Musk is hard to explain. But is very distinctive in perfumes, like patchouli. I tried to explain in my video that musk made this fragrance smell "outdoorsy". I am not a huge fan typically, but a lot of people are. I looked it up out of curiosity, " Musk, often described as a warm, earthy, and sensual scent, is similar to the aroma of a natural musk gland found in male musk deer, among other animals. The scent is rich, deep, and velvety, making it unique and unlike any other fragrance in the world of perfumery." Pastel Skies by Bath and Body Works is super strong on musk to me. Try smelling different musky perfumes and see if you can spot it in each!
I absolutely love the Waterlily Springs but the Seasalt Coast smells like men's to me and I do not like this strong scent. Ok...back to the "musk"...I've heard this description before....but honestly...I liked the older musk perfumes....and never once smelled an animal smell! So That will I guess will always be a complete mystery to me lol!! I wonder if all who say they don't like musk actually smell the musk...or do they just not like the idea of musk being in their perfume? 😂
All musk is synthetic now since natural musk is banned because it comes from poor animals. Synthetic musk doesn't break down, accumulates in the body and is a hormone disruptor. I avoid it in everything
Picked these up and sea salt coast does smell good but it’s too masculine for a woman. This would be perfect for a man and I’d prefer to smell it on a man than myself lol. Taking it back and exchanging it for water Lilly springs body cream because the mist smell so dang good
