  • The Child Health and Wellbeing Network was delighted to host this Creative Health Celebration Event for the second year of the Chris Drinkwater Creative Health in Primary Schools Awards.
Our Creative Health projects demonstrate the beneficial impact of arts on the wellbeing of primary aged children, bringing creative expertise to the classroom, and to especially benefit those in the highest areas of deprivation.
    • Schools may have considered Creative Health as a way to enhance their Relationships and Health Education (RHE) curriculum. They may also have considered how Creative Health can link to pupils’ personal development. Schools are crucial in preparing pupils for their adult lives, teaching them to understand how to engage with society and providing them with plentiful opportunities to do so.
    • Creative organisations may already be working into schools or may wish to consider new partnerships to support schools in delivering this part of their curriculum in 24/25.
In this event recording you can see our fabulous second-year examples in our region and hear about the launch of the exciting 2024/25 programme - make sure YOUR work (existing or new developments in your 24/25 academic year) is included in this year’s competition to showcase your work and be considered for financial awards for your project! We are keen to attract entrants from across a wide range of arts delivered in schools from across the North East and North Cumbria.
