them together through out time or if you are using something else for strength to hold them together. TIA.

      For an artwork that only needs to be hung on the wall, it holds up perfectly. When I make tables like that, I usually place a wooden board underneath.

    When can we expect something conpletely different from you? I for one would love to see this type of project turned into a beautiful guitar body or something. The end grain might make it tricky to route the neck joint though.

      You're right, I have to do something different. However, I receive commissions for these types of jobs and take the opportunity to make the video. But I need to find time to create a different video.
