This boys 4x400m heat at the 2024 Penn Relays featured some antics playing to the crowd and a stare down, all happening mid-race.

Why the waterfall start? Lanes seem much less hazardous
Lanes on the inside of the rail in the middle of the track less than 400n. Those athletes on the inside of the rail have to start way back to actually run 400m
This meet would be a week long in lanes.
I hate Pen relays man they just stack lanes and it's Hell in there. And if you don't slap a fool you might get over pushed lol .....i ran at that event 8 years in a row

Me too Man.. It was some BS.. I got tripped by the guy that fell down in front of me. Cost us a spot..I am still pissed.

@JayDublow that was the highlight of a young jevaugn minzies career who was an outstanding junior sprinter. That was his moment an he blew it. The world will never forget that cause he never redeemed himself after not even at the senior level. Its good to be a fierce competitor but be humble.
@JayDublow something similar also happened to leeford green when he just transfered to kc. 400m hurdles semifinal i think it was at champs he left everybody for dead an was on the home stretch alone show boating an fell flat on his face just before the finish line infront an almost pack stadium.

That was weird as hell, i _guess_ dude was celebrating but... in the middle of a relay, and when he was already looking so goofy having totally run out of gas? Maybe he's one of those dudes who more a track-casual and just loves clowning
I'm guessing this is the last year the leadoff runner from Jamaica travels with the team. Apparently, he doesn't understand...you can't win the race on the first leg, but you can surely lose it!
Commentary is entirely about the team in second the whole race with a ‘looks like Hayfield is going to win it’ right at the end. That prelim time ended up taking Hayfield to the COA and it was just a shrug from the guys calling the race. 😂😂
When I was in high school running track the Jamaicans always gave us problems

Watching it again you know what i think happened the kid in red was raising his arms in the air trying to get the crowd going thinking he was in the lead so when the kid in white past him he was prolly like what was all that talking about🤣🤣thats why the kid in red stumbled cuz he realized he messed up and tried to recover
Imagine running for time and your teammate does something like this and the whole team didn't get in because the time was too slow. I would've loved to see his reaction. Embarrassing😂😂😂

Looks like a clown show of a race with people piled on top of people. Doesn't bring out the best in running at all. What a mess.
That guy should be disqualified. Talking to the other runner. That should not be allowed 😢

@@Goodgurl115 idk to me as long as the talking isn't all personal a little bit of talk isn't bad in fact I could be good for the sport bring out some rivalries push people to be their best
