    I purchased mine in the palo yellow and I fell in love with it the first time I rode it. Seat height is high for me at 5 foot 7 inches but i fitted a low seat and wear Alpine Stars adventure boots which have a decent sole and heel plus fitted 30cm insole risers in the boots as well.

      Low seat would make a difference, is the seat still comfortable?

    phone holder looked like it’s not been adjusted properly, I have used this same holder for thousands of miles and it’s been solid on and off road .

      Can pretty much guarantee the phone holder wasn’t adjusted properly. Not sure why I couldn’t get it to fit properly. Great bike though

    I did like the bike with the red, white and blue colour scheme.
    I don’t look at this bike as a poor man’s GS. But more of a competitor to KTM’s 890R. If I was after a more dirt road oriented bike, this would be high on the list.

    • @BikerTorque
      @BikerTorque  2 месяца назад

      I think that’s it, it is definitely a more dirt oriented bike that the 1250 / 1300 GS

    Poor mans 1300... rubbish. Not everybody wants such a huge and heavy bike. I really like the F900GS. Good review.

      Thanks for watching and glad you liked the review. We both loved the F900GS, one of the best F series bikes I’ve ridden, and if it wasn’t for the seat height, possibly the best adventure bike I’ve ridden.

      @@BikerTorque Im 5'4" with 29" inseam and ride mine just fine. True it is tall, and there is a limit to be sure, but this isn't it.

      Not sure who would assume it’s a “poor man’s 1300” totally different bikes with totally different purposes and 10 grand apart. I’ve owned 1200 800 850 and currently 1250 gs over the years and can safely say the 1300 is just too fiddly and will never be bought by me anyway, All these spoof buttons and gimmicks is just too much to be honest not to mention the worst “quick shifter” on the market by a country mile. The 900 will be my next bike.

    Another bike I'd love to ride. If only I had loads of money and time to enjoy the fruits of 2024 life.

    I'm sticking with my 2010 F800GS. Rider modes - your wrist. Only off road button is ABS off. If you rely on that techno crap, you lack confidence in your riding ability. I enjoy old style, however cruise control is another matter.

      OK so I kind of get it about the level on tech, I also enjoy riding bikes with very little tech, in fact my two favourite bikes have drum brakes…but don’t agree the tech men’s a rider lacks confidence, in fact I think it’s the exact opposite, the level of tech means they can push a bike harder than they would otherwise be able to.

    Gerund Strasse, perhaps, although certainly not an R series competitor.

    • @BikerTorque
      @BikerTorque  2 месяца назад

      Actually I think if you do a fair bit of dirt roads and off road it’s a very serious competitor to the R series GS. Both great bikes though

    All the power you'll ever need & off road chops to boot. It's just a pity about the fuel capacity, but how else is BMW going to push buyers up to the bigger GS. But it's not just BMW. I have a couple of bikes that are excellent, except for the woefully tiny capacity fuel tanks.

    • @BikerTorque
      @BikerTorque  2 месяца назад

      I think the adventure version has a bigger fuel tank for those who are going to to more touring on it. But all up, wonderful bike

    I am 5'9" as well with only a 31 inch inseam and that seat height is just too high to be comfortable for me. So these bikes are no good to me. If Royal Enfield can do a reasonable seat height, why can't the rest. I understand motocross bikes seat height requirements but these are not motocross bikes.

      It was great when rolling being up nice and high, and wonderful ground clearance, but yes just a touch to tall.
