Are there speed limitations while driving with the iKamper 2.0? Also is the rack system used in the video adequate enough for use with the tent, and will it fit the 2020 Rubicon’s?
I have the same set up on my 2020 JL rubi. Just got back from Utah and Arizona. 4300 miles round trip with the tent making the satellite radio cut in and out every 15-20 seconds (useless) Also 3 of the 4 mounting bolt stripped out while leaving our 3rd national park. Not happy....contacting the manufacturer as soon a we get back.
We have the 2X and it has a 70mph limit. Also we haven't had any issues with the mounting brackets and we've been on the road 2 months (we're full time overlanders/Jeeplife) and haven't had a single issue.

appreciate the vid but the ikamper 2.0 has flaws, weather it was a bad batch i dont know,,if i was to purchase the one you just demoed i would be happy but theres too many complaints from too many people and yet there alot of people that are extremely happy with there purchase, for me theres too much inconsistency as i am more confused than ever as this is a very very expensive tent,,all these people cant be wrong,,whats your theory
So this is made in Korea...they make the best Covid-19 testing kits, the best Covid-19 masks, the best android phones, and now...the best rooftop tents?????
It's outrageous! I bet that with some skills and patience you could do it yourself in the garage. I just looked it over the website and this ikamper goes for USD 3500 plus... wtf?!

Wow, thank you! Appreciate your kind words, Tom!
This is an awesome demonstration. Thank you
Is it safe to drill into the top to mount solar panels?
Is there a link to the rack setup?
3:50 I wish the original owner of my tent knew about that. My sky light is turd brown at this point. 🤦

@@kevincooper4074 how did the mounting bolts strip? Just asking because I just got my ikamper set up 2 weeks ago but yet to take it out. Thanks.

Any chance you could show the Yakima Skybox Lo Carbonite or Thule Alpine size on a Jeep Wrangler?
Can a thicker mattress be purchased?
At this time iKamper does not offer a thicker mattress option. Third party provider would be your best option
possible for jL Skytouch ?

Produce a video with the annex to reveal its room for the Mini iKamper
How are these roof rack rails supporting the weight of the tent and occupants if they are just gutter mounts? Should only have 150 lbs capacity.
The backbone system is not a gutter mount roof rack and my 2 bar system holds 530 lbs static.
@@rhye_guy7717 bro
Do you not know that your vehicle has a weight rating regardless of what rack you have on it

I wish I had an answer for you, but I would suggest reaching out to iKamper to speak with them directly about any issues that you are having
If the dynamic weight rating for the jeep is 100lbs... uhhhh whats up doc?
Bed support brackets are cheap and highly recommended
The backbone system used in this video is rated much higher than mounting just to the factory top.
Awesome detailed review.
Glad you appreciated it. Wise in the racks, are we.
@@rackattack what roof rack do you recommend for a 2018 Jeep Wrangler 4 door? I’m want to mount one of those ikamper tents on it.
I guarantee you'll forget to take out those gas strut supports everytime!

Hell of a nice tent! But, almost 4k?! No way! Something like 1500 maybe.
Good point. I could never understand why these tents are so expensive. May as well buy a camper van!
Get what you pay for.
But it is a lot for something made in China. Can find brands made in USA or Europe for same price
Please keep mic with you sir...!!
Rule #1 no shoes in the tent 😂
Thank! You! My soul left my body seeing that
Great tent, but for $4k? To expensive.
Good point. You can get a house extension for that!
@@sadikmeah4057 you can’t take a house extension to remote areas of the world. 🤷🏻♂️
Let's come back to earth with the pricing of these things sheeple.
