    This match really shows the implications of these new break rules. I personally really like it

    I'm curious why Styer didn't shoot the 1-9 into the side on game 3? It looked like it was perfectly lined up.

      Because the cue ball was too close to the 1 and not frozen, so it would’ve been difficult to avoid a double hit

    These two gentlemen turn me on. Their strokes are so sweet!
    I’ve just had one of the greatest pool playing nights of my life. Played out of my skin (for nothing but pride), and played the greatest safety I’ve ever played. Even won me the match 😎
    Seeing these two battle it out is the perfect ending to my night 🎱

      They wouldn’t let them play as Russians. Which I don’t know if I like that. They had nothing to do about the war and they aren’t going to talk Putin into quitting so they can play pool.

      @@brettbarker8444 It's a bit more entangled than you think. If you look up his old matches, he's wearing Gasprom sponsor patches on his t-shirt, the company which is the main source of Putin's war money, so it would be kind of inappropriate to let him promote it. He's lucky they let him as a neutral, it's all fair.

    • @hpe-eo4ce
      @hpe-eo4ce 2 года назад +3

      They need to actually get to those later rounds first, and if they have the extra time why not use it to more carefully plan and execute certain shots especially if their opponent can do the same?

    I absolutely can't stand these new racks. How are they so widely used when they so clearly fuck with the natural flow of the break? Sounds like a top-down decision if I've ever heard of one. Snooker would never allow this nonsense

    • @andosan5995
      @andosan5995 2 года назад +1

      They assure that all balls are touching so you can’t say the ref was messing with my rack to screw me or helping my opponent by gapping the rack in his favor. Also I use magic racks all the time and they never seem to affect the break in any meaningful way

    • @GnashBistro

      My guess - somebody paid shit ton of money to sell this particular brand of template. There are much thinner magic racks that don't push balls away but this one is clearly a bad choice.
