Where is the CB7?? "Bad news boys" CB7 UPDATE EP. 26 - 92 Honda Accord
Bisimoto doesn't sell s*** for these engines anymore I built my head with all of his parts a year ago and then my timing belt broke I bent all my exhaust valves about 4 months ago and I emailed them to get new valves they said they no longer sell these parts for these engines only electric cars FYI
That’s tragic. I’m pretty sure supertech or ferrera make valves for the f22 and there’s still the delta regrind cam. And we can just run any h22 adjustable cam gear I think…. That’s super sad to hear tho…
They're going out of business in a hurry then!
@@JaayPeeBuilt so you think possibly a h22 DOHC cam gear will work with the f22ax head?
I think we can even run d16 cam gears… I haven’t yet but just count the teeth and if they match up it should work
That's dope. And yes you are very right about counting teeth. Thank you
We’re running +0.5mm C.P. pistons for a Mitsubishi 4G63 (pistons turned around backwards), ‘93-‘96 H22A Eagle rods, stock 95mm F22A crankshaft and stock sleeves in my buddies ‘93 4DR CB7 SOHC F22A turbo build. Made 370whp@17psi with a Mitsubishi EVO big 16G turbocharger and exh manifold. Tuned on E85 using Hondata S300. Tons of other goodies in the engine/trans. BTW - we never, ever, ever remove the balance shafts from any of our F/H builds…ever. Balance shaft belt stays on and everything. And we’re also using K series shift cables and RSX shifter but with the STOCK bracket on the transmission 🤷♂️
Anyways, hope you get the F23 back up and running soon!
Posted at the perfect moment. I was looking for something new and fresh to watch
Aye thanks man😎
Great content as always just fyi the f22 is more compatible with the h23 rods and ehxaust intake and think like that.the h22 is compatible with the f20b
Glad to see your getting back into this motor. I loved following this build. So informative with all of your videos. Your a master of your craft sir!
Thanks man I appreciate it🙏🏽
The build is definitely clean. Just hate that the block got messed up a little bit. But definitely love the dedication bro keep up the good work!
Yeah it’s a huge bummer but I’m just lucky that damage didn’t go any further
Thanks Jay! You legit helped me find one of my favorite songs beat melody whatever u wanna call it!
ruclips.net/video/6bKEPX_vUN8l/видео.html look at the couple videos I got I'm all for f series all day
Ayye glad I could help👌🏽
It could have fell on the timing belt and bent the valves. Saw that before after a "mechanic" did a timing belt job on a mk4 GTI 1.8t and left the mount bracket bolts loose
Luckily the timing belt didn’t make contact and if you look at the valves they’re perfect no contact with pistons at all👍 pistons are perfect, crank pulley did make contact with the frame rail which is what I was worried about but I got lucky
I have three cb7's two 91 sedans and a 1993 couple I love em all best cars to daily drive imo I look forward to one day building a similar setup such dope content 👌 appreciate you mane
Couple more and you can drive 1 a day
Thanks man appreciate it! You got any wagons?
@@JaayPeeBuilt no I had a chance to get one for 400 dollars but the person flaked out last minute I dont blame em tho they are rare here in California
Also got an -92 accord f22a3. Been on the project list now many years, gonna fix it up for my son who has fell in love with it. With such low compression rate, i guess a turbo charger could be installed on it. However... Not sure how to do with the ecu and stuff when or if i modify the engine!?
Easy to tig it and fix it.
Could the extra oil pressure have been from the balancer being blocked?
F23a1 block. Easy swap
What Head Gasket do you use, F22A1 Or F23A1?
what are the spec for the piston rings. maybe the gap too large causing the blow by. Also might want to do the block breather mod since you high compression.
i have a f22a that need a new transmission will a f23 trans fit with no mod?
Glad to hear the block isn’t cracked man👍🏼.
How much power was it making?
I have the same transmission in my cd5 btw👌🏼
My bad bro for the power question. Just finished watching the video. Was initially watching it on my lunch break so I didn’t get to finish it then. But don’t be too bummed out man, good thing you still get to tune her in the future.
Yeah that was a huge relief! I’m not too sure I never got it to the dyno before I crashed. And that’s dope how do you like the trans?
@@JaayPeeBuilt oh fo man it’s all good. And yeah I like my trans, got it hooked up to a h22. It’s honestly my first swap so I don’t have much experience with other engines/transmissions but it’s a big than what came stock. It revs about 3k @ 60mph haha
Did you relocate your oil filter. I'm intrigued in what you have going on. If you wouldn't mind explaining
Yeah that’s an oil filter relocation if you check out my channel i have videos of most of the build
I'm trying to convert over to k-series shifter cables and k-series shifter box, I legit just waited almost 2 weeks to get a used shifter cable I'm assuming they're kind of hard to find for me where I'm at, but how hard was it to mount it bro? I'm not going to lie I kind of forget whether you have a video installing it in the sedan (rip)
Just bolt up a conversion bracket and install kseries cables and shifter.
Looks like AZ
Yep AZ born and raised🌞
@@JaayPeeBuilt I knew it looked like the east side moved here 15 years ago from Los Angeles never looked back
@@JaayPeeBuilt u know I got my Honda looking to find a good mechanic to do some work for me
@@fernandojuancadena2475 hahaha yep Chandler, and once you can get past the summers it’s pretty dope here.
@@JaayPeeBuilt for the first two summers I couldn't breath outside and I discovered a/c
Are you gonna use a 5 speed from f23a accord?
No I have an H22 T2W4 Trans for it. I have an old video on it I think ep13
@@JaayPeeBuilt since your using the f23 block is it possible to use the f23 tranny only reason I wanna know is because I have a 92 automatic cb7 and a manual 98 accord(f23) thanks for the response btw keep grinding on the coupe !!
How cost for itb
I think they were $700-800
